Svinhufud Posted March 23, 2018 Share Posted March 23, 2018 Twice I have tried to start combat using the cutter. Each time I'm facing the wind with no sails and no speed through the water. Impossible to get under way and fight. Have to sit there and be slaughtered. Must be missing some trick to fall off the wind. Aster Posted March 23, 2018 Share Posted March 23, 2018 Thats called being stuck in irons, it shouldn't really be a problem in 7th rates like the cutter as they sail very well even right next to into the wind. You have to manual sail if you get stuck in irons (take manual control of the sails). There should be a tutorial in game about manual sailing now if you hit sail and ESC do that.
