Not only WIA/KIA officers on critical units in the line, not only the approach of enemy divisions; the worst part is waiting for reinforcements and looking down and see them just sittting there and you have no idea how long they've been sitting there. Perhaps a variety of bugle calls: taps for an officer, charge for reinforcement, Reville for the approach of an enemy, GarryOwen for the hell of it when the cavalry appears.
