  1. Critically needed! I would hate to see Napoleonic-sized armies roaming all over the colonies! From what we know, the loyalty mechanic seems very likely to do just what you are hoping for.
  2. Same for me. Shogun 2 was the last CA game that I enjoyed. I had such high hopes for Rome 2 but after what I consider a complete fisaco of a game, I pretty much wrote them off. Imperator: Rome was the final straw for me with Paradox. Funny how Rome titles ended my hope for the two big strategy companies for me! UG: American Revolution looks like Game-Labs is going the extra mile to add realistic; thoughtful, and enjoyable mechanics. I check every day for word on early access on Steam!
  3. Yeah, soon to a Dev that has worked on a project for several years may not mean the same thing as it does to us eager fans! I am hoping by the end of May.
  4. All we know is that Early Access will begin soon.
  5. "Looking forward to this game. Hopefully there will be highland regiments present " I can't imagine that they won't be! Same with the German mercenaries!
  6. Just about any conflict from 1700-1870 using this engine is going to be an instant purchase for me!
  7. That degree of control sounds excellent! So essentially, it sounds like we can tailor our armies as we see fit, within the regimental structure. To be clear, as Gundric alluded too, can we only do this during regimental creation and then that regimental structure is permanent, or can we be very flexible and change the regimental composition before a particular battle or at any time during the campaign? I have not anticipated a game so much in many years!
  8. It is quite beautiful! Just need a toggle to remove the overhead unit icons to make it majestic!
  9. That sounds great! I didn't think they were this far along. Thanks for the info!
  10. What a gorgeous game! The units and terrain look absolutely stunning! For me at least, the overhead icons for troop strength and unit type detract quite a bit from the overall look. Will those be an option. I believe that by not having them present, the game will look much better and it will add a bit of difficulty for the player and require attention to details on the battlefield and the need to estimate enemy stregth. Optional of course, since some people prefer to get info at a glance. Oh, I almost forgot! When is release? LOL!
  11. Yeah, this looks like my dream game! A Seven Year War campaign would complete my gaming life!
  12. The Devs did say that they are definitely doing a Napoleonic game and I figure that UG: AR will be used as a way to work up to what will be a major undertaking with Napoleonic warfare. In the meantime, I am really looking forward to UG: AR!
