  1. Did anyone else's campaign disappear overnight? I was playing a 1900 American campaign. I was in year 1925. I shut down last night and came back this morning and it was gone. I restarted the game and now it crashes when I try to continue the campaign.
  2. That is the exact location where I am having a problem. The port is mine, but the territory is a Russian resurrection. My order of elimination as Britain was Spain, Austria-Hungary, Italy, France, Russia, China, Japan, United States. China popped back up, but disappeared the next turn.
  3. I am having a problem with the game crashing. Obviously, I am not able to submit a bug report. The year is 1957, I am Great Britain. I have eliminated all nations except for Germany. They are left with the 2 ports in the western Baltin and the Netherlands which they conquered. There are a couple of land invasions going. I have 2 naval invasions going on with each being over 2 million tons. Really, no more than 10 turns before I own most every port. Russia popped back up in the east, but does not have any ports. When I hit the next turn button, the game starts the cycle, then crashes. It has done this a few times. I am not using any mods.
  4. Its so bad for me, I have just put 1 twin launcher on my late game destroyers and load up on 4 or 5 triple turrets of 4.5 to 5.5 inch guns. They can take down light cruisers pretty easily. In an earlier version of the game, my cruisers were mostly torpedoes and I was wiping out fleets beyond visual range with 24 inch oxygen torpedoes. Some balance between the 2 would be good.
  5. I am very frustrated. Playing a 1920 British campaign. By the end of 1923, I have been in a war with Austria, Russia and Japan, who are also at war with each other for a year and a half. I have had 4 fights. 1 with Russia was decent size, 2 more that were 1v1 cruisers and 1 fight with Japan. Japan was 2 of their CAs with 1 of mine. Theirs were nearly dead since I have 4 minelaying subs at both ends of the Red Sea. In v1.08, I would have had many more fights by this time. I am also getting many game freezes. I am not able to progress past Jan 2024. I have had to restart the game several times, even after letting the game sit for over an hour. It really isn't worth the effort to start it up at this point.
  6. The game keeps crashing after hitting the next turn button. All my ships are inport starting refits after my first war has ended. It goes thru everyone's status update, then freezes when it is updating missions. Its very frustrating.
  7. Cut them some slack. They fix one problem, a few more pop up. They are professionals, let them do their jobs without complaining that it is not ready when you want it to be.
  8. Thos "Pocket Battleships" were built with were advertised to have a 10,000 ton displacement to meet the treaty's limit for a heavy cruiser. However, the Germans lied about the actual displacement, just as the Italians and Japanese did for some of their cruisers. The US Brooklyn class light cruisers had 5 triple 6" turrets. They had a heavier broadside than some actual heavy cruisers. The Japanese Mogami class also started with 5 triple 6" turrets but were upgraded to 5 twin 8" turrets, changing them from light to heavy cruisers. The distinction between the types was pretty arbitrary.
  9. I started a 1930 campaign. I am getting alot of crashes. Designed 2 ships, exited designer. Went back in and it crashed. Played a turn, went back into designer, it worked. Played another few turns and the game crashed again.
  10. Wwen I play GB, I move several task forces for Portsmouth and Plymouth to the the med. I stop them in Gibralter first then moe them to bases in Malta and Cyprus. Quite oftern then get intercepted by Austria before they make it to Malta. I find them back in Gibralter whether they need repairs or not. Never back in southern England. I also get the same thing when playing the French where I move them to Corsica and North Africa. Thats where they go back to when damaged. I don't move stuff from the Atlantic ports to the Med ports
  11. When I am GB and am moving ships to the Med, I start with moving them to Gibraltar and then Malta. Then any time they get damaged they go there. They always go to the last port they were in.
  12. Just fought a UK 1940 campaign. The Germans surrendered first then several months later the Austro-Hungarians collapsed. I did not think this was in place yet. The reason the BC # was so high was that I used minimum displacement, beam and draft for type IV with 2 triple 17 in. turrets with lots of 24 in oxygen torpedos about 69 million each. Then made destroyers once the game started. Minimum price for 38 knots and 2 double launchers. But they never really saw any combat.
  13. There would be real problems with bringing them back. The vast majority of the surface navy other than carriers use gas turbines for power. The BBs use boilers. There aren't many Boiler Techs remaining, if any. Can't really cut thru armored decks to replace the engineering plant. Its not just the boilers that would have to come out, its the steam turbines as well. Then there are the other systems that are use steam to work. They also need Gunner's Mates for the guns. I would imagine that there are none remaining who are qualified on 16 in guns. The manuals are still there, but experience is needed to teach. I am sure there are plenty other systems and personnel issue that would need to be resolved as well.
  14. Just finished up a 1940 British campaign. There was not a single battle. Not that I declined any fights. None came up. In an effort to make things more difficult, I started with 24 heavy cruisers. Half were big guns, half were torpedo spammers. 6 task forces, 3 to the Med and 3 the North Atlantic. Added destroyers and light cruisers, then started battleships and battle cruisers. Eventually I was able to blockade both simultaneously. Then the Austrians collapsed. I still had 4 pairs of heavy ships under construction with support ships. It was interesting to win a war without actually fighting. It wasn't much fun.
  15. I did that last night. All older ships gethered together in the Med. Year 1906 in a Austrian 1890 campaign.
  16. I ran into this as well. I was doing a 1940 German campaign. I won every battle. Only lost 1 heavy cruiser the entire war. The Baltic Sea was blocked off and the English Channel was blocked from anyone entering. I fough nemerous 4K VP battles. All the points went to my opponets. A couple of fights more and I would have lost the campaign. Only reason I did not lose was that Italy went into revolt.
  17. I have seen that as well. 2 of my opponents had that. They were building crazy amounts of ships that had no crews available for them.
  18. I had gotten a 40K to a very small amount. It was a 1940 British campaign. First battleof the war, about 4 months in. 6 G3/N3 battleships vs a large varied German fleet. They were right on top of me. So on top, that their destroyers were on one side of me and the rest of the their flett was on the other side. This was before formations could dodge, so I had to break up my fleet and make hard turns. My battleships ate a ton of torpedos but none sank. Sank every last one of them. They surrendered right after that. Even though I wanted to continue, the surrender was accepted. Unfortunately it was a month ago and I don't have a screen shot.
  19. I got the game in late 2019. I think it was $50 ish. I have gotten my money's worth on it, so no complaints about the price dropping.
  20. I found that as well. They just start scrapping their ships. A few each turn, then they surrender
  21. Just did a 1930 British campaign. Decided to just make battleships. Tech allowed for 9 G3/N3 battleships of 53K tons. Made them with 4 twin 16 in turrets with some 6 inch secondaries and 2 twin 22 in torpedo launchers. First fight was a convoy defense4 BBs against a few heavy and light crusiers and some destroyers. Never saw them. Second fight was a German strike. Delayed it 1 month. Second month I ended up with 6 of my BBs against 2 BBs, 3 BCs, 3 CA, 4 CL and 2 DD. 2 of the CL were right on top of me, so 2 BBs ate alot of torpedos, but the survived and killed the cruisers. The other 4 BBs targeted the BCs, killed them, then their BBs. By the end of the fight 1 CA, 1 CL and a DD escaped. 6 damaged BBs for me. A 45K victory point battle. Germany went into revolution and that was the end of the campaign.
  22. Thanks, That did the trick.
  23. I lost power when a circuit breaker flipped. I was playing the game when this happened. After turning my computer back on, I tried getting back in the game. The start screen said that a game was in play. It also said if it was not me to try changing the password. I did that and logged back in. It still said that a game was in play. I am not able to get back into the game. What do I do now?
  24. Yesterday, I had several French super battleships sunk under me by single torpedo ammo detonations. Today I tried the opposite. 15 destroyers against 1 French battleship. It took 24 torpedo hits to sink it. The game's AI cheats. On top of it, the French battleship was a complete monstrosity. 4 twin turrets forward, 1 aft. The secodary tower was hanging over the stern.
  25. I just built a Frech modern battleship with maximum displacement. I had good torpedo, flooding defense and a thick belt. It took one torpedo midships from a Russian cruiser and it blew up. I knew that they said that ammo detonations were possible with torpedos. This was very unexpected.
