  1. My guess is that they wont interfere in the current UA:D game design, but we will see this game get hastily finished by the end of this year with a f2p sequel announced soon after and it will be a copy of this game except with premium ammo and skins, research trees and horrible grind. I hope that the devs will just quit if the new owner will interfere with the current game. It would probably be the worst thing to see the devs become shills for f2p grinding model and regress this whole forum into their totalitarian shithole where criticism wont be allowed. Still, if the current AI will become PvE and they will integrate PvP as the main part, I (and hope other people here) wont accept any kind premium time or currency as a compensation for the 46€ we paid for an offline product focusing on campaign and historical accuracy with ZERO additional transactions. No less than a full refund if they will impatiently decide that chasing whales is more important than the interests of the game-labs current fanbase.
  2. Thank you for better explaining this to me, from the changelog it sounds like the CBs are linked to the player progression, meaning that you cant pick a ship hull or technology in cbs until you research it in campaign. Im really glad that this was just a misunderstanding. You are right about the dev mode, I didnt think that one through before answering and completely forgot that testing on this scale would mess with the report system, I apologize for the choice of words. Thanks again and good luck with the update!
  3. At first I was happy but the more I read the more dissapointed and pissed I am. You really have to ruin all the fun do you? Linking custom battles to our campaign progression? Is this a joke? I was happy that we finally get an offline version of naval games that are mostly online grinding p2w BS and then you do the same thing to the singleplayer game? What if I get tired of the old ships in the first hours of the campaign? Why shouldnt I be able to build whatever ship I want in the CUSTOM battles right away? On top of that you turn off the debug menu. We are really just playing a glorified demo no different from EA "alpha" and "beta" versions of their games. This is a typical "AAA nanying" because god forbid a dev would left a few cheats around for players who want them, not to mention for the current players who are supposed to be "alpha testers". Maybe there is something just missing about CBs in changelog and I got it wrong (I hope), but the debug menu decision is stupid as hell, double that in alpha version. There should be more options, not none... give players some freedom, you dont have to move a finger for it.
  4. Despite my post above, the topic never appeared on the fist page, and it tells me that the last post is from november 7, yet I can see my last post in different browser. Buggy forum?
  5. I read the steam forums for this game and Im confused. Some dev there states that: "We might consider custom battle editor after or near the full release, but at the moment it is a little bit too early to provide any guarantees or exact dates" But last month the dev here said this: "The first functional Custom Battle Editor is planned for the next patches. We will provide more details later." Since steam EA (not full) release is estimated for mid 2020, does that mean we wont get the CBE for the next 12 or 6 months? I hope there is a mistake somewhere, because it is the second most important game mode, and Im sure everyone wants to experiment freely without the constraints of pre-designed tutorial or campaign.
  6. This game really needs custom battles, even some barebones implementation would be better than the repetetive tutorial we have now.
  7. This may be a little useless feedback in this topic but I have to say, that I didnt found the naval academy fun enough until I created a cheat table to zero out the weight, cost and set a custom number of ships. With so many maxed out OP ships I completed the naval academy rather quickly, but multiple times and I still want more. I dont expect devs to implement this kind of features in naval academy, but I really hope that this kind of unrestricted construction will be featured in custom battles when they will finally arrive.
