I have come across a few flash fires now, haven't yet seen one kill a ship. It blows the turret off and you remove the turret, but I would have thought a flash fire blew the ship apart?

Oh I have seen them one shot a BB, also seen chain reaction flash fires as well. Its pretty impressive but so bullshit when it happens to you :3

I always wondered and always forgot to ask about them, but from what nation come those turrets used as a secondary armament in images above for example?

And what Warships used them as part of their primary/secondary armament.

Yeah those are the generic turrets, so any nation that doesn't have a proper turret model gets them, to find them you gonna have to do some experimenting with the year and nation in costume battles

  3. As many, MANY have stated before, this isn't World of Warships. Large dreadnoughts and battleships take a very long time to initiate a turn, and depending on the speed it can be a very long turn. And no your ship isn't ignoring your order to turn when using the rudder or the waypoint, its telling you that the ship cannot perform the turn due to many factors.

  4. None of these seem necessary at all imo. All the info you will need in a battle is given to you in the UI.

There needs to be an easily accessible button to order a ship to evade torpedoes. I'd put it right next to the smokescreen button.

There is , you have the speed bar, direction bar and for ships you arent currently controlling theres a button that sets them to AI controlled and guess what, the AI will automatically dodge torpedoes.

Well, i would like to have them too but i think that there Are much more  important features to work at alpha 7.

(but of course it depends on devs  preference s)

I say its still very important considering, the french BBs were all about quad gun turrets.

I mean they're currently making WGs art dept. look like fools. For a dev team that probably consists of 4 tankmen and a dog, that is impressive. That's not even exaggerating, shell hits, bounces, ship detail, mag explosions, torpedo explosions, and water detail, all look better than what WG has. The only places i can think of where WG has done a better job visually is in camo patterns, and the flood/damaged engine effects. I'm not sure if WGs rendition of flood and engine damage are even realistic though, so that could be pointless. @Steeltrap not sure if you would know anything about that.

I think many people from WOWS are scarred mentally from that version of CVs. If it was implemented like RTW (but with a UI that isnt belligerent to the user) It would probably be fine. RTW is generally extremely unfriendly to the user, and i dont think many here have played it.

I honestly enjoyed their earlier version of CVs, required actual skill to play successfully

I think we can still give them generic hulls and what ifs regardless, makes me wonder if we had people just doodling designs or actuall tried to make various classes of ships (obviously never going anywhere).

I mean rule the waves has china now, and they can build similar-ish stuff to everyone else so it would be pretty cool too be honest. Plus i would like to see ping hai and ning hai represented in game at somepoint.

Oh for sure, I mainly meant historical hulls.

  8. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised to see the Chinese empire being a playable nation. Of course due to the collapse of the dynasty and the civil war we won't get many proper dreadnoughts and modern battleships but it's still very good to see.

Complete waste of dev time. Not worth it at all.

Maybe at a much later date.

Can see why, specially since aircraft are still a very much "we'll see" and without aircraft they would end up as BB hulls with less deck space for armament.

Id still love to see them in game as they were a very unique type of ship.

  10. If ever added how would hybrid ships work? From what I know theres very few ships of this type making them a very low priority, only ones I can recall are Mogami, Ise and Tone class. What does everyone else think, would you guys like to have access to hybrids. I personally would love to see them in the game but as I mentioned its a very low priority as not many were ever built.

  11. Title might not be too clear but, main question is how will nations that changed drastically through the time period covered work? Best examples being the Chinese empire and the Russian empire. China basically exploded in the early 1900s and the Russian empire well, we all know who they became after WW1. Theres also the German Reich as well, what do others think this would work I'd love to know.

Another area of unbalance: BCs vs DDs vs BBs. A lot us know that the game isn't balanced against torpedos. If you send a high speed BC armed with nothing but torps against a BB the BB stands no chance. If you try to do the same thing with a DD, you'd think a DD would do as well given its much smaller size; if a BB has so much trouble hitting a BC, you'd think a DD going a few kts slower would be just as hard or harder to hit...but nope. You'll find secondaries have a decent chance to hit DDs no mater what.

well yeah a Destroyer is much easier to sink with secondaries then a Battlecruiser, its not the amount of times the BB's secondaries miss is more the amount of times needed to hit a DD to sink it. Obviously the DD will die quicker then a BC.
