  1. Simple. Only player built trader ships or bought player ships have the ability to return to original exit point with nothing in hold for free. This would free up the frusttration of attacking a player trader and there is nothing on board, yet he is preserving his exceptional rating ship. This happens a lot. It makes me frustrated and we need to get rid of frustration.
  2. When capturing player trader , it is annoying to capture an exceptional made LGV yet not with the upgrades he had. So..it makes no point in me putting upgrades on a dura 1 ship ..let alone any temporary upgrades. All player ships should be captured with intact permanent upgrades.
  3. Yes. That would work. or at least we should be able to hire like 2 npc mercs or belle poules or something to escort us instead of cutters. I have an exceptional Indiaman and its not worth it as 1 consti can get me in battle and with the stupid 2 minute timer..all is lost. No Indiaman was ever unescorted back in the days. Please read these devs.
  4. I am now liking no teleporting as it was too easy to bring material to you capital with no risk . This has also made me build and buy exceptional trading ships to do the job.......or at least...can try. However. I have to now sail back empty. or teleport by capturing another trader. My quick suggestion is to have a way to send it back without having to sail the way. (gold cost) or (maybe goes to npc status). Also If would be great if we could hire ships with our traders besides basic cutters.
  5. Agree 100% 5 minute rule was great. a recent example of a complete waste. I am traveling from tumbado to La Habana in an Indiaman (pvp1). I am within sights of Habana (just before Muirel) and I get tagged by 1 of 4 pirate players waiting. They get me in battle along with 2 minor npc friendlies. 1 Spanish player noticed but couldn't help me in time within 2 minutes. I then have to force to fight to lose . I was carrying 8000 coal and 20 high grade notes. (don't ask me why I carried those). When I spawned there were at least 15 friendly players looking for the pirates but the pirates logged out or just waiting on battle over screen for a while. This is a complete gank. If it was 5 minutes...at least 1 or 2 of friendlies from Habana could have made it to my defence. Gunfire on the openwater is quite loud and this can be seen as a signal for any ship in harbor to investigate. But since the battle was closed at 2 minutes..I was ganked. I was bout to quit the game entirely.. Not because I lost my ship but because here I am within 5 miles from my capital with many players about yet they cannot help. I lost over 12 million gold. This is not fair. No timers or at least back to the 5 timer limit. I propose what is now but after 2 minutes..the circle gets larger hence any potential reinfocements come in farther.
  6. No more timers on battle entry. The OW is big in itself and now that traders must long haul their supplies , it seems wrong to have a battle timer that limits potential friendly reinforcement (that may be in a port nearby) to come out and help me against 4 enemies that have jumped my trader. The small circle is great meaning you must get in the small circle to participate up close, otherwise one must have to go to one of the entry circles. With no timers. The battle can be continuous or not . I speak from experience of being attacked by 4 pirates just outside my capital and managed to get me in 19 seconds. Plenty of friendly ships saw me but missed the 2 minute entry cut off. 5 minutes was long enough. there should be no timers because it just doesn't make sense based on the distance and time you regulate on the open water. No more Timers.
