  1. Great efforts were done by Brit/Dutch/USA coalition in Georgia & Santo Domingo, fully acknowledged. (mostly from the European players) 

    But no one can deny these 2 victories are mostly due to battle timer system. (zero screening & fewer defences)

    Great hopes for next modifications by devs that will exclude as much as possible these night flips that disguise battle results.

  2. NA is not a game yet...We are testing a project.

    As long as we understand that important detail, we can assume that our satisfaction (i mean, us, the testers) is not the goal of the dev team. Their goal is to reach an acceptable gameplay balance by progressively keeping or rejecting features in order to "finally" get the relevant marketing basis of an official NA game to be released. 

    Dev cannot take into account our wishes, they just utilize our comments, suggestions & reports. they own that project, we don't.

    However, We testers, paid for participating to that project, We gave creditability to it.

    So as a mark of gratefulness, could you please give us clear feedback about what main features have become final (there must be some) ?

    Today I'm still confused about what final NA game will look like:  

    - Port battles = finalized ?

    - Hostility system = not finalized

    - Pirate features = not finalized

    - Economy & trading = ?

    - Ship crafting system = ?

    - XP systems = ?

    - Diplomacy & alliance system = ?

    - Mapping & nations geography = ?

  3. Very good fight at ISLAMORADA port battle last night !

    Has anyone got a vid/screen of it ?

    Spanish captains are very grateful to their allies, a few French, Danes & Sweeds managed to join that PB despite of the damn LATE timing.

    Good victory for defenders and quite interesting & refreshing new battle system.

  4. Agreed, what your suggestion then Anolytic ?

    What about allowing to build your own fleet with 3 ships maxi (as it is now) but including traders with material loaded ?

    This fleet would have to sail, not allowed to be teleported with material (as it is now).

    The problem is not raiders but time consuming ! (peeps are discouraged with this huge amount of hours required)

    Just trying to find a way to reduce time for ship crafting. With more material for each travel it will definately help. It will be more risky but worth it.

  5. Allow fleets with traders with goods on board, that will increase capacities for each travel.

    Mrdoomed, this alternative would keep ships sailing, how can you ask no changes when you can see that players are leaving the game...

    The game needs dynamism, if you can craft ships faster then players will use it more ! then you will see more ships around, not only AI's !

  6. IN ORDER TO INCREASE PVP:

     

    - Limit or even cancel the ship teleports ("send to outpost") in order to have nations mostly focusing on neighbouring hostilities. It could give higher PvP dynamism (as well as increase realism).
    Today hostilities can be generated everywhere thx to the free ports ability, (which disolve PvP activity), while conquest logic should be rather step by step in nearby territories (a large fleet war expedition should cost time & high cost with risck of loosing the whole fleet in case of unsuccesful result far away from homeland).

     

    IN ORDER TO HANDLE LONG DISTANCE FLEET SAILING:

     

    - This above issue could be implemented by new feature enabling to send fleets physically sailling with time effect, these fleets would be ordered by player from one friendly port to another friendly port (with created outpost) without player control/involvement in that fleet (like AI are doing). Depending on distance & BR each fleet mission order would have its cost of gold & would entail the risck of being attacked during its trip. (that fleet could not be identified as being a player ordered one or an AI one).

     

    IN ORDER TO GET FASTER SHIP CRAFTING:

     

    - In same stream, could we test the possibility to build a fleet (still 2 maxi) but with traders with goods loaded, this fleet could be either sent by order (as above) or driven by player. This feature would allow to reduce ship crafting time when transfering ressources/materials in different places, but it would also increase the stress of loosing large quantity of goods (more realism) when the fleet itinary is unsafe (if the nasty RUBLI are around for example !!).

     

    IN ORDER TO GIVE REAL VALUE OF EACH SHIP AS WELL AS MORE RESPONSIBLE SAILING:

     

    - One durability of every ships must be tested (more realism), but upgrades system must be adequately modified, either by giving more options of extra features when crafting a ship or by accessing extra upgrades with a new system (neither by ressources nor by gold as it is now). One durability ship will limit number of ships being multiplied & will push players rather to capture ships instead of sinking it. It will also push players to sail & fight with more caution (more realism).

     

     

    IN ORDER TO SPEED UP NEWBY WEALTH & EXPERIENCE: 

    - To give a chance for new players to get gold & XP faster, every AI ship sunk or captured should give higher amount of gold than now, every Human ship sunk or captured should give higher amount of XP than now.

     

     

    IN ORDER TO EXTEND THE XP SYSTEM (TODAY=FULL XP FOR MOST VETERAN):

    - XP system could be implemented & tested with greater levels with some additional specific "skill XP" that may allow to get extra upgrades (as mentioned above), these specific skill XP could be spent by player whenever he wants as long as he got enough depending on the value of the extra upgrades. When a ship is captured its upgrades disappear. Not anymore permanent or regular upgrades as now, but all customized by player on a fresh ship (crafted or captured). That system might make pointless the "officer perk system" unless it would only focus on gameplay options such as "coward", "expert defence", "doctor" etc... while the extra upgrades would only apply on ship feature.

     

     

    IN ORDER TO GET MORE REALISTIC BATTLES:

    - Fully interested to test ammunition quantity/limitation that has an effect on the ship speed, as well as trader ship speed depending on its good quantity. (more realism)

    - Very much interested to test new crew kill system, presently the casualties are far too high, the feature before the last wipe were much more realistics, today no need to use grapes or even boarding as any light ships can decrease crew number (to nothing) extremely fast.

    - Also interested to cancel the recent circle system and come back to former system, ships nearby should be able to join battles anyhow. To test further issue & to be more realistic, any battle should be kept open the time it lasts untill it gets to maximum number of ships.

    - As for urgent Hotfix, the bug to enter Port battle must be corrected asap. It makes totaly unfair the current conquest battles.

     

     

    IN ORDER TO GIVE MORE FLEXIBILITY IN RECRUITING:

     

    - Interested to test a deeper crew system recruitment, player could pay different cost for recruiting either sailors or marines with an instant indication of the effect generated on the ship agility (high amount of marines = lower ship agility).

     

     

    IN ORDER TO GIVE MORE FLEXIBILITY TO PORT CONQUEST SYSTEM:

    - The PB being only available against regional capitals with the loss of entire region is too radical. Could we test possibility to generate hostilities upon a region but with the choice of the attacker to target 1 port of the region, (The defender is not aware of the chosen target) if it's capital the region falls, but if it's a regular port (not the capital) then the attacker who's won the port can get advantage of the bonus region as well as port production specificity but in that case the defender keeps the rest of the region.

    We bought NA in beta situation, we are therefore considered as testers.

    We are helping the devs to reach the best game compromize before official release.

    When the game will be "finished" we won't have to buy it.

    Every gold, ships, ressources etc... that you are stocking are not supposed to be part of the testing.

    Trust the devs as they are relying on your feedback, they're far from willing to screw their creation.

    Try to be acting more for general interest than personal glory...

A-  Please adjust the casualty stats (far too high) when firing at short distance (but also medium distance) to rear & front of ship with cannon balls (grape is much less efficient!!), the bigger the ship the higher the casualties. now a light ship can inflict terrible crew damage very fast. This stats is far away from realism, hope it can be rapidly adjusted. I never saw such a wrong stats since I started to play NA.

     

    B-  Port battle are becoming crucial, so the bugg not allowing player to enter port battle is a real pain as a few player less into battle can entail a defeat. This bugg is known, today it happened at Cartagena de Indias where two players could not get in with 1rst rate.

     

    Thank you for all the good testing & adjustment jobs, but these 2 issues should be fixed asap.

    La Havana newspaper has reported an important information that came from our European correspondent the honorable & professional Don Reuters (To be noticed that this message was delayed for weeks due to very bad weather in the Atlantic combined with new Pirates threats in West Indies zones), its contents has been analyzed by our council with great cares to be announced to our population as follow:


     


    Quoted : “...After very long negotiations between most of European Kingdoms & Republics, including the new United States of America, the West Indies territories & its commercial rules have been drastically modified.


    Spain has made strong economical pressure and has managed to change the regional balance in order to restore its control on most of the West Indies.


    Great Britain delegation, representing the main power capable to be compared to the Spanish Kingdom, despite its military power in the area and great conquest efforts, could not avoid the outcome of this treaty.


    As a result, may God be grateful with our beloved excellency El Rey de España, new large territories will be handed over to our colonial population, traders & administration in the whole West Indies by the different nations that were prospering up to now as allies or enemies.


    This treaty will take force in a few days or hours, it's a very good news for Spain, but somehow logical, that will bring new wealth and prosperity to our population.


    Viva El Rey ! ...”


     


    Note: The Defense council minister has instantly given orders to our victorious fleets to be dispatched in several zones. As well as our Diplomatic corps have been sent to our Coalition allies to organize the new territories control.

    Quien sea el jugador, enemigo o no, se le tiene que respetar tanto como esperemos que el nos respeta.

    Los novatos, enemigos o no, se merecen aun mas respeto (y ayuda) para que este juego pueda cojer fuerza.

    Every single diplomatic talks (including the talks with you) have always been reported faithfully, ask Spanish council for confirmation.

     

    Now, please let us know which free port you prefer to deliver these 25 Santisimas, (we leave you 2 weeks to craft/buy these ships)

    From the moment Spain diplomacy tried to start talks with Dutch there have been many circumstances that made it unfruitful:

    - Misleading by PellasGoss

    - New team of Dutch diplomats that were dismissed few days after

    - A final official team of Dutch diplomats that took time to listen to its council policy direction.

     

    During all these weeks, Spain wanted to stop that meaningless war and prepare the wipe by offering frienship to the Dutch as we will become neighbours, no matter what can spit PellasGoss, we always sticked to this simple target without any perfidy or lies. A Dutch neutrality was an option, considering Dutch nation had for long time this role of neutral power in NA, but the choice was tricky first considering current alliances and second due to the political unstability inter-clan Dutch nation with an obvious lack of consertation.

     

    When we had our meeting, first time we met you, you came with that proposal to preserve basic ports where Dutch could store fleets untill the wipe. By that precise time Fort Zootman was already taken and the flag for Fort Oranje was already sailing...

    Had we have any earlier proposal from Dutch diplomacy, the coalition would have taken it into consideration and this gesture had been agreed without any doubts. Now our "cease-fire" allow you not only to preserve these ports but many more.

     

    To PellasGoss:

    Please do not give to CeltiberoFrog so much power, I try for many month to speak on behalf of Spanish nation, it is not an easy task believe it or not as many clans have different views. So if you need to blame me be sure that there is no effect but blaming the whole Spanish nation. I'm not Spanish but they trust me, so please forget me and carry on spiting on the Spanish nation. You will not get what you expect but only disrespect from all Spanish players.

  14. Few words to clarify :

     

    -   "further Negociations" was not the proper word in our sentence, it was initialy written "further notices"...apology, as there have not been any real negociation before (only talks).

    -   This campaign should have been stopped days ago, totally agreed by the majority of us, but few individues & circumstances made it go further to become clearly meaningless.

    -   The alliance is very grateful to the Danes that showed examplary solidarity in that conflict.

    -   «No offense but dont you think that you are trolling yourselves with those silly posts...???», this question is returned to the questioner, hoping for less future self-obsessed & childish post.

    -   The whole NA community can trust that Spanish players are respecting every "enemy" players and will always prevail fairplay in wars as well as strong solidarity with its allies.

    La Havana Newspaper reported with great difficulty the recent events occured in the Coalition war. Apologies were anticipated for possible inacurrate information.


     


    It was said that the Dutch nation faces a severe disorganization apparently due to a lack of support from its ally Great Britain. It was also mentioned that a dutch secessionist admiral, a so called « Peel-of-goat », was creating intense patriotism emotion among the Dutch colonial population. Spanish intelligence services admited their complete confusion regarding the short term political perspective of the Dutch nation.


     


    In our Allies side, our correspondant reported large naval operations in Northen Antilles areas apparently caused by the endless war between Sweeds & Pirates.


    Our council foreign minister made some bitter comments about the Sweeds, which are part of our coalition, being obsessed by Pirates and were disregarding the war effort requested by the side of Danes & French in South-East front. Not to mention the negative effect on the Spanish fleet commander's mind that always maintain good relationship with Pirate leaders.


     


    Last but not least, great celebrations have been hold in La Havana to support the expeditionary Spanish fleet that is winning important battles with high spirit & honour in the so called « Baranquilla bastion » for more than a week. A large majority of the civilians are now unified to support our brave sailors while donations are flowing in to the council safe.

    Regarding your 2 posts:

    You appear to be a very active player as well as a respected fleet commander, this is quite praiseworthy. However, you look to be very anxious about unmasking your « enemies » within your own faction community.

    Could not you talk and solve this issue internaly instead of showing it to the whole game community ?

    Division within a group should be avoided at any cost unless it is an ultimate choice with hopes for rebuilding a new group.

     

    Regarding your comment about diplomacy:

    « ... change attitude because the reset is coming and we dont forget,iiiiiiiiiii dont forget so you better hurry and come and talk to us with a different attitude and not with tricky ways in order to create internal conflicts...ok mr celtiberofrog? ... »

     

    tricky ways is not relevant at all, what could a foreigner diplomat do when he talks to a player (PellasGoss) that confirms he's the only one to talk with in the name of his faction when diplomatic relations are supposed to be initiated ? That fellow double checks the situation and realizes that the statement is not reflecting the reality, so he instantly stops the supposingly official talk as some Dutch diplomats are getting in touch in the meantime.

     

    Nothing else but a normal way to handle diplomatic matters within transparent and official methods.

    Newspaper reported this morning about worrying incident that occured during the night.


    A window glass of our diplomat house got smashed, a stone wrapped with a paper was found on the livingroom flour. The paper contained an anonymous message with the following words:


     


    « ...Why our brave officers & sailors should carry on giving their lives in that remote war, as well as so many ships & ressources lost, while the coalition allies are not showing any determination !? We are civilians loyal to the Spanish Crown, but we warn you that this war effort will not be further tolerated unless clear signs of solidarity should be seen from our allies. Also, be aware that a smashed window is nothing compared to a burnt out house... »


     


    Our diplomat did not want to make any comment about this occurrence but his neighbours told that he went out early this morning to the direction of the Council house.

  18. I do understand this type of feeling and wished since I started NA to participate in far better organized team play with constructive strategy. 

    But I always remind me :

     

    - that a large community multiplayer game that requires extreme organization & communication within a strategic scenary is very hard to reach or almost impossible. 

    - that the necessary involvement required for that game does not fit with most player availability (real life). 

    - that most players in that game love to win and need fast results instead of long term global results, while others just love economy build only.

     

    and finally, that what really matters at the end is to have fun with passionated good friends.

     

    We are a bunch of nuts who love that game, we veterans are becoming the heart of it, so let good mood & gentlemanship prevail.

     

    I'm sure when Game geopolitic & Diplomacy will be polished with further rules NA will become really top.
