  1. One solution to keep a ONE GLOBAL SERVER (which should reduce night or work flips effects):

     

    1. Real time player number in the server is the main monitored value  

    2. The above "real time player number" value generates a percentage (%) ratio applied automaticaly on PB's.

    3. The PB number of ships/players depends on that (%) 

     

    The effect is:

    a] PB occuring during low population server will be faught by a limited number of ships/players. (applied % would proportionaly generate 5V5, or 8V8 etc...)

    b] PB occuring during high population server will be faught by a maximum number of ships/players (25V25)

     

    So today's night/work flips would require a much lower effort and be fairer for defenders.

    This mechanic can work indefinately, in a low population server or tomorow in a large population server, and it drastically reduces prime time difference effects. 

     That mechanic would tend towards fairness.

    Alliance swaps does not make any sense as any alliance including USA will have "advantage" thx to time zone coverage.

    This is a great step toward gentlemenship !! why not having offered this option long time ago ?

    Do we have a new PRIME TIME FOR PVP1 ?

    I know it's an effort for your community and i'm very gratefull. I think most of current player base might accept this good compromise.

    Shall we start advertise about it on the forum and among all factions & clans ?

     

    There could be 2 other solutions one easy and one harder to get:

    n°1 - (easy) You convince a group of 10/20 USA players to join Spain (see my today's post on Good fight, video etc...)

    n°2 - (harder) Devs find a way to adapt PB entrance proportional to Server real time number of players, for example, server number is 180 players then PB can allow a maximum of 8V8 players (numbers must be smartly chosen), server number reach its maximum (dunno today could be 350 players) then PB can allow full 25V25. In that way nightflips would become balanced very likely.

    In Spanish faction it's difficult for english speaking players not to feel isolated when they try to participate to global actions, it's true, same it would be for no-english speaking Spanish players trying to participate into British (or any other) faction. We can't help it.

    Now, for the sake of NA PVP1 project, in order to reach equity, and since USA & Spain are neighbours, IF you could convince a group of players to join Spain, they might be able to create a strong enough group that would vacuum other english speaking players with them. This group could designate few players that would keep in touch with the other main Spanish clans, in order to be always informed about general focus.

    Myself and other Spanish (who are easy talking english) would be ready to ensure this permanent contact. The main VLTRA clan will help this new group to climb XP as fast as possible. 

    IF this could work, night flips effects could be much lower since it could be faught back.  

    Has USA player base got the capacity to do that ?

  5. Regarding Gasparilla,

    in order to decrease both sides unfairness, in case there will be more nightflips, you could have a group of USA players to join Spain.

    Then you'll have funnier PB by fighting each other and give "some chance" for Spain to preserve its regions.

    Spain would really welcome a USA player base, anytime gents.

    Victory for USA... PB was most probably undefended

    I guess unfair results for both sides, no battle for attackers & incapacity to show defenders with a loss of a whole region...

    It looks like unfairness is much larger for defenders, but nevermind.

    If we imagine a server with more (or many more) players, will it be sustainable to remain with this PB system ?

    I saw some proposal from a Faction to agree for "fresh players only" port battle entrance, which is a good intention surely. It certainly shows that PB should be accessible for more peeps.

    So I'm wondering about the current PB system being too selective, today it's not a real problem for most Factions since there is a lack of players, but it might become a bigger issue when player number will (or would) increase.

    What kind of solution could be applied there ?

    - Come back to Flag system with faster hostility and/or shorter cooldown ?

    - Allow port attacks to other ports than regional ones ? possibly with lower BR ? and lower victory/defeat effect ?

    - Offer other types of hostilities, like raids ? which has already been mentioned.

     

    Final NA configuration looks extremely tricky, NA mechanics tend to be as universal as possible but in the other hand chosen systems can become uneffective depending on the number of players... Typically like the nightflip issue.

    Did you read Ink's statement ? if yes, did you understand it ? I'm doubtful...

    In case the above is going to be the next upgrade to be tested, you should then understand what means a server "with its own prime timer" associated to playerbase time zone.
