  1. Hi,

By carrying on this senseless war with Spain we are only making the Pirates stronger.

Spanish players are clearly leaving their nation to join the Pirates, so you are actually creating a more powerful and dangerous faction.

There is no point kicking a (nearly) dead dog, when you have a Wolf biting your ass.

Long live the rule of Law be it in Spain, Britain etc, etc

    and death to the Pirates

Another point. But who cares that danish crown is allied with thiefs just to roll up the West indies. Allied with Pirates... ????
  2. Yessssssss and we felt defraut froh the spaniards attacking us while dringend diplomacy. This is the point. This leads to nothing.

Personally I believe there is no was but a diplomacy mechanic in the game

Maybe with the possibility of making diplomacy with a national vote or something. But up to this point we "tested" that complete free diplomacy will just lead to rumour not in the nation roleplay was but to the community of all players.

  3. You Know what? Maybe it was harsh but they declaired a harsh war while we were making some diplomacy. Maybe it was harsh but without any possibility of calm down - Not as nations but as one testing community it will not disapear. Or do you really believe it is all about national gaming roleplay or somewhat in here anymore? Guess not.

  4. Actually, Potemkin, this is the point. We don's want to. We wanted to end this senceless  war but than again some british-playing guy is writing about that and instead of listening and thinking about what the other side maybe would feel and think about it you're just insulting the whole thing I tried to bring to you as "bullshit". Very good, Sir, Bravo ...

It seams like you are forgetting that behind every PC-Screen on the british side there is also just a player who wants to enyoj this game with all of you. We offer hands and got a slap for nothing than reacting to your decisions. Maybe harsh, maybe with full force but hey at the moment we started it we thought about not having any choice. We want to find solutions as you do but we seam to be the only ones talking about mistakes on both sides while you are complaining like we are the devil in person.

This leads to nothing. But okay, if you decide to fight on, okay it will be a pleasure to have some fun with you guys. But in this case stop complaining about we treat you like we are at war with you guys. If not, come to the table, stop this war, talk with us to regain your power and good luck next time. And this is noch ironically. I mean it.

  5. Oh dear ...

you started - no you started - no it was you - mom, the nation is not telling the truth ... what the heck?

This war started like all other ones. Both sides thought they were right and this is okay, because this is what this game about is. But if we want a full working gamer-community-diplomacy we have to handle this like gamer not like childs. The truth is, that the spaniards decided to declare war for a regain campaign against us. The Truth is that we decided to "play" the angry nation and decided to punish you. It is true that we wiped you out of Mexico but it is also true that we gave you the chance for some diplomacy after that so we can regain a situation every one would be fine with. But your hardliners are crying for a war until the last breath and so we thougt ... okay ... the game is the game and we do not need a western front. So we have no choice but to continue.

So your anger was growing, you were copmming to the point you were before with your argumentation in the war against the U.S... it's not about game-politics in here it is more alike blaming other players that they've done something to you what you would have done with us if you would have been in our situation. Namely going for the win.

But okay, you see this in another point of view - fine. As we do and you know why? Because humans ...

So ... what can we do now ...

    1st possibility

We can play the game in the way it should be played (just my opinion) if we really want a working diplomacy. Come to the round table with the Royal Navy, let's talk and end this war. for some weeks at last so you can regain you comfort-zone and we all go back to enjoy this masterpiece of game together. And after severall weeks we can replay this war and have fun again.

    2nd possibility

We give a s**t about the possibility of a working gamer-community, we do not speak with each other, every one is p*ssed off about the other side. Than we start to get angry, taking this to real life personal and at the end we have a community not angry in the roleplay-nation but the "people" playing them. But in this setting the dev's will be involved to this situation, because there would not be any other choice (At least I think some kind of diplomacy-mechanics will do the thing and prevent us from getting to personal at all. Maybe with some kind of diplomacy-election for all players, but this is another point).

So, as you can read in several postings in this thread, we are offering a hand for diplomacy, would you please stop ignoring it? Let's solve the problem in that way every one will enjoy this game in the end.

P.S. hope the grammar is not too bad guys. If you find some mistakes keep it. It's a gift. ;)
