Yes, but be careful about inviting alts. Everyone will finish tutorial on alts for rewards :)

Did it first with my Alt, tomorrow is the day for the Main.;)

Did it in 1hour with chaining/running/shooting /repairing until the first sunk and the second one gets demasted and graped to 80crew and borded.

But like many said, for a new Player it will be hard to get throug the last 2 exams.

To add to this, I believe that the limitation on cancellation of missions will drive away people from the PVE server aswell simply because PVE players don't like to wait to get the action they want. If they at the end of the day have used their cancellations and now only have missions on the other side of Jamaica they will not do the 30 minute sail to get there, but simply go play something else. I also believe that this will make them less likely to come back a second time to play, to get addicted and then tell their friends to buy the game and more likely to leave the bad reviews complaining about the game being to grindy or hardcore that some people on this forum hate.

They coud go to Belize there will no missions spawn on the other side.

Cancellation limit is a step forward (the proper step would be complete removal of missions), limits on cancellations is a good compromise.

Admiralty sends you to the mission you honestly cannot argue with the mission location. Historically if you declined orders you would be demoted or fired.

I like this i deletet my Char befor the redem-wipe. I have done around 10-15 missions the rest is OW-Npc's and PvP now im Rank Demon/Flag Captain. I play sometimes only 2h a Day or every second Day, on WE there is more time for me so i can play 5/6+hours. I got no problem to play the way without Missions. I woud like too see missions only avaible until you reached Master and Commander. But with the new Tutorial everybody will reach M&C Rank as far i know.

@admin Will the  Hercules Frigate be Redemable every day like Yacht?

    Get a boat?

What an insult. I'm level 50. You cannot put an admiral in a boat.

But I'm also a single player mostly, even though I'm founder of  a clan for casual players.

I'm missing the days where easy access to stuff meant action every night. Now things are too grindy and takes too much effort.

But I guess I have stated this 100 times or so. To no avail.

I play alone too, but i dont need all at once. Most time i Sail a shop snow, the current one is a Bermuda/Crewspace with medium cannons only the chasers are longs. Next thing i got only a few shipknoledge stuff i think the most important one that i owne is the complete fencing master or how it is called. I play sometimes only a few hours a day. If i want to do PvP then i take my snow jump out of a freeport and sail around if im lucky i find a target if not then i dont care much and logout in the openworld and when i come back i will sail  the way i have chosen or sail back to the free harbor. If i buy me a new ship u will see me not much in front of the capital. The only thing that is expansiv for me are the repairs. If i need money ill attack ow ships. Cause they give sometimes better loot.

If it is fun for u to sail firstrates then i only can say join a Clan help them to build ships. Give newcomers some training in fleetmission or what ever u want. Edit: And Clans will promote you a ship if u need it in most of the cases. Edit end.

You got all time of the world if u play alone .

  5. Like i suggested in a Thread, give player a reward for lost Fights, soo they can get something for there Ship losses. But hey im a "Penner".

The Voting shows nothing Cause Players got no interest in Voting or to Discuss why?  Only over 100+ klicks and only 30 Votes.

For a Group (Clan) it is not so important, if they lose sometimes Ships. But for Casual Players it is more Important to get something even if they lose the Ships. In WoT you get something for a lost Battle and a lost Tank, and there must nobody replace something  or must buy ressources to get his Tank back.

I met a Player 2 times in OW First thing he lost was a T-Brig, then he comes up with let me get a Snow so we can get a even fight, he lost his 2nd Ship in Patrol-Zone, and now a few days later i met him again and he lost his Constitution. That gives me a bad taste cause he was not in a Clan but he was Jefe de Escuadra so Max Rank. Next time i will not engage him when i attacked him again. Players like him looks like they have fun with PvP even if they lose he gave his best but will get no reward thats a shame. The only thing he get something out of is for the Snow vs Snow Battle cause it was in PZ if had the Patrol-Mission running.

  7. If i need 1h+ to take down a Aga or a other Ship in my Snow then it takes so long. Players told me for them that it was the most boring battle they had. My solution for that case is they coud surrender. But if someone does not show a sign to do some damage only sail shooting even he coud escape thats real waisting of time.

In World of Tanks for example, if/when I lose my panzer I am back in the fight 5 mins later at only the cost of some gold - the key thing I need to play the game i.e the panzer isn't lost permanently along with whatever mods/upgrades I had on it.

In this game, if I lose (for example) my Victory, I have lost a multi million dollar ship and probably millions of dollars worth of upgrades. If I am sailing a fleet of Indiamen loaded to the gunwales with trade goods and I am attacked and lose then I lose both the ship(s) and the trade goods. Now, on one level, this if fair enough - I made the decision to sail and and reap the costs or benefits accordingly. I have been playing for a while and have the resources and clan support (love you CKA) to replace those losses with little pain.

Newer players, particularly newbies and those who haven't yet managed or want to join a clan don't always have access to that level of support. If they lose ships then unlike WOT they are gone for good and its multiple hours of trading or mission grinding to get back to where they were originally.

That I think is the key problem. If I was a newbie and kept getting ganked (yes I know its part of the game and a legitimate tactic) then I am not sure I could be bothered to keep grinding trade or combat missions only to get back to where I was prior to ship loss. Feedback I get from players I chat to in game constantly refers to this issue. Its such a loss of time/effort and for casual players its quite disheartening. There are plenty of games out there and I feel that making it hard for newbies to get established isn't wise.

I'd like to see the safe zones taken back to what they were and bring back the "heavy" support for players attacked in those areas. I'd also like to see the reinforcements arrive automatically and not expect a player to have to remember to press the call for reinforcements key. By doing this, players will feel more confident in going about their business and getting hooked by the game and venturing out into the wider world. I feel this would have the advantage of encouraging newer players to sail, fight and trade knowing that there is a far more likely chance of getting to their destination and getting some value from their time investment.

I'd also like to see the PVE missions in safe zones close. I have rescued/been rescued a number of times when enemy players have dropped into the battles after the AI is mostly sunk and our ships are battered and in need of repairs.

I think the main thing is to make the game more user friendly for the casual player so as to encourage them to come back and grow the population. The more players we have, in time, the more PVP there will be for those focused on that.

    Sail safe all!

Thats why i say give players a reward even if they lose a Ship but i get blamed for that in Global-Chat and get called a "Penner" in Russian hidding behind a language that around 50% dont understand.

Give Players something if they loose, if they loose not to much then hey will hopefully come more out.

Remember, when you build up a fish tank, you first set it up correctly, let it run for a month without fishes and then set them in in a working environment. Same for players in a MMO.

First fix all problems we have, then ask for players to join.

I got a Seawater-Tank at home. Sure the problems must be fixed. But if a patch change the basics we need to see the game like the old basics never exists. Not for ship changes they must be seen seperated.

How was it with crew-costs many complained about but now nobody cares.

If you look at just about every MMO out there they have safe zones that is pretty much PvE only with only selective zones for PvP.  That is why they get numbers and they don't force players into the PvP zones.  Than again those aren't open world sandbox's either.  Even the open world sandbox's I have played had safe zones, newbie, capital like areas to them too.  People forget that the majority of our players lets say 90% of them are casual players, while we have the hard core PvP/RvR guys take up 9% and than you have the 1% Elitist that live by the sword and do nothing but OW PvP.  We need to be looking at how to keep those 90% happy and in game not the 1% or even the 9%.....a big question that still has not been addressed by the devs is, if 50% of your sales is from the NA than why isn't 50% of your player base from NA?  I could answer this very clearly and it's not a nice answer, but it is kinda the same problem with the casual players, we need more things to keep them in game and it's content and a safe zone for those that don't want PvP 100% of the time.

I dont like it at all yes.

But we shoud look how we get more players to the game. And dont shoud scare them away. If more players gets to the game and stay, then the numbers of players will over time rise up in the OW. Some will start to go Exploring and try to hunt in the OW. So but in the moment many players are scared of losing there ships the have fought or collectet the Ressources to get those Ships. Cause no rewards for them.

Where many of the Elite-players startet with 5 dura ships and learnd how to sail and act in PvP, new players lose there Ships instant now. I think many forget about this. The time to build a ship is like in the old days. And now you need Repairs and Rum too.

So to all others stop complaining.

  11. The game needs some things to make it attractive for Casual Players. If it is a safe zone or Content with Content  i mean more variability how the missions are.

Im not a fan of the safezones but many do like them. So it is for casual players who got a few hours a day. But i thinl they go a bit to far away out from the coast.

  12. So for the moment it is if u get pulled in a PvP-Battle if u want or not and lose u only get XP for the Battle even if it was going on for over one hour.

The Devs have brought up the Patrol-Missions that gives us the option even if we lose to get a bit out of a Battle. Why shoud we not get rewards at all.

So my Suggestion is to give Rewards even if u lose in OW-PvP.

-First thing is if u coud escape out of a Battle you will only get some XP and Gold.

-If you stay and give your best until your ship sinks you wil get at least XP, Gold and PvP-Marks for done Damage.

Lets say u were on a Brig and do looking for some NPC-Traders . Now 2 nice players comes around a island on there Heavy Rattlesnakes and attacks you. You give youre best and have done around 1000 points damage but get no extra reward cause u sunk it is annoying thing. Same Situation you do the same things and get some gold plus a PvP Mark for the overall done damage like if u get an Assist if you where on the wining side.

It is frustrating even a guy in a Ganksquad will reseve something for his done Damage(XP+Gold+PvP-Marks), but for a guy that gets ganked and give his best he will reseve nothing only XP and lost his Ship.

    1000 overall Damage - 1PvP mark

    3000 overall Damage - 2PvP marks

    9000 overall Damage - 4PvP marks

The numbers for the Damage are fantasy numbers are only for showing what i mean.

And Marksfarming will be not more like now, cause of the Combat-News.

Although this may sound a good idea, it is so open to abuse that would be difficult to trace as people would just set up to do as much damage to each other without sinking then head back to port repair and start over again to farm PvP marks. There would be no clerk announcements as no one sank so it would be difficult to prove that is what was going on. This was why the original xp and gold for damage model was changed.

If you get the reward only if u sink it will be not so attractive to farm the marks with this. So lets explain it more.

2 guys attack me in the OW i got no real chance cause of my lag of skill. I give my best to deal as much damage i can. But they sink me. Now i get a few xp for that. With my idea it woud give my best and will get a minimum of 1PvP mark and a bit of gold. So when they sink my ship it will shown in the Combat News.

If i coud escape i can hold my ship and get a few xp a bit gold for the damage but no PvP-Marks.

I hope now it is more cleare what i mean. Sry im not a nativ english speaker.

    Sers Leute,
