EU - 1 is having severe issues. Cant join into battles, cant dock. I tried to join into a battle to help a clan mate and now I'm stuck at connecting to login queue.

It doesn't necessarily have to do with being able to pay or not, it is a matter of opinion and principles, your point is moot.
I agreed on paying sum X to get my hands on this title.
If they would (I know they won't) later, out of the blue, demand monthly payment, that would be ridiculous - like the original post.
If you want to throw your money at them, I think they mentioned that donations will be a possibility sooner or later.

They could add a subscription later, voluntarily, like star citizen. nothing in the star citizen subscription gives you an advantage, nor is it mandatory, it gives you some silly display piece and lets you contribute for their 10 for the chairman/developer/whatever series. Whereas in NA they could let you dye your sails or something while adding the money to run servers/development. Quite frankly your point is moot, they can easily add an option without it being mandatory.

A capture circle added a round the middle tower in Port Battles. It would become activated once all towers were down. Shooting attackers in the capture circle or having a defender in it would slow the capture (equal or more defenders stop it/reverse it.) this would force people to fight if they actually intended to defend a port instead of showing up in high BR ships then running to the 4 corners and making lunch.

AUSEZ is a growing clan, that usually has a 24 hour presence in the double digits thanks to our make up of NA/EU/Aussie players. You can private whisper Pam or Wolfstar in game. Really helpful and you will get as much out of the clan as you put into it.

My new grafik adapter (gtx980 ti) melted a month before at playing Naval Action
. I sended it back to the shop which sold it to me and tomorrow i will receive a new one. Hopefully it will not happen again (with my old grafik adapter i have around 40 frames now, the gtx980ti was over 100 all the time)That sounds like a defective card. My r9 295x2 is sitting at 51 right now, but in the summer when inside the apartment is around 26 celcius the card will get in the 70s range.

No. The number of players is already low at it is, a monthly subscription would make the game empty.
And giving advantages to people paying for a subscription would make it unfair.
I'm sure you can buy more copies of the same so you can have more characters, or wait for devs to release premium ships if you really want to give devs some money. You can even give free copies to your friends !
Please consider that a lot of people DONT have a lot of money to spend into games, nor do they want people with money privilegied.
I try not to judge, but if people can't afford .33 cents a day they're probably better off not spending $40 on a game to start with.

She was launched in 1797 and prior to going into dry dock last year was the only US ship still in active service to have sank an enemy vessel. Also believe she was the oldest active navy ship still sailing in the world. Doesn't look all that "weathered" to me

A tax on cargo isn't going to make it less lucrative. a tax on cargo is going to be reflected in the buy price, you don't even have to have a basic understanding of economics to understand that. Imo the system is fine. you always run the risk of having people undercutting you while you're in bed and being out the deposit to place your contract and not making anything. You also run the risk of being stuck in this:

pretty sure upgrade slots are a pretty good incentive to go with player made over npc made.

I'm kind of holding off playing waiting for the nation change ability....don't want to play incase I have to delete to change nations.....
Some update would be good as it was promised for this week.....
why hold off with the future changes? play gain exp, when patch hits transfer to new nation find decent guild who will help you cap whatever level ship you need and carry on...

If you're an American or Euro don't be afraid to join, we've got both roaming about and it'd be nice if we can get enough so we can be doing PB's during US, EU, and Oz prime times xD.

Can I just confirm im reading this right? I am A pirate, and want to change to the Dutch. I delete my char (after the update of course) and make a new 'Dutch' character, I will loose all my gold/ships but start a new with my XP still intact? If so that is wonderful news indeed! I was very near to re-rolling and being that im at rank 'Raider' I was felling a little hard done by! So really fantastic news if this is the case
-.- went british to play with some longer term friends, was halfway to raider on saturday when I did, then they announced this, lmao. Oh well I'm having a blast being able to explore more ports and coast line.

I was in the battle, there was no organization or really any motivation present. Clan members I was with were just outside laughing about other things since no screen was created. I was pretty surprised by the lack of any effort.
I was to, I was in one of the outside battles trying to stop the brits from getting in. It turned into 0 brits inside the PB, when I went into a 12 v 1 that turned into a 20ish v 12 to by the time i got out, to 25 brits inside the port battle and 3 different other fights outside all involving 10+ brits. They fielded a large amount of players very quickly when we lost at Puerto Escondido. Simple fact is you can spin it as romantically or uncaring as you want but the pirates lost a lot of ships and 600k+ gold on flags for ports they didn't take. That's a loss, no matter how you try to spin it.

That's not how I remember saint nicholas' port battle at all, with it being so close to the main pirate base of la tortue. Simple fact is the brit's did an amazing job of rallying her men to the call to arms.

3. not sure of the developer answer but you can always sail it to your outpost with all cargo then before logging teleport to the capitol outpost if you want.

they do not have the means to do nations changes yet so i'm betting the answer will be no. but think positive you have lots of personal game time experience
I'll live if they dont, would be stoked if they do, already halfway to rank 3 again but it'd be quite nice to be back in my cerberus as enjoyable as the snow is lol.

If we changed nations prior to the patch and took the full exp loss will there be any chance of having it reinstated? Was able to recruit 3 friends to play naval action and one refused to go pirate so we changed to british, in doing so I lost all exp and was halfway through plunderer to rank 5. Would be amazing to get the experience back, I can suffer the loss of the redeemables as sad as it is.
