Yea, I'm not sure where he got the idea that there was some kind of official arrangement between the Pirates and British, we've been attacking each other every day.
Once again nowhere did I mention a formal agreement, I understand that as a pirate a good education is hard to come by. Quite frankly in this game there is no such thing as a formal agreement and I trust no one outside of my clan as far as I can throw their ship and fully expect each and everyone to do what is best for their interests.

You just have to congratulate the Danes. We Swedes have tried our best. I acknowledge without envy that they had the better organization and planning. The number of good accounts clearly shows what we have to Sweden and other nations work. I hope that the Swedish nation has continued to exist. I and many remain natural and help wherever they can. I would like to say again here, too, that the Danes are very fair and pleasant opponents in the battles and were. They greet each other before and after the battle and the enemy Zolt respectful. Therein I hope that many opposing players have the foresight not to hew newcomers alike from the game. This one will be attacked before Gustavia, if you are traveling with good ships, is logical. But please pay attention to the newcomers.
Finally, I must just say that was of you Danes just good and I hope that you can beat more beautiful battles. It is and remains a game. A nice rest weekend
Sweden could always ask to hire some allied nations flag captains to man third rates to help them ;p

4. Linear leveling (big problem!).
Shitload of my teammates are sick of leveling. These people will leave game shortly, if u dont change. We can only level by same type missions. U should make shitload type of missions (varietas delectat). like delivery missions (take a family, chestbox, etc... from x to y), spying missions (like u seems as an enemy nation captain till u go in thier capital/regional capital city, after u in the city u get back ur real nationality, and u have to escape out), bounty missions against real players, pvp missions (devs should use players imaginaton). I think i read about group missions from developers aswell. Where is it? I still dunno if they prefer solo only playstyle against solo and party playstyle?
Dude I haven't done missions since before post captain. My clan and I farm fleets of 3rd rates. EXP wise it might be a little faster to knock out missions with 2 guys, but fun wise fleet fights are always different and i don't mind raking 1200 exp for 30-40 minutes of fun. I do agree we need more mission diversity. Would be nice for group missions to have you fighting small fleets from level one, maybe trader escort missions, bounties, even chains where you get a quest ship report letter sending you in search of x npc. However this was mainly to address your mistaken idea that there was only one way to level when you can level by hunting npcs, and doing pvp.

Are you new to game development? It's a small dev team, and if one is out with the flu and they ran into unexpected bugs which is likely it could delay the patch.

There is no pact between the Pirate Nation and the Brits. As far as I am aware a single guild has relations with them and not even everyone within that guild. Also you will find that the Pirate Coalition which is fighting against the Brits is also responsible for organising and capturing the vast majority of the American ports in the Bahamas.
So...like I said working with the brits, I didn't say a formal pact, lol, but...Good job at Saint Nic.

Pirates seem divided to me if you have pirate clans working with the Brits to fight the US and then a pirate coalition to fight the brits, but meh pirates. Kind of highlights why pirates need some changes to how they work as a faction.

I like the previously-mentioned idea of jury rigging a mast,*if* this change absolutely has to be implemented at all.
It just makes no sense that you would be able to restore a mast to manufacturer specifications when you are out in the middle of the ocean.
the belle poule has like...4 masts in its hold lol.

I heard from an unreliable source I made up, who will be referred to as Anon, that the British and the Pirates are most certainly in cahoots! According to Anon, The British Diplomat and The Pirate Diplomat met under cover of darkness in a poorly-lit cabin in the woods. Hushed conversation was heard, followed by gentle whispers, a chaste kiss, and promises of a future rendezvous. Well I'm blowing the lid off of this whole sordid affair! The people have a right to know!

And I think the US forgot to inform the Pirates their advance was halted.

While I agree bashing someone based on their sex should be punishable, I personally don't think how a troll saying you aren't one qualifies as that, that is what the ignore function is for.

Sorry to say but your victories are won at times where most of the Spanish faction is also offline cause you know... time differences and stuff. XD. Also the Spanish faction is non-existant during the weekends.
Its strange how the timezone isn't affecting the EU players in other factions. I think the Spanish leaders need to hold an after action report on what exactly was the strategy and where it went wrong and make a come back, which is more then possible, especially after the reset in the future.

I agree with those who say that leaks should occur from bow and stern damage. It's always seemed strange they do not cause leaks, I always just thought it was a broken part of the damage model that was intended to be fixed later.
Rather than increase broadside armor (I think it's perfect where it is) why not just introduce leaking for bow and stern shots? Sees like the much simpler solution.

They have said there won't be an xp wipe. Nothing else is guaranteed.
and like I said, they haven't mentioned an exp wipe, they said a port reset, so I have no idea why exp wipe was even brought up.

Annoys the hell out of me that you go from 350 - 650 crew and pretty much completely bypass the connie.

I hope one day they will add the possibility to change your nationality, for example
- that nations have roughly the same number of players (you cant choose a nation who have more player than an other)- pirates can join a nation- maybe change nation for gold ? to pay admiralty ? more expensives for pirates ?You do realize you can delete your character and keep your level now to switch nations? They tied it all to steam for that reason a few days ago..
New account XP system
Old system had a lot of problems and confusion. It did not give enough flexibility and it created a huge burden of work for the dev team with the tornado of tickets.
New system is elegant and solves the majority of player problems and questions letting us focus on development more.
Rules of the system
- Rank, Craft level and Labor hours are synchronized on steam account (learnt blueprints are not)
- Steam account sync is independent of the player name
- You can have different nations on different servers
- You can have different names on different servers
- In summary you can delete a player and create another one with another name keeping XP

What if I tell you, that the decission of going to Panama, was not only to defend that part of the map from the dutch, but as a "Fuck off" to the rest of the Spanish Faction...
We were tired of being blamed for everything that happened to the Spanish Faction. Literally everything.
Ports flipped at night? Where's the RAE to defend those ports at 3 AM
Prices rocketing to the skies? Just RAE players destroying the economy
3 random british players attacking spaniards right next to batabano? Hur dur RAE!!! Your ally is attacking us, you suck!!
So, AFAIK, RAE leaders were the ones who decided to go south, since we were not being appreciated by the rest of the faction, with some hate levels >9000. You dont want us there? Fine, now DEAL WITH IT.
Now that there's no more CUBA...guess who are they blaming all over again....
You talk and talk and get cocky...but if you have no idea about the whole situation, the best thing you can do is to STFU about it.
Well you guys managed to do a lot with the 6 ports ya got down there, that's for sure. Really hope after the port reset Spain starts working together instead of apparently being their own biggest enemy.

Dificil como está. El juego está cogiendo mala fama de que hay que jugar entre las 3 y 6 de la madrugada porque los norteamericanos aprovechan para atacar a esa hora. La gente estudia y trabaja. Jugar a un juego que te quitan los puertos mientras duermes y que no puedes atacarlos en tu tiempo de ocio da muy mala fama. Nadie quiere jugar a un juego en estas condiciones y la mala fama de esta situación está empezando a expandirse. La gente habla de un juego en el que sólo se puede jugar en horario de norteamerica, al que hay que conectarse a las 4 de la madrugada y al que no merece la pena entrar.

Playing a game ports that take you while you sleep and you can not attack them in your free time gives a very bad reputation. People talk about a game that can only be played in North America schedule, which must be connected to 4 am.

Because spain is the only country in Europe right? Oh wait plenty of other European players fighting the US and not constantly using timers as an excuse to fight the US. SLRN assisted with the US assault at Conttoy which was a defeat for the US and they had quite a few Brits in. I keep seeing this excuse, and its nothing more then an excuse. Part of the issue is spain had so many ports to start with which didn't allow them to set the times but ultimately, blaming time zones that more players in other factions face as well, is nothing more then a cop out. The bigger issue would seem to be spains inability to work together. You're disorganized and that will never result in a positive for your faction.
The alliance thing would be cool and could solve a lot of the issues. SLRN and REA were/are allied but all a different faction can do atm is try to blockade and not participate in the actual battle. Personally, I think the problem is there are entirely way to many factions and one side is always going to be extremely underpopulated and therefore balancing will penalize larger nations. When I rerolled from pirates and was trying to decide what faction to play I was told Spain faction chat was nothing but Spanish same for the clans, where is the incentive for all of us from North America to play with a faction we can't communicate with?
I personally think a faction cap should have been implemented from the start, but I can also see how that could have hindered steam sales. No one enjoys being forced to play in a faction they didn't really want or not being able to play with their friends because of a lock. Ultimately I think there needs to be some sort of incentive to pull players from other factions to roll Spanish/French . Hopefully though since its an Alpha people wont quit and the community and devs can come up with ways to balance the factions and hopefully even out the populations.
Also what will happen with outposts that aren't in neutral towns?

Yeah it would be fun to see the other side of things! I enjoyed this fight a lot.
Definitely the best pb I've been in, Cuyo was fun but we were sorely outgunned for it, this was much more even but I'll be glad for the day undercrewing 3rd rates at Post Captain is no longer a thing (coming from a guy who was in one.) I'd much rather it be about tactics then battle rating.

Oh fantastic! I am not upset that it happened haha, it resulted in a fantastic fight! Just that we didn't have the fire power to deal with that much armor lol, and it kinda defeats the purpose of the crew mechanics. I hope that the suggestion doesn't sound like a whine, it's really a balance issue in my opinion.
These certainly have been the most fun fights yet, even if I lost my conny last night.
It doesn't sound like a whine and to be fair it happened to us when we attacked Cuyo, but all in all it was a great fight. I might upload my side tonight where you can see the main lesson is to never bring medium cannons to a line fight and 2-3 third rates attempt a mating ritual. Whoever was on top of me had me 98% of water which really would have helped you out but I somehow managed to survive and get out.
