  1. xD I thought you tried to intercept me and a few bigger ships were waiting behind you for the reasons where I was coming from xD
  2. I should have sunk your privateer today in the early morning... I knew it.
  3. So you finally enlist to the Swedish navy?
  4. I think I broke him... can we get a new one?
  5. Siju, with this post of your clanleader every word of you is wasted.DrunkenSloth: When you believe the diplomacy-system will put the ideas of a minority over a majority, you are wrong. The game will allow you probably to fight allies... but you will porbably become pirates or being punished otherwise. Everyhting else would mean there wouldn't be a Diplomacy-System in action.
  6. @Siju: When there is RP-wise no government (except that there are people roleplaying one, which DRUNK doesn't accept because they don't like their decisions), then there can't be privateers. Thus you are pirates. An NPC-government? Interesting thought except this government couldn't be able to buy privateers... so in the end there are no privateers either. In case there is a NPC government: Then the council would be a naval High-Command leading Swedish fleets in the area on behalf of the NPC government and thus does also gives out targets for privateers. In such a case DRUNK would be traitors, not privateers. Roleplaying wise you can't deny the others their right to role play too, which means you do not play your role correctly. From a game-mechanic standpoint is the game intended to be played with diplomacy in mind even when not yet implemented in this Alpha-build is it part of the game. Thus the council-side plays the game as it is intended to be, while DRUNK is playing the game in an unfinished and not intended way.
  7. Who is the government for DRUNK? When you are privateers you need a government to play for... so who or what is it?
  8. Because the minority has other options to play as they want, but they decided to play in a certain team, saying afterwards you don't want to play with this team, is like playing soccer and shooting the ball constantly out of the game... or like playing football but not wanting to block for your quarterback. And only because this game is settled in the 18th century, doesn't mean we need to play a society like it was.... I mean you don't shoot your own team-mates in CoD only because you "role-play" a Russian Commissar... And to your first line: DRUNKs actions won't matter when there are far more actions elsewhere.
  9. When war and peace is decided by the amount of actions against a certain nation, it is still a majority rule... even when a pretty useless one in terms of the ressource mechanic in this game. Ohh... and in todays societies naval captains are legal to vote, as long as they live in a democracy... and let us not forget we do not resemble the historic society rules in this game, otherwise most people wouldn't even be allowed to play this game.
  10. I think a majority will be able to determine the actions of a nation and people who want to act against a majority (and thus the nation), will either be unable to do so or turn pirate. We probably see even a possibility to join a nation from the pirate-status... I at least hope so.
  11. Of course from a technical standpoint current diplomacy doesn't need testing as it isn't implemented on a technical basis. But you yourself state it is part of the "metagame", which is the important part. Game-Mechanics in terms of player-interactions and Balancing is well affected by Diplomacy and is thus part of the upcoming game, even when not yet technical implemented. DRUNK has the leverage? I don't think so actually because time plays for the Council-Side, they can sit the problem simply out without any kind of compromise. As soon diplomacy is technically implemented into the game, DRUNK will stand within the nation with pants down as outsiders. €: AFAIK it was said to happen within the next 2 month... so, not really a long time.
  12. This is actually wrong. This game is still in its Alpha and we are supposed to test/ play it. It was already stated multiple times that a diplomatic system is going to be introduced into the game. So, the game is intended to be tested/ played with diplomaty in mind, not in its current state. The problems we are currently facing with diplomacy are an important indicator for an upcoming diplomatic system. It is also important for the balance of the game.
  13. There is just one big problem with this: Ressources and Crafting. As soon as DRUNK attacks a port with vital Danish ressources that Sweden might not even need, there is a chance that War with Denmark escalates not only between DRUNK and Denmark but between the whole communities. The result is rather obvious: DRUNK got their way and destroyed what others build up (not necessarily by purpose but in the end). This is not a compromise. You realize there was an outspoken compromise? DRUNK can do as they please, except for buying flags against Nations Sweden is not at war with. This way the diplomacy (and with it an achievement of a huge part of the community) is not in threat by an maybe unthoughtful action. The solution I propose is the following: DRUNK as a privateer clan accepts that the council is the diplomatic organization of Sweden and accepts their diplomatic decisions as such but they are free to act against them as much as they want with the only exception of buying flags (as this is part of the diplomacy) and helping nations in actions against Sweden that Sweden is at war with. DRUNK is expecteded to communicate its role accordingly (so no own diplomacy of single Clans). Drunk can offer its services and fight with whomever it wants to, except for buying flags. They stop calling other people traitors or whatever just because of diplomatic decisions, but their actions are not seen as a threat to Sweden (except for buying flags). DRUNK members are welcome to join any PB but are, as everyone, expected to join the Council Teamspeak to enable a central command for the PB. The defense of the Homewaters (the current Northern harbors under Swedish control) is done together and a close cooperation is expected by both sides. DRUNK is free to join the council as an equal member anytime as soon as they lay down their privateering actions. In the end: Drunk can still do as they please except for buying flags and making their own diplomacy as this is within the role of the council. You are free on the other hand to blockade any harbor you want, attack every player you want and you are unbound by any diplomatic decision of the council. This is a compromise, I think both sides can live with because it doesn't change the status quo. Goal is that no clan is doing diplomacy for the whole of Sweden on its own. Neither is doing KF, nor HRE, nor KSKGE... the council is making the diplomacy and every clan is free to join it or to go the way of DRUNK.
  14. Sju please explain to me a solution to following dilemma: When DRUNK plays as they wishes they destroy the fun of players liking RvR (PvP) and Diplomacy. When the Council gets his way, they destroy the fun of DRUNK. You feel attacked by a large part of the playerbase of the Swedish community, nevertheless you are not willing to point out the many wrong doings of your clanmates, nor are you willing to offer a compromise so far. Why should other people let themselve mistreat by some DRUNK member? Why should other people take care of DRUNKs enjoyment, when the same respect isn't offered by this clan itself. I'm not free of guilt but I don't feel sorry either. Nevertheless I'm open for viable solutions... It just feels like DRUNK isn't open for any kind of compromise. This is not against you... you are just part of the wrong side.
  15. These kind of words, everyday, in chat and in forum and DRUNK member really believe they behave respectfully. Also: You're not a crafter as it seems.
  16. The last battle... the main event was within the Dutch chosen timeframe.
  17. Late night?Just for the record: Would it have been a real attack, it would have been at the same time because the Dutch set their porttimers to exactly that time for a lot of their cities (including San Timoteo of which the flag was bought). So when you want to blame us for your porttimers ... it really gets ridicoulus. This raid was done during the time the Dutch have chosen to defend on this city... and for "Late night"... there were plenty of Dutch players online... ask the fleet at Maracaibo. ????
  18. We write the 29th March 2016. On this glorious day the Swedish flotilla of the Caribbean launched a dare raid against their toughest opponent in revenge for the attack on our Caribbean home waters close to Gustavia. While the raid in itself was not strong, nor dangerous, it hit the Dutch directly in their heart at a point they would have never believed would be possible to attack and will leave a bitter mark on their false believe of security. The division of KSKGE passed with good winds and only the braveness of their captains and sailors through the passage of Maracaibo to attack every Dutch ship in the area of San Timoteo. Many Dutch ships were sunk and the information we won that day are vital for the further operations in the theatre. They will help us with our future offensives against the Dutch oversea colonies. Nevertheless, many brave sailors and captains died this day but we will remember them as the men that tried the unbelievable as the Dutch will remember them as the men that caused them to know fear again. But our raid was not only a successful moral attack, it caused a severe amount of damage too. Several traders and Frigate-Class ships were sunk and San Timoteos important industrial sites laid down under fire. As proof of the raid:
  19. When DRUNK plays Swedish privateers... GOVERNMENT pirates, as you call it, who is the current government of Sweden? The Swedish High Council or the Clan-Leader of DRUNK? Who is the biggest threat to Sweden currently? Denmark who is leaving us alone or the Dutch attacking our homewaters? Your points are inconsistent with your actions. €: Thus, you are no more Swedish Privateers as you do not accept the Swedish authority of the majority. You are outlaws, rebels, traitors,... not privateers. In short: You are just pirates.
  20. Too much PvE for a PvP game. Peace through PvE isn't enjoyable IMO.
  21. Pirates shouldn't be able to craft SoL's, but able to join any nation for 1.000.000 gold. This way Drunk could leave Sweden, fight on and be able to rejoin any time after a mutual agreement. People could switch nations when they start disliking their own.
  22. Neither RNoN nor DRUNK are able to hold ports on their own nor are they able to capture defended ones. @OP: I respect people until they don't deserve it anymore. DRUNK is unable to step down under the will of a majority (!). They are unable to accept an obvious defeat against the Danes and are thus bad loser. This is enough for me to lose my respect regarding their actions and players.
  23. And? Does this mean we have to fight in this game? No.Do you want to rewrite history? And why is it importang that you are from Scania? Nobody cares, except you as it seems. What has your local heritage to do with Denmark?
  24. Again you fail to see that it isn't only KF. Until you understand this fact there is no need to argue further. Regarding Griefing: Players of all nations put up a lot of work to enable an improvised diplomacy system. RNoN and DRUNK are trying tk destroy exactly this system on purpose. You might not break rules but you are destroying the fun an work of other players on purpose. Thus you are griefing.
