Will There Ever Be A Portuguese Faction?

So I saw this game on Steam last night and I fell in love with it instantly, I always wanted a game like this so I can play as a Portuguese Admiral, and that's the only reason why I haven't bought the game already. I know that Portugal held no territory in the Caribbeans in the 1700s but still due to the short distance between this region and Brasil I think it is possible to consider a small Portuguese territory somewhere on the edge of the map . I love the game mechanics and the realistic game play, I just don't find any of the current factions attractive since all of them were Portugal's colonial rivals at the time, and I also think that it is unfair to have Denmark and Sweden in a game based on the age of colonialism and not have Portugal. I am not Portuguese by the way, i just like their empire like some people like football teams xD
