Two things the game DESPERATELY NEEDS!

It's simple:

1) The game needs to be able to load new turns while in the background, since it takes so long to load turns I like to be able to do something else while it loads, so please just make it so the game can continue loading turns while in the background of the PC

 

2) We need to be able to see the available tonnage we have available to build ships before we accept a contract from a minor nation to build a ship for them, too many times am i unsure of if i can build a ship a minor ally needs because I don't know the exact value of my available tonnage, so please put the meter somewhere on the screen when we get a request to build a ship.

Easy stuff.

Are you running in a window. I generally run in a 3k window on a 4k screen and don't generally have any problems.
