As many of you may know, the battle of Franklin - followed a few days later by the Battle of Nashville - helped to defeat the Army of Tennessee on it's own turf. The Battle of Franklin is sometimes referred to as 'Pickett's Charge of the West'. In late November of 1864, Lt. Gen.John Bell Hood sent his Confederates across two miles of open ground for a frontal assault against fortified Union positions (led by Maj.Gen. John Schofield) just south of Franklin. The purpose being, to keep Schofield from reaching Nashville. Hood was supported by the cavalry of Nathan Bedford Forrest. Six Generals were killed or mortally wounded at the Battle of Franklin including, Cleburne, Adams, Gist, Granbury, Carter and Strahl. Please let me know if this battle is included with the game.
