  4. Yes, but when you sink, you don't make collateral damage... Here, when you burn, you can explode and demast all player in 100-150m... So it's not very fair play... With the future patch, the fire will make some damage to the sails. So, the "kamikaze" explosion ship will be less easy... But i support that one war ship don't explose in 5 minutes... If one fire is uncontrollable, the ship will explose in 15-20 minutes. It's more realistic...
  5. It's a game in developement. So I make some suggestion to improve the game. To me, a shipfire must be one unique ship, with 3 size: little/medium/big All shipfire have limited crew/canons in comparison to the other war ships... To remove the intentionnal war ships exlosion, the crew fight the fire automatically, except the fireship because it's their job...
  6. Ok, but with or without men trying to fught the fire, one ship don't explose in 5 minutes...
  7. Except when the 'randmomness" explosion is desired with one non pertinent ship...
  8. Nope:http://www.napoleon.org/histoire-des-2-empires/articles/lexplosion-de-lorient-un-des-vaisseaux-les-plus-puissants-du-monde/ It's in french, but this is one rapid traduction: Placed at the center of the device decided by Brueys, the East had begun by lightning the Bellerophon. At 7:30 pm, the first drama intervened: the death of Brueys, almost cut in two by a cannon ball. An hour later, its flag captain, Casabianca, was seriously wounded in the head. Up to five English ships fought on the East. Several beginnings of fire had been brought under control, but the fire resumed constantly, fueled by the paintings and oil spilled on the bridge. At 9:45 pm, a new fire broke out in the mizzen brackets on the port side and spread through the masts. But this time it became uncontrollable. According to the law of the series, everything combined to check the fight against the fire to which the men of the battery of 24 had been called: broken fire pump; Inaccessible combat axes; Buckets scattered ... The ship was the prey of the flames from the front to the rear. Faced with the magnitude and the violence of the disaster, Ganteaume decided to drown the powders, the ultimate measure to save the building at the cost of his disarmament. The master cauldron opened the taps. But it was too late, the fire progressed faster the water. Ganteaume had no alternative but to order the evacuation of the East. In the general rescue, a hundred men managed to get on a launch; Some embarked on a half-calcined canoe; Others clung to the mast and debris surrounding the ship in flames; The wounded who remained on board died burnt alive. At about 10:30 pm, the flagship of the French navy exploded in a terrible crash, shaking the surrounding ships, covering them with burning debris.
  9. I have see this screen... This Fireship has a limited crew, he's not one ship on line and have very little canons.... Actually, you can have a ship on line full armed, full crew and you can transform that instanly to Fireship... See this topic:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fireships_of_the_Royal_Navy You can see that Fireship are manly 5th-6th rate, sloop and merchants... Not ship on line...
  10. Hodo, tell me one historical example who one captain has let explose his ship with the crew... If you can't, it's because this isn't realistic, and this "sacrifice" has any place in NA...
  11. For me, allow the player to be one explosion ship is perverse and can be use as exploit... if you will disgust the other player to play PB, keep going, you are in the right way...
  12. No, the current is not good: a war ship is not planned to be one Fireship. If you will a fireship, you craft one ship planned to do the job... A war ship can explose, but not so quickly...
  13. Add one craft Fireship may interesting... Fireships were famously used to great effect by the English against the Spanish Armada during the Battle of Gravelines. But i don't want the Dev add an explosion ship or hellburner. They will be litteraly OP and not fair play...
  14. rediii, one ship explosion must be exceptional, not the rule...
  15. Hello everyone!! Sorry if i make some mistake, my english isn't very good. Actually, i have one problem to the fire system and the explosion system. Fisrt, the fire system: the current system allow the captain to not fight the fire, and indirectly provoque his ship explosion. It's historical inconceivable to let one ship in fire: ship are very expensive in time, in ressources and in gold. So, I propose to turn the fire combat obligatory. The captain will not let his ship explose so easily. Secondly, the explosion system: the current system is too quick: one ship in fire can explose in 5 mn. Historicaly, ship explosion is very rare and the course take some time. The best example is the L'Orient, who have explose during the Aboulir battle. The fire have start at 21h45 and the ship have explode at 22h30. At least 45 minuteshas been necessary. So, I propose to let at 15-20 mn the minimal explosion timer. All of this is to make the combat gameplay more realistic, and limit kamikaze explosion on the adverse fleet.
