  1. Dang. This is a good one. I'm start tracking it with f11. I've been sent twice to Cantale (spelling? Between Santa Marta and portobello). Once after undocking, and once after exiting a battle instance.

  2. Today, my chat lasted my whole gaming session, which was about 4 hours. One of two things perhaps;

    1. They fixed it.

    2. Like a fool, I typed a single letter into my group chat every 1-4 minutes (usually every minute).

I had read somewhere that the chat instances were timing out due to inactivity...

  3. I had issues yesterday. Actions I've tried :

    - Full reinstall

    - Open ports as directed for steam/naval action.

    - Changed exe files to Windows 7 compatibility mode.

Chat works for a period of time. But going in and out of ports and/or entering battles seems to break it. Makes grouping impossible.

  4. Decent idea. Attacks are based on player's only and ports I assume. Npc's would not factor into the calculations.

This meter, if anything, it's a good reflection of actual in game player activity against each other. I would suggest there is some decay in both status... EG, if no ports attacked or players pvp'd, then the status approaches neutral again.

These status wouldn't bind anyone, they are just reflection major player group decisions.

  5. Regardless of what the facts point too, I play as if it's a fantasy match up during 1760, at tail end of 7 year war.

Why? I like the time period with the King Louis' more. Being as nothing aligns exact, it's perfectly fine to believe my delusional thoughts.

If the Dev's have stated a specific date, let me know. Most of SLMFr call France a republic, in line with Neoplonic times...

  6. It is less of a tribunal worthy issue, and more of a game mechanics issue.

    Intent is hard to prove.

This person might believe in their mind that they are fighting their hardest by not giving in to their opposition. That said, they grief the entire group for an hour plus sailing around when the battle has already been lost.

Or they were purposely griefing for the tears. Who knows?

Hence, a game mechanic to remove such options is likely warranted. Either a quickly shrinking out of zone circle with each kill, and/or passage of time. This keeps them in closer quarters. Or a time out option, where the battle is ended automatically after no damage dealt for "x" amount of time.

Mayhap not the best options, but you get the idea.
