  1. Captain Lannes, this is a bug that will be fixed in one of the next patches

Captain Leo Davis, this is a known issue, we are investigating it, also will be fixed in one of the next patches

Just saw the reply. Thank-you very much.

    When's the next patch?

  2.  ok then please can the devs give us some info on the numbers

    is that hard?

Something is going on that the DEVS are not telling us about. Perhaps they are trying to sort out and fix this bug which makes the crew regenerate with a few players and not with the great majority. It's a good bug to have and we all should have it. Regeneration of crew to your rank level (e.g., mine is 650 men) for free.

I haven't been able to sail my 3rd rate becaue I have only enough crew for my Constitution, short of buying 200 crew at astronomical prices. Since I'm already trading, mining and crafting to help my clan, there is not much left in the kitty from missions, after I pay for repairs and buy some crew to top up the Connie.

  3. I have mentioned this repeatedly elsewhere to the point of frustration because I have had no replies from Staff.

It has been posted that crew automatically regenerates to your rank level--in my case, 650 men.

I have seen NO regeneration of crew, and neither has any member of my clan, beyond the crew that we are compelled to buy.

I repeat, no automatic crew regeneration is occurring in our cases.

We would like to know what is going on? Do we have a bug, or have those persons for whom crew regenerates automatically at no cost a bug?

  4. I don't think so.  Replenishment happens for me around the same time every day no matter what I am doing.

I suspect that every 24 hours you are replenished with an allotment of zero-cost crew based on your rank.  If you are not getting your pool fully recharged, it is probably because you have lost enough crew per day to exceed this allotment, and then are continuing to lose day to day, so you never see a full replenishment.

NO, NO, NO! There is no replenishment for myself nor any of my clan teammates! I repeat NO replenishment of crew under any circumstances other than buying crew!

I have had no reply from the DEVELOPERS.

    PS. I have F11 the so-called bug.

  5. There is definitely a bug regarding crew, I just did a 152 fleet mission in a connie, I capped a ren and cerb and sent them back to an outpost to sell, when I docked then teleported to willem I was back to 1100 crew without hiring any crew. I did not take any screrenshots but I will try to replicate it and take some.

DEVELOPERS please reply to this. Is it a BUG or not? Some of us have crew regenerating and some of us NOT including my whole clan! Developers please reply!

  6. For me crew regenerate themselv after some time. Even if im at sea.

And about prices ... STOP WHINING.

You can see @ landlording topic that bigger and more ports will boost your crew replenishment timers! You can buy/craft medkits! You can sail smaller ships!

You can wait for automatic replenishment ( if it doesnt work, F11 raport bug )!

Get outside of your box! Take off blidners from your eyes and watch how it`ll impact gameplay! You want everyone to sail 1st rate all the time? Because it will happen! It`s just a matter of time.

Personally i love that bigger ships costs more. That way it`s more important to think strategically. Hit enemy economy! Take important ports! Blockade with smaller ships? Or maybe full strike with 1st rates and risk huge amount of gold? Stop sailing arround with precious ships! Or pay for your own stubordiness and stupidity ( no offence, nothing personal )!

We mostly should sail 4-5th rates. Thats more a) interesting, B) healthy, c) realistic, d) creates more variation and options.

It`s so annoying how people are so egocentric and how they demand changes to please themselves.

Please devs, dont listen to them. First introduce all mechanics that will support crew managment, then test it for some time and eventually tweak what needs to be changed! Stop listening to whiners that whine 2-3 days from patch/fix! They only think about their pleasure, nothing more!

No, my CREW DOES NOT REGENERATE neither when I am at sea nor on the dunny.

I think you mean that I am the 'whiner' that 'only think(s) about (his) pleasure, nothing more!' What do you play wargames for? to increase your intelligence quotient? or, to be discovered and find paid work as a developer? or, you just like paper-work and can't get enough of it, perhaps.

I play wargames for PLEASURE. (What a surprising revelation!)

  7. Crew accountancy is making the game less enjoyable for me. Still, no one has explained how the crew auto-regenerates. Perhaps it's one of those pieces of misinformation that get bandied about to make the originator feel good at fooling players. Then, there is the distraction of the fishing and the anxiety over finding your very own bottle. This game is reverting toward a silliness that is destroying the pleasure of the wargame.

  8. This is what will happen based on recent history. The largest factions or alliances will predominate and persecute smaller factions to extinction. After all its great fun to win but its not much fun to get crushed day after day. I have no confidence in the player-run society to act reasonably. Whatever diplomacy mechanic is put in place there has to be a higher authority that can overturn nations/alliances if they get to a point that smaller nations are being destroyed. I have no confidence at all in the proposed system if there is no oversight.

There needs to be protection for the smaller clans or smaller nations and for individual players who, for their own legitimate reasons, do not want to be in a clan.

We need more NATIONS as well. There is no reason why the Kingdom of Italy 'Regia Marina', the Neapolitan Navy, the Prussian Navy and the Imperial Russian Navy should not be represented. This would gather together nationalities otherwise attached to nations that do not speak their language, with all the problems that begets.

  9. Allied Access to ports - Diplomacy.

This should be an option to prevent clans just deciding to give up a port to allow allied access to territory that really then just land locks and stifles the poor punters that are not part of a clan and have no idea when these changes happen.

This would also help because clans tend to be so afraid of spies that they don't announce it to anybody apart from their common clan team speak.

I agree. We must have a communication system. Also, diplomacy must be part of the game. This means a nation needs a body which decides on its international relations and who communicates its decisions to the rest of the national players.

I found out by chance in the nation chat that Port Antonio was given to the Dutch 'on loan'. Our clan had no idea, nor was it given the opportunity to vote on it. Who decided it was unknown to us.

PS. As to the fear of 'spies', this seems to be widespread among people who take the game overly seriously, and begin to play their roles as if it were real life. When that happens, it is dangerous to mental health, IMHO.

  10. Hey boss, I've had a victory for 2 months and a paval for about 6. Along with several other ships for even longer due to almost exclusive paval and victory usage.

My traders Lynx is nearly 10 months old and I used it for high risk trade runs frequently.

I firmly believe we should be required to supply our ships with food water and ammo.

Pirates of the burning sea, elite dangerous, And Eve online require ammo,

You recently sites cid Myers pirates requiring you to sail prizes back, well you also were required to supply your crew with food. I really hated the requirement to disband the crew after a time. Like shut up and sail.

Elite dangerous requires fuel for space ships.

Point is that each of these requirements is a beautiful niche for players to get themselves into. Each thing creates a potential market that should be handled by player to player transactions.

I am completely against onerous paperwork and time-wasting that takes away from gameplay and also forces people to join clans (which they may not want to do) over being a loner in a nation (which should be also a playable option).

  11. Balance the game. Do not make it too complicated and onerous. Sailing on the OW can be fun for very short periods, but boring when it is imposed upon us for lengths of time because of the crew or other mechanics of the game, e.g. when one cannot find an inaccurately placed crossed swords. This must continue to be a game which one can play alone, PvE, or with mates, PvP. There have been many objections to these proposed changes. It is worth testing quickly and deciding just as quickly to keep or dump the changes.

I like the idea of a core crew (is that what 'persistent' means in Naval Action?) which increases in quality from raw to trained to veteran and to elite. I like the idea of officers which increase the morale, handling and gunnery in a ship.

  12. To DEVELOPERS: I would like to see current crews develop experience and thus become better at sailing, firing and boarding, over time.

A battle-hardened crew should be better than a raw one. As one loses men, they could be replaced at port, but the replacements could dilute the remaining, more experienced crew.

As you move from one command to the next higher one, your core crew could come with you.

Thus, the latest, best ship I have as a Post Captain, my Trincomalee would have my best crew. My Essex the next best, and so on.

  13. calm down captain - losing victory is indeed frustrating

did you report f11 when you relogged?

because currently system gives 10 mins to re login - if you say it is 5 mins you should be able to get back to battle

we will check the logs tomorrow and report back to you in private message

I wrote about this elsewhere, too, but perhaps this is the right thread. (I don't know how to start a thread. I haven't been able to find the location.)

CANNOT LEAVE: I outdistanced my AI pursuers for over an HOUR, but could not leave. They were way back in the distance, much further than I have ever outdistanced an opponent's ship before. I had to wait until the whole game timed out more than an an hour and 5 minutes after I decided to run away. Is this a BUG? I reported it via F11 during the battle.
