  1. while I hate to do this I am so glad that France set Brewers to 00-02 I can go to a port battle in a ship I built again thanks.

I am a euro who lives in Britain I work a 10hr day I get home go out to work for another 2 hours then sit down at my prime time which is 22-02 so I miss all the fun often arriving late to the battle or missing out all together. last night I sailed from KPR to Little Cayman(uncontested pb at prime time evening off) i then sailed with the fleet to Misteriosa expecting a fight from the Pirates there oh what a surprise uncontested. All this time I had re severed my TP so I could TP to my port in the hot bed of Honduras ready to join a port battle defence but what happens nothing nada French try to get ports with Spanish consent in northern Yucatan.

France had every opportunity last night to attack ports at late prime time but decided they might have a better option.

With regards to timers I told you that you messed up in your defence against the Danes because you set the timers all to your prime time but did you learn no maybe next time you are given an area on a plate you will learn by your mistakes.

  2. I might add you missed out BRITS as we have fought long and hard with some very enjoyable fights.

We stopped attacking you because we needed a break also the pressure on other flanks required our attention.

I am glad Spain has found the strength and resolve to push us back but don't think for a minute we are finished for that would be foolish.

o7 Spain good fights I look forward to many more.

  3. While I like this idea we should flesh it out a bit so here are my thoughts

The political situation in the Carribean should be driven by imaginary events in Europe so how do we shape that.

Europe in the time period was a hot bed of upstarts and warmongers who wanted nothing more than to expand thier borders though most country's had stable borders with most of thier neighbours war in Europe means war in our own theatre so to drive this the devs will need to create an algorithm that randomly generated unrest in Europe leading to war between nations.

The period of war between nations is driven by several factors.

    A. The chance of political solutions ( randomised) 15:1

    B. Aggressive acts (randomised) 20:1

    C. Military stance created by perseived unrest in neighbouring country's(randomised) 15:1

    D. Military standing in the Carribean generated by the factions represented there. This could be how many traders or NPC'S of a nation are Attacked or stopped by patrolling war ships. This is a percentage driven chance that is combined with the randomised events above.

How does this affect the gameplay for us? I hear you say.

By these events combining to make war I think we would be looking at say a period of war say 2 weeks in which ports could be capable or defending. During this time anything goes open world pvp battles, port battles NPC farming all out war between the 2 nations involved. Now if one of these nations is allied with another then the allied nation may be able to assist but this would have possible political fallout in the home nation possibly dragging the assisting nation into war.

Once the war has finished again this could be randomly decided but the 2weeks of war is the minimum the randomiser could add a further 7 days to the campaign depends on how quickly the packet ship bringing the message that the war was over took to arrive from Europe.

Once the war is over there is a minimum period of rest and recuperation allowed of say a week this should help alleviate the element of burnout I am hearing players complaining about the constant port battles for 8 hours a day is driving many away from the game.

But this does not mean your warring may be over because all of a sudden you might find yourself at war or on a potential war footing as another nation makes moves in Europe.

Forgive my ramblings and poor grammar sitting writing this and not reading back on a tablet.

  4. Well a response is needed from Admin, and a statement issued about this post.

Granted we are in early access, and bugs etc need to be flushed out.

This post and its replys have highlighted the abuse of flag mechanics, alts, griefing call it what you want..

Players are not blind and a lot are very passionate about this game, and want this game to be a success. Unfortunatley there are a small minority of players who have the" lets win at any cost mentality" which exposes the cheating and bending of the game mechanics.

I'm not going to get into a mud slinging contest, but I and quite a few others will be more than interested on what the Admins have to say.

    lets hope they respond quickly.

Remember guys its a GAME and its the player base and the Devs who will decide the future of Naval Action

Will it sink or Will it swim. ....?

Now with regards to this thread I believe the Pirates accused here did exactly as described with the intent of blocking FTS the evidence is there for all to see.

With regard to FTS being in our pockets this is strictly not true this is certainly the case in regards to BRITS. Valco did propose something to do with taking the Jamaica ports but we declined the invitation and we 100% did work in partnership to push the US out of Northern Yucatan but this was to help the Spanish regain some ports but that's as far as our relationship goes.

  5. The only reason I can see that Spain wants the port Robras and Batabano is for the coal and fir. The rest of the Southern side is irrelivent so there is no problems keeping them to be honest getting coal is easy atm but you want those ports because they are the closest that provide those specific resources.

  6. I'm sorry to break a bit your topic, but it seems that you didn't tell all the truth

You didn't notice the british ports loose of the night

    3 looses by the pirates

    2 from the danish

    1 by the french

you had loose a entire fleet at new endinburg that includ :

    8 bellonas

    2 victory

    1 pavel

    6 3rd rates

The losses to the Pirates were at ports far of the beaten track that we were unable to gather the forces necessary to fight for.

I can't comment on the Danes but I guess it was much the same our major forces tied up elsewhere.

As for Playon I have no words just dismay.

The recapture of these ports on Jamaica were a good morale boost for the beleaguered British players in KPR.

  7. Seeing as Pepe cannot be bothered

I will not speak more English , traducid if you feel like it.

There will be no peace for those who betrayed an alliance agreement and lied about as done . You began now Hold on and assume the consequences of your mistake , any British ship we see will be treated as it deserves , become floating chips , you are not going to be able to stop making ships to provide us fun and white , no matter what hundáis us , we will always be there, behind yours. Do not leave you alone , so do not talk more treaties, ahorrad dedicadselas lies and others.

  8. Too much BLAH BLAH BLAH

If u want peace give us back 15 ports immediatly, if not say welcome to the shallows

Read the original post 21 ports.

So you'll be giving back the Gulf of Mexico, then?

That's what is suggested yes. Well the ports that are in our power to do so. We can't give back what we don't own.

  9. Sadly as with all diplomacy you have to start somewhere and as jäger has posted a proposal to which I agree this is a start point.

Maturin states Spain will not come to the table for anything less than Robras to Batatano while

Victor added Corrientes and Pinar del Rio.

Keep going Spain so far you want us to return 25 ports to you before you will even sit at the table while we offered 21.

If RAE are to be understood they would add

    Cocodrillo

    Santa Fe

    Daguilla

    Siguinea

    San Lazaro

    Cochinos

    Jagua

    Trinidad

    Sancti Spiritus

    Santa Marta

    Manzanilla

    Santa Cruz

That's a further 12 ports we can't give back Portillo, Puerto Escondido, Guama Sevilla or Sant Lago as we don't control them.

This is the extent of my understanding of Spanish claims now I may be wrong but if Pepe had his way he would lay claim to every port that historically Spain held at the height of thier supremacy in the Carribean. Sadly this is not 1750 but 2016 and we are in a computer game that is run by a port conquest mechanic with no end game at this time.

  10. as someone said against a tyrant:

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in Habana,

we shall fight on the seas and oceans,

we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be,

we shall fight on the beaches,

we shall fight on the landing grounds,

we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,

    we shall fight in the hills;

we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the Spanish Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old

Sorry for modified some of the original message

Poor old Winston Churchill speech bastardised.
  11. Personally this all comes down to no war or no war mechanic in game and that once the devs and a system that randomly modifies the war footing status of each nation based on a variety of things ie- European theatre policies and politics of the time and what the players are doing against other nations then a period of war could be determind by the game not clans or diplomats.

So atm the game is broken in this respect.

  12. It is like... Hey guys this all didnt go very well because everone is blaming the others so lets talk. And the others like NOOO! You are wrong Lalala I cant hear you...

    Bah. No time for this...

oh I heard him just wasn't really listening to his lies about supporting the Spanish nation he rerolled Pirate for an easy life.
  13. Sadly this won't happen the devs wouldn't do it for us yes there is a bug so bug report it sometimes it's a dev thing the devs as I understand it manually change the pb timers themselves therefore it's their mistake and therefore this is moot point.

With regards to the 8 hr cool down I would say that is a bug too which needs fixing but regardless to say if the cool down had worked as its supposed to then we would have taken it after 2am anyways.

  14. My suggestions were already rejected by your council, that's why a war between Spain and Britain exists as of now, so I won't waste my breathe any longer on that issue.

To post on that forum would be out of place for me as I am not Spanish, and you have requested only Spanish and British players post suggestions there, and I will not speak for a nation that is suffering as a result of your decision to push for war against them as I have no direct stake in the conflict.  My pact with Spain is purely honorable, and regardless of whether you make peace or not will not change the course I and the rest of us are on.  You people had your chance to deal with us in a fair discussion of terms, you chose to run around in circles and avoid the prime issue that was plaguing our nations.  You chose to react like this, and now you want peace after the fact?

Back then there wouldn't have been port timers preventing a nation from attacking another nation in it's prime-time, we're playing a game that has mechanics that restrict realistic behaviors.  You haven't beaten Spain, you've simply tied it's hands behind it's back and forced it to take blow after blow, that's why we're pirates now, as pirates your faction can't hide behind timers from us.

If you had any sense of dignity or honor in this matter it wouldn't have come to war, and you wouldn't be proclaiming victory over a nation you slipped yourself into the belly of, and then began stabbing as soon as it's stomach grumbled.  This conduct is inexcusable, and the fact that you are claiming victory over it only fuels the flames in the hearts of all Spanish and any who sympathize with the nation.

We Spanish corsairs have already chosen our lot in this matter, whatever the remaining Spanish choose to do will be respected by us, but they are not alone in their fight against you and we have found a better means in which to wage war on your over-reaching empire.

On that note, good luck in your negotiations. ;)

    Lalalala

Now if I remember correctly you were sitting in a meeting with us the British Council at the time that you led the attack on Misteriosa at the same very time you were demanding that we gave you 16 ports in exchange for peace. That is not the conduct of a diplomatic leader who wanted peace it smacked of someone trying to distract us and very under hand.

Did you really think we were going to just roll over and just hand those ports to you on a Silver platter? If you did you were very wrong!

We countered your offer and suggested that we would return 6 ports to Spain over a period and a further 2 after that with conditions sadly your attacks went in and as a result you ran away leaving Spain for a live as a Pirate because your clan could not get what you wanted from us.

You left your Spanish Brothers and sisters to suffer at our hands rather than defend just like you did when in RAE and you all ran from the Americans and headed to Panama that tells me you have no passion for the Spanish nation and should be treated by Spain as the rest of the world treats Pirates which is scum of the earth.

  15. Depends where you take that point of view from do you take that point as at the start of the game because by that statement the Dutch, Danes, French, Pirates and Americans all control now what was vast areas of Spanish territory.

The offer jäger suggested was initially we would give you back the Bay of Mexico, The Yucatan upto Cottonoy.

What you also have to consider is that since the patch there is no need to control anymore ports that what you need to build ships because we can all build from 5 ports I think the devs said so the old arguement about the southern half of Cuba is a mute point.

  16. We dont want your peace.

It does not have to be peace just a nap for a certain period. 1-2 months as Jäger said after that we can resume this war if Spain wants. Lobogris this is part of the reason we are where we are today. The lack of patiance within Spain, the lack of unity in Spain which I am very glad to see long may it continue is part of the reas we are in this mess if you don't want talk it over then I suggest you patch those leaking hulls and ready your muskets.
