    I can show you how i capture a purple teak/wo 4/5 constitutuion with a capped caguarian crew space LGV :) with no upgrades and 1 knowledge slot

    Not always the best upgrades Wins!

  3. if you think any idea with ALTS in mind, you are not helping the game at all... first Content then use the damn thing, but ALT here, alt there... cheaters will find a way in any posible world... this game need content, ALT should be remove bit by bit if the game itself had the conditions to play in a single account, but sadly it doesnt... 

    ALT politics is supported by

    1: output limitation
    2: building limitation
    3: gather resourses from other nations to your main account
    4: grief your main account nation ( PVP)
    5: weird RVR mechanics

    @adminmy solution to get rid of ALTS is:

    1: Output limitation Only in National Conquest ( give some meaning to RVR ) tow with fee but those dubloons go to the Owner of that PORT, supporting CLAN Missions.
    2: Building limitation increased to 10 ( this way you can farm resourses more easily without ALT and u can Use ports where you need Inside your National Area of conquest.

    and everything else will fade away with time.

    PS: sorry for beeing off Topic here. about the idea i will keep outlaw fights for Pirates, but the rest will remain the same, not friendly farming for medals.

    @adminif you want to introduce this, wich im fine with the idea. could be linked to PVP experience?
     for example, yo can craft and sail frigates up to certain rank, after that if you want to crew bigger ships or posible do another stuff u have may had to gather some experience in PVP or RVR to rank up and had more crew. 
    for example you can recon a "new guy" only by his rank and not his skill... a some sort of mercy would happen if a "lord of the admiralty" attack a Master and comander for example.
    also give's you ( as a player) some sort of reward to wear a high rank in battle due your own previews experience.

    could also be some "frigate admiralty mission" in wich you are searching specifically traders and small ships for PVP? wich a reward in reals, dubloons and mission chest (silver, gold).
    this will encourage more people to sails in search for traders and try to disrupt enemy economy.

    im just thinking some ideas...
    hope you can give a thought and put something similar to this in game. would be Great

     

  5. BTW guys... STOP thinking in ALT abuse and start thinking in CONTENT for players!!

    it doesn't matter if some players abuse with ALTS... is WAY more IMPORTANT have content in game no matter if is corruptible by alts.
    all those things will happen anyway... so please encourage new interesting content instead in comment warnings of "posible" alt abuse

    * Promotion to 6th rates and a bit more challenging missions. Escorting merchant ships, getting attacked by pirates . During this missions there is no battle timer ticking, and ships waiting. Instead there are always cinematics first and battle starts afterwards. This game just has the beauty so cinematic part is just ui turned off (ctrl+h) and free roaming camera. But will be very immersive for new players. After some 6th rate action, transfer to a new base and PVP instance/server.

    * There may be simulated RVR mission, just to introduce RVR to the new players. Just npc fighting scripted, but commands coming from the admiral to the player, go capture C circle, sink the mortar brig etc.  

    * Simulated ganking, just to show how to call ai Reinforcements, use chat windows and call help from nation. This is really important :) 

    * Story advances and all the tutorial missions are blended into story mode. Story finishes with 6th rates, captain stays with current initial nation/faction.

    * As the player is already playing on PVP server, after final exam successful, Captain has a final option to choose to serve another nation or stay with the current one. This can be postponed for some small time, but decision has to be made.

    * The whole story mode can be skipable but strongly not advised for new players.

    This is one of the missing parts of the NA. I hope they implement something like this. The ideas are just sketches of how it can be, to be further developed. After this kind of story mode, many new players get much more immersed into the game. The OW part of the game will be more desired after finishing the story mode.

     

    Note: This is not entirely my idea. There have been many similiar ideas on the forum. The fact is, this is not an idea this is a reality of gaming. In many games this has been done for many years. I am just reminding "a missing core component" of a good game. In a technical game, in a difficult game to learn game (this is not a FPS that you can start playing instantly), this kind of introduction/story mode is surely needed.

    i Just LOVE IT !!!! and you are right... this thing IS A MUST HAVE in this game... i remember when i start and i spend almost 2 weeks doing nothing, just sailing arround in a cutter, i felt lost soo many times. Finally i get caught by the hugeness of the open world map and the battle instance.

    so what thing could be? i actually stop playing cause im getting bored soooo damn quick now! i did all the thing that the game offer to you... i even unlock 5/5 slots in all the ships in the game... im real admiral and lvl50 crafter... but beside this also i fight PVP in NPC ships cause is more challenging, almost never hide myself behind "special elite upgrades", i even do stupid things like fight PVP fir/crew outnumbered, just to have some sort of a challenge... but now... i dont even think in play cause is nothing left to do...

    for example in other threads i suggest make the NPC 4th rates capturables, that would add something with the new damage model... no matter if is fir/crew/shabby but the lack of content is noticeable and with the ammount of hours invested ( 2500+hours) the game not worth my time anymore.
    im screaming for new things @admin

  8. random thought... in terms of ship limitation by nations... 

    you could Unlock (blueprint) a new ship by capturing an enemy vessel ( as a counter ingeniering) in that way you are making some ships very special and a quest for Unlock it all.
    i think that would add some spice and a good reason to do PVP.
    Also this could bring more randomness in Port Battles and force the people to be more skilled, battles also will be more interesting, cause not all of them would be Sink the ship...

    or perhaps, Unlock ships and Knowledge By ranking up?  giving some meaning to be Real Admiral.  just thoughts

  9. I think if we get rid of any type of upgrades, or perhaps some upgrades can be use only by a certain nation... Or something that diferenciate one to another... But mostly i will love to have a hardcore pirate nation with no national ports and outlaw fights... Also they need to have a morale boost for boarding. I think and a ship class cap, they only acces to bigger ships by capping.

    Every player in the game needs access to the same items for balancing purposes. Ideally nations would disappear and be replaced by clans creating more content for everyone.

  11. Im wondering, why in NA we dont have different skills or bonuses for Each nation like other games? 

    Just now it doesn't matter where you are, you just play the exact same game no. Matter the flag you wear. 

    Is posible to make some Ships exclusive but capturable for some nations?

    For example:

    GB had some armor side HP and structure HP bonus along with reload bonus.  But they cant craft some vessels, example US constitution, Locean, Santisima, and belle poul and renomee

    *French had better rigg and Speed bonuses also pen bonus. 

    They cant Craft Santisima, victory, indefatigable and US Constitution or essex

    *Spain had damage bonus, downwind speed rig bonus and crew morale boost. 

    They cant craft GB ships nor Fench ships. 

    And get ridd of Non Caribbean Nations of that period like Prussians, russians and polish. 

    You can had more content variety with less nations and his bonuses making the game More interesting and fun and also give it some purpose to some forgotten ships and play style (group sailing) cause in this case Fleet composition matter. 

    Pirates should not had national Port and they must live in Freetowns, they can only craft up to pirate frigate and grow based on capture and plunder.  They can attack each other and cooperate with each other too. 

    Dutch and Spain for example can craft Indiamans not other nation could, this way those ships are more valuable, and add a lot of interesting things into the game. 

    Other thing that i think could Be great if is you rank up you captain level doing some special missions. 

    For example you rank up now. To M&C doing the tutorial, but for further levels you need to do something once you reach the experience, kind of a test for each rank. So you will not see a "Rear Admiral" earned by sinkng AI in the OW, this test could be 10pvp kills? Or something like that 6 hostility orders completed, fight in a port battle

     

    Hope we can had something like this in the near future before release. With this new changes in damage model (wich i like a lot) trading, crafting, balance between ship class. 

    I think if i find this things after wipe i will stick a lot More into the game, for now i stop playing cause is pointless and you dont have anything to do but waste your precius time sailing nowhere and doing the exact same Things since 2 years.

  12. Beside this suggestion, wich i like, have the option in town management to put Consuming for crafted goods, for example, sabicu logs, teak, white oak, etc instead a player personal storage, so each port consume that good wich is sold at port  overprice for a little time.

    The clan paid as usual extra fee for this feature, and this feature can be on and off depending of the need. Lets say 100k per material

    So if you have "Town contracts" i think you can archieve this. 

    1: Have trade runs with purpose, letting out more people. 

    2: making ports more profitables

    3: great funcionality and dynamic town management beside timmers and basic maintainance. 

    4: RVR meaning, attack important ports beside only having them to decorate your map and drain your finances.

DLC ships only grant 5pvp mark if you kill them VS the effort in sank it with normal ships = NO FIGHT is Better... im ussually avoid fight any herc or requin because of that... no point in waste all my reps and adding a few little chances to sank one of them with out a DLC ship and also a minor reward discourage me to to fight them.
    im stick with 5th rate frigates, they are more balance and good in even fights and trying to attack bigger ships... i think Constitution need a lot of love!!! her base speed is less that a wasa and Bellona and is 2 rates lower, also his turn rate is AWFUL is a beautifull ship with out any practical Use...

    and for the Topic NO P2W, Herc is overpower way toooooo much... i dont know if is easier to nerf 2 ships that buff 5... but is your call... a good idea to balance this Herc over populatios is making Herc and requin Notes be affordables by PVP mark for those who had the DLC, so in that way you can Stop the endless FREE RISK/MONEY Spam of Hercs!!!

    I know you guys, you just want it to be fast and easy again! Shot some sails, push against the wind and then chain board the player while your mates rake.. There is no skill involved in this, it's just a gank.

    try to board someone in a PB and after that we talk...
    now u need a calculator to know how many crew u need to get close to the enemy ship to have a nice boarding action... is silly and stupid... if you do all the grape all the work, and you are getting closer, the guy just use rum and brace and you are inhable to board... the time is gone and u lose your chance... is really stupid

    BTW my ping in battle is 264 so i board only for fun and some times for need... but i think DD makes Book of 5 ring useless

    are you try to stop a 1st rate with a 6th rate?  with the chain limitation?  or you are one of those dudes who hide behind a perk?
