    At least at release passenger missions were pretty important to get the port bonuses

    My suggestion: delete the broken economy

    free ships for everyone, only currency is gold which you gain by doing damage and killing to AI or players and which you need to buy ship and port upgrades

    Dunno man, how can you treat braindead AI and a human player all the same? You just play fundamentally different vs them. Thats why I hope aggressive AI will never happen (again) because I cannot imagine how that is an interesting mechanic.

    With that logic please remove:

    realtime movement of ships on the map

    minimap

    player names, let people look at the flag only (gl in brawls)

    How does it not affect me if Im in a battle and enemies are coming in 4x speed to help my victim? For me it sounds pretty similar to the current system, only that you dont have different instances for fights which makes anti ganking mechancis actually even worse since battles technically stay open forever for all sides.

    You can't login to pvp AND get sick of PVE at the same time during this session. Especially if it is just one pve battle. And its not every weekend.

    Yes just one PvE battle which you have to attend to keep your most imortant port. Some more PvE battles to trigger a PB. PvE in player raids. More PvE soon if you want to go to enemy capital ...

    Now imagine you dont like PvE

    Do you loose your own stuff as well? How fast you can get back on track after loosing your equipement? Do you have to farm, build, craft to be copetitive in this game? Is this game succesfull?

    My main argument was that this game takes too much time in PvP and PvE is too repetitive and forced. Difficulty doesnt matter as long as its fun. Argue with that instead of asking questions you can google yourself in a min

  14. Voted no. People will learn hard games as long as its fun. Look at LoL (had bascially no tutorial for ages and you just go shit on for first 20 hours), Dark Souls etc...

    Also they added tutorial and retention is still bad.

    For me the game is unique because its an MMO with fun and skillful combat mechanics, while in other MMOs you just spam one spell as a blob or some boring shit.

    Instead of emphasize this uniqueness they focussed a lot more on gear and grind.

     

    Wanna do PvP? Better have 4+ hours incase you are getting retagged and retagged again. Or better gank some poor hello kittyer and maybe fire one broadside.

    Wanna do PvE? Have some coffee ready so you dont fall asleep fighting the same shit in the same scenario over and over again

    I get that devs need money to keep working on NA. Paints DLC is the best selling DLC, they could have added an ingame store so they dont have to pay steam 30% and separate the skins. So people can buy single skins for like 5 euro each or a season pass where you unlock a lot of them after certain challenges. It works in other games, why not here? They could also keep adding stuff like sail colors or whatever.

    Instead they add more and more P2W DLC ships which breaks the whole economy which is an essential part of the game. And that in a fking 40€ game...

    Also they ironically compared it to Apex Legends, a F2P game where there is a massive shitstorm for their prices and availability for free users for their new cosmetics (zero ingame advantage btw).
