  1. I've been watching Hethwill play Tempest, and I love the way the map works in that game.

Besides having a beautiful illustrated look, it would be cool to set your course, and then if enemy/ally crosses your path it would give you the option to join the open world, and then combat from there.

All the while still having the option to move completely in the open-world if you like the sailing experience.

    Just musings from a noob.

  2. I really really hope the dev team always sticks to a historical game, not sea myths or pirate fantasies. I like those kinds of stories, especially the old movies from the Golden Age.

But NOT Naval Action. Please keep it grounded in the Nelson era!

If you are to seek inspiration from a film, dear Devs, check out Damn the Defiant with Alec Guinness. It's on Amazon demand I believe.

    For starters.

  3. ....I guess the Popham code, which was used at Trafalgar, could be dug up, but then a lot of people would become very proficient in a code that is no longer used, so the educational value drops rather sharpish.

The educational value is wonderful in context. A modern code would be an anachronism; like putting an engine on the HMS Victory for "educational value".

I do love the idea of signalling our lulz, but it's only funny in the most historically accurate way possible.

  4. Dimitri, I know the Mortar Brig isn't very popular, but the sound is fantastic. Could it be possible, though not a priority, to give it some kind of sound as it goes through the air and lands?

You have this great crash as it fires, and then silence and finally a plop in the water. Also I think it should have a unique sound when striking ships. It is a 308pdr, after all.

Thank you for your great work!
