I think i might be able to facilitate in this. Do you prefer video or text?
Video would be great, thanks!

I'd love to see a tutorial on Evasive Maneuvers. Just getting established on PvP and finding it extremely difficult to counter stern rakers and sail shredders.
Video preferred.

I really really hope the dev team always sticks to a historical game, not sea myths or pirate fantasies. I like those kinds of stories, especially the old movies from the Golden Age.
But NOT Naval Action. Please keep it grounded in the Nelson era!
If you are to seek inspiration from a film, dear Devs, check out Damn the Defiant with Alec Guinness. It's on Amazon demand I believe.
For starters.

I'm really looking forward to a new, lovely map that's worthy of the period. I like the really nice script/font for the Region names.
Once the GUI and map are as gorgeous as the combat graphics, this is going to be the best looking game ever.

Very cool! It makes me realize, I wonder why there were never any clicky type sounds when using the port GUI. I guess because it is placeholder and something far different is coming?

Readying a nice bottle of Madeira for the update!

I'd love to see a more beautiful, period appropriate font for OW city/port names.
For instance, in the TV show Turn, look at how they do titles for time and place... I'll see if I can find a YouTube example.

There's a new map?

The educational value is wonderful in context. A modern code would be an anachronism; like putting an engine on the HMS Victory for "educational value".....I guess the Popham code, which was used at Trafalgar, could be dug up, but then a lot of people would become very proficient in a code that is no longer used, so the educational value drops rather sharpish.
I do love the idea of signalling our lulz, but it's only funny in the most historically accurate way possible.

Click on the slider, then use your Left and Right arrow keys. But yes, I agree about also being able to enter a number.ability to manualy enter the amount of goods we want to buy or sell in port. When there is a large amount of goods in port it's almost impossible to set the slider to the exact low amount one needs to buy/sell.

Looking forward to hearing the new sounds from the video.

I really love the idea of a port window. Just a static camera either from the docks, a tower or balcony. Or all three.

Dimitri, I know the Mortar Brig isn't very popular, but the sound is fantastic. Could it be possible, though not a priority, to give it some kind of sound as it goes through the air and lands?
You have this great crash as it fires, and then silence and finally a plop in the water. Also I think it should have a unique sound when striking ships. It is a 308pdr, after all.
Thank you for your great work!

Question:. Is the entry on Royals correct? I always thought Royals were above the topgallants.
Then again I've always been confused.

I've been watching Hethwill play Tempest, and I love the way the map works in that game.
Besides having a beautiful illustrated look, it would be cool to set your course, and then if enemy/ally crosses your path it would give you the option to join the open world, and then combat from there.
All the while still having the option to move completely in the open-world if you like the sailing experience.
Just musings from a noob.
