I thought I'd be more upset at learning all my rank/XP would be wiped, but I'm really not that upset. Some of the most fun in this game I've had was working my way up through the ranks and ships. A sadistic part of me looks forward to being forced to sail a Mercury or a Snow again. As with all things in this game, I"ve learned to not judge until the actual event happens. Try not to get upset, just roll with the flow. Stop playing til release if you need to, but give it a fair shake on release. And no, I don't have ten hours a day to play this game, I work 12 hour shifts, six days a week. I don't mind having to spend time to gain levels though, it gives the game longevity. Just my two cents.

This currency change sounds absolutely godawful. Why introduce a useless mechanic with complicated conversions and crap when what he have now works fine, and you have YET to un-kill solo players with your stupid magical reinforcement fleets zones and forts? Why not give all traders an airstrike at the beginning of each battle?

Sorry clan is just that.... sorry. They have a few good captains, but by and large it's a clan filled with zerg noobs. My clan of ten highly experienced vets would destroy 20 average sorry clan members all day, and tats just my clan. There are many more filled with highly experienced captains. If a few of us banded together and made it our goal to ruin their fun as they have ruined fun for others, they would all rage quit in a week.

Yes, you still raise hostility. I was messing around in Port Au Prince area the other night, killing ai.. hostility went up to 2.x%. After a while it went back to 0, so I attacked another A,.I.... boom, back up to 2.x%.

Solved - When I verified game files in Steam, it started the update. Just incase others experience the same thing, try validating cache, seems to force the update.

Hey guys,
Went to play some NA just now, and I am being told I have the wrong version, to restart Steam to force update. I have restarted Steam several times now to no avail, restarted my computer twice, set NA to update as High Priority.... what am I missing? I can see a few friends playing right now, so I know it's not a widespread issue.
