  1. Fuck me what a lonely little life you must lead to go and look up what clan i'm in ingame. I play with FTS because i like their company and have good fun with them. At the end of the day it's a video game i'm not too bothered about pirate nations quarrels and arguments, think its pretty pathetic really, i just play to have fun and anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see that pirate nation is more like the fucking U.N Navy than looters n pillagers.
  2. I know the supposed "ingame mechanic" for punishing Green on Green is in place. But in this instance i believe that the people Green on Greening me were deliberately trying to avoid punishment via this mechanic by mostly shooting sails and ramming (not generating much -xp but still sinking me) 3 Members of the OFF clan (all Pirate) followed me (Pirate) and one of them in a large ship (Constitution) attacked me, then his two friends in smaller fast ships (Rennomees) joined in (on my team) so that they spawned right next to me, they then used this to shoot my sails to try and let the constitution catch me, when they figured this was too slow one started shooting me with ball, whilst the other started ramming me repeatedly until i sunk from leaks yet his rams wern't showing up in the damage log, i have screenshots of him directly ramming my side repeatedly. Here's full screenshots proving that they were ramming me and shooting me sails (Which doesn't show up as high damage in the log) therefore they were deliberately trying to avoid this supposed mechanic based on damage but also hinder and sink me very fast, please pay attention to my rudder angle (trying to avoid them) and the battle chat log I made an F11 complaint against them including a screenshot of them ramming me and the damage log, however a few hours later i saw them still sailing around in the same ships apparently unpunished or anything. I sincerely hope that this "automatic team damage report" mechanic is something other than the -xp recieved for damage, as they wouldn't get much for shooting my sails out and ramming me compared to shooting at me with ball. So i make this thread with proof, showing that they speak English and that i told them that Green on Green isn't allowed, ignoring that, sinking me, then sailing around a few hours later seemingly unpunished, hoping that they receive some actual punishment for this and that i'm told what that punishment actually is. TLDR: these two green on greened and sunk me by only shooting sails and ramming me which doesnt make much -xp, then saw them sailing round hours later same rank same ships, making me skeptical of the "automatic anti green on green mechanics", so making this thread hoping that an admin will look at it and deal with them properly. [OFF] Usub = shooting my sails and shooting some ball into my hull [OFF] Pecheneg71 = deliberately avoiding shooting me (avoiding -xp etc mechanics) but ramming me repeatedly and trying to turn me into the wind The Situation Me trying to get away from Pecheneg71's ram (left ruddering) whilst he goes straight at my side Damage log of Usub chain shotting my sails Me sinking as a result of Pecheneg71 continuously ramming me (very little armour damage on me, just got sunk by being rammed) The chat log from the battle
  3. If this awful idea goes through, what do you spose will happen? you'll just have loads of Constitutions instead of loads of 3rd rates, spose you remove both? it always goes to the next best ship thats cappable.
  4. Well i join pirates as a new player because its a much more appealing looking option to start out with than most of the others, i never even tried other Nations, as i'm sure is the situation with many other pirate players. However if i or others had tried out one of the other Nations first, like GB etc. I'm sure they might find they like it.
  5. Pirate chat is mostly people organizing clans together for taking ports and defending them etc, Removing the nation chat might lessen this coordination a bit, whilst still allowing us to coordinate defences through clan chats and friends to some extent.
  6. Sorry to add to the fix pirates circle jerk just putting forward an opinion, i didn't see one of these suggestions mentioned with a quick search through forums so making a topic. This board is filled with peoples suggestions on how to fix pirates, most of which unfortunately are people trying to put forward something that would mean either nerfing the pirate faction into oblivion or removing them (Temporarily or permanently) and replacing them with another nation. This is pretty ridiculous and there are much less extreme ways to fix pirates whilst also keeping the pirate faction a viable and enjoyable option. As it stands the issue with pirates appears to be they behave like any other nation, with the same port mechanics etc. of any other nation, however they are also a very popular nation so have overwhelming numbers over others, and as such are expanding way too quickly, pirate players can also attack whoever they like, including each other and aren't as restricted as the rest of the factions. I might have misread the situation but from my perspective the issue here seems to be that pirates are way too coordinated and way too strong so rather than their presumably intended design to be a smaller, more challenging nation that is suppressed by the big powers (Great Britain, Spanish Navy, US Navy etc) . they have turned into a "Super Nation" and have taken over way too much of the map than they should be capable of. An alternative way to fix the faction, a more preferable one for pirates than being nerfed into the ground or having their ships limited to only crappy privateers etc. Could be two things. 1. Do not make the Pirate Faction joinable as a new Character (This has already been proposed by a few people and appears to be a good idea), Make it so that people must first join another, regular Nation then can only become pirate by attacking a friendly faction member, making it less appealing for players to immediately join. 2. Remove the Pirate Nation Chat, it seems kinda odd that pirates should have a communication network as good as GB, US etc, they should be far more rag-tag and divided than they actually are, by having the Pirate Nation chat it is far too easy for clans to expand are become very powerful and for these coalition type deals to be formed which makes taking ports and defending them ridiculously easy with a nation with as many players as pirates, This doesn't mean completely removing communication between pirates and clans ability to recruit and communicate with each other, there should still be Port chats for trading, clan chats and friend chats, therefore pirates would still be able to group together etc, trade at ports and all that. But also be less coordinated than the big powers in Caribbean waters. Both these seem like more reasonable suggestions than hardcore nerfing Pirates in some of the others ways people have come up with, it would make pirates more at odds with the other nations and also change them from being a Super Nation that has the same default politic system as other nations, with the added bonus that way more people join pirates than the other factions because the pirate label is cooler, to being a smaller, less coordinated less conquering faction more focused on raiding, ducking and weaving between the big factions navys etc. Just my two cents, make up your own mind on it.
  7. Not aware if the recent server maintenance downtime was to fix peoples above complaints about the disconnects from the server and huge lag spikes, but just letting you know they are continuing, quite frequent now, it's difficult to get 10 minutes of playtime without being logged out or having a massive lag spike. Have loads of screenshots of me suddenly lagging like mad at 2000+ ping if needed. Also, for me and others i know affected, we all recieve the huge lag / disconnect at the same time, despite having completely different internet connections etc. It is definitely a serverside issue.
  8. Have just done this, heres mine Connection to everything else is completely uninterrupted, my client internet is working fine and isn't lagging or dropping at all. The same scenario is happening with my friends who are also freezing and being logged out from the server after only a few minutes of playtime despite all of our internets being up and working fine. We can't make any sense of why we lose connection to the Naval Action server when our internets are ok.
  9. I and several others i have been playing with have been having the exact same issues on EU PVP 1 for the past 2 days, All of our client internet connections are fine and stable, but we are experiencing lag freeze followed by being logged out every 20~ minutes, most of us are from the UK.
