  1. We already discussed this topic years ago.

I also enjoy the game very much and really love it. For Elite:Dangerous it also seems to work fine. They offer cosmetics in the shop, something that would fit NA very well too.

Maybe it would be easier to implement ships paints as "permanent redeemables" or give limited numbers (e.g. for 2€ you get 5 "Bellona White" paints) and keep the paint slot as it is.

But when redoing the ship tables, devs could implement more than just the paint slot. They could implement future slots for banderols and pennants, colored (no, nut colorful, but maybe bright white, natural cotton, aged,...) sails (or ones with clan logo), decorative hull refits (different wood structures on the stern gallery,...) etc....

Yes I like the idea of further supporting the game with cosmetics.

I am simply suggesting a floating loot with one click from any side of the circle. All you would need to do is just get close to the loot circle and click mouse. No need to slow down, no need to pick sides and right angles.

I'd stick with the proven current system, but increase range and time.

  3. currently you can transfer your sinking friends (AI or player) to your ship and return them later as you can transfer crew to a stopped AI vessel (i only managed that once, the same problems as with looting also exist there).

Giving a wider range where to be to loot (eg. 100m radius),

a easier "point of access", where to press X to loot (now it feels you have to exactly target the cargo hatch or the middle of the hold)

and more time (either twice the time we have now or until the masts are sunk)

will make lots of people happy I guess.

  4. I'm glad, not to be the only one who is annoyed by the current state of the loot-system.

Basically I like the the new system (you can pick up repairs from sunken friends, etc.) but it is to difficult right now. A larger area and time until the masts are under water would be fine.

Thanks for your reading and your comments!

  5. Well, it is rather silent around the PvE Server.

That is because there are nearly no problems :D

But: Yes - please give us some more AI (balancing the missing players to sink).

Another idea (for future patches) would be to implement nations taking and losing some neutral ports from time to time.

Further the PvE Server could become the birthplace for a new, complex and interesting economy.

Thanks for keeping it up. I love playing here

Hey mate, I'm talking about removing the mouse when you scope. - and simply using center of scope as target.

I guess that will be fare more difficult to implement, because the mouse behaviour is partially controlled by Windows depending on fullscreen/window mode of the game. I fear it will be a troublemaker, if the mouse is off until it leaves the game-window. There are lots of games that have similar issues and e.g. if you play NA windowed (full scale on one of two or more displays), and ever tried to move the game temporarily to the other display, you'll understand. Maybe you already encountered the issue with the mouse cursor and the game beeing out of scale. Scaling and maxing the windows usually helps but sometimes ruins graphics.

But here some other things on my "tiny" wish-list:

.) ESC for no, Enter or Space key for yes. Or y/n if it interferes somehow. Taking and aborting Missions is a fine example ;)

.) OW Trade-Fleet Perk or Trade-Ship-Knowledge that allows a traders fleet to be faster in OW.

(when a perk, it could be 5% higher max speed and 50% higher min Speed for a fleet of similar vessels) (when ship knowledge it could, as a trader knowledge, apply to the fleet as well or be something like "apply all fleet ships sailing boni to the entire fleet" ...)

.) Return of the ship paints as paints, like they were.

  7. Every now and than, I write up my thoughts here.

As the year ends, I felt it was time again:

.) Paints as paints, not as ships knowledge.

.) Craft XP for everything you craft

.) Lighthouses (to find the harbour in dense fog)

.) A sextant - the protractor is great help but navigation is still incomplete)

.) A rework of the looting system. Either have a ship's boat for collection or increase radius for pickup (the new sailing model makes it really hard)

.) Sorting the warehouse bye name, category, value, etc.

.) More things to fit the captains chest (permits, notes, all papers^^)

.) Some UI improvements (I really got used to ignoring the test-ui^^)

    .) continue adding variety!

    ...

    Thanks for reading:)

  8. I can't remember if he had the clan tag before. I really don't know because that moment I didn't care.

Sometimes I don't see names and nations (e.g. it sais "Bellona", seems neutral but is a friendly Captain).

If there are logs: My Captains Name is Elgered of Thoerne, This happened @ 07-06-2016 23:00 till 23:30 on PvP1-EU

  9. unfortunately there are only two screenshots on my drive and they only show the pirates as they are. I didn't think it'd be important to take a screenshot or report before he turned out to be a pirate...

Should I send the screenshots, or post them without the names? They don't really show anything useful.

I don't want to blame and shame the pirates for tagging, which is allowed and a widely used tactic, that's why I asked if that maybe is a known bug.

I was not tagged smuggler, but was in my LeGrosVentre on my way to collect some cargo. A, at that moment, friendly Rattlesnake attakted me and tried to keep me tagged. When I entered the battle, the Rattlesnake was a pirate and had their clantag in front of his name and a pirate rank (Devil).
