[AI vs AI]

i dont know if this post should be here but anyway...

 

I don't know if there are nation standings in game.

But when you help out fellew nation ships, AI or non-AI, to be recompencated by your nation; by points, cards or supply etc

[Some ideas to spiffy it up some]

In my opinion it would be greath if the nation standings would change during time.

dutch allies with the spanish (or vasal) and later they become enemies for example.

Or could this maybe mess up the ai and make the gameplay too complicated???

[Should the weather cause open world damage]

Also forgot to say, i think the dammege to the ships should be greather closer to the shore instead of in the open sea!.

Because the chance is greather that the heavy winds and big waves would smash the ships against the rocks or reefs close to land.

Lets not forget that many ships perished that way maybe more than during storms in the open sea.

Yes! makes it more realistic.

 

But if i can suggest, ships of that time where abble to lower their masts so it would be lesser affected by bad weather or during battle.

So maybe the option to see if there is a storm comming so you can change your course in time or prepare yourself, crew and ship if you cannot avoid it.

 

What fleets also did was to tigh several ships together during storms so they had greather chance that their ships would not turn over and sank

I was wondering if the possibility to change your flag into one of anothers nation would be a good idea?!?

Because of the fact that if you have a small vessel and a big one (enemy) is crossing your path.

But this would be discovered when the enemy ship would have suspicions and come closer to inspect.

And as you are from another nation it would be difficult to speack the others language perfectly.

That would sound realistic.

 

Could also be interesting to surprise ennemies to have a biger adventage.
