Try looking at dutch ships i finf them the most buitifull of all. In game isnt a lot of choice right now... Xp

The parts are sorted nicely in several bags that worked fine.
The problem is the manual, it has a fairly good description with lots of photos. But sometimes they do not fit to the real model.
I tried to do the planking exactly like in the manual described, But ended up with a different number of planks. That made the correct positioning of the gun ports very difficult.
And at one point I found out that a working step at the beginning was changed at a later stage of building. therefore the instruction gave wrong advice, which could have lead to a construction error. Fortunately i saw that in time and could adapt to it.
im happy for you youy saw that error then.
I can see see u are a well skilled modeller.
Can i ask how long did you worked on the hms prince. or more likely how long ago did you started it?
And btw did you also made many plastic modells in your youth. ( well not that im not young anymore just over the 20's, but i started moddeling when i was like 12 or so...)

Thank you Mirones, the HMS Prince kit is nice, but it has some flaws in the documentry. At some points I had to find out that the photos of some building steps in the manual do not work on the real model parts.
That caused some problems during building. I had to improvise several times to solve them.
hadn the same thing in my kit, i guess they put in different materials and parts in diffeent boxes?

not really no time and passion. i buyed the kit in a hurry and should ahve looked for some time more so i would have ended up with a ship i love.
if anyone wants to finish or experiment on her i will send her away.

Because i would like to work on to it for a good price, because mine is almost done, just have to place the planks on the mast and rigging and its done, and i have another model but its bluenose , i am more interested in battleships

will try it soon, i can remove the brass nails and use sandpaper on hull to make it smooth so not a big problem

Yeah, best is to have a small 150g hammer and make a hole before hammering it in. But i was wondering, do u have to put nails on all the planks or do u need to reuse them for other parts? Otherwise its best to buy some metal pins with plastic top u kno what i mean they are far more eazy to handle and enter the wod more eazely.

It is casuals who ruin the game.Nothing to do with the fact if im a pirate or not, and you all know it.
if i was weaving another nation flag you all would of reacted the same way, so it doesnt add up. we are here testing the game. we all do a part of our testing reports back , and this unsportmanship behaviour isnt tolerated i would say.
Pirate,dutch,French,danish,swedish,american nor brit. we all have a code of honor and dont do ganking regardless of the fact. else i would of done my share of seal clubbing wich i wont do nor ever will do.
U think in the 17 hundreds who would be able to deploy 3 other ships out of thin air just to come help you out. You think then it was possible to go in an closed instance so nobody can join the fight?
Ok there are some abusing strategies.
But man go find yourself a group then. And be strong in numbers so you dont have to fount on ai for your victory...

U dont need to put the nails in the wood but ond the side and at an angle so the plank stays foot

What i did was to wet the planks with saliva a then bend themand glue, but they where planks of 3x1mm and 3x0,5mm so maybe with you they are 5mm wide i guess?

I think as the game should be realistic as possible... that this isnt so bad, merchant crew did surrender in the old days so quick when boaded, donT forget that they wanted to keep their lives more than their goodsYes A good idea would be the pirate receives the bonus only if he is the attacking party in a boarding action sure.
Probably an accurate representation of the effects of pirate reputation should be an adjustment made to the moral of the crew being boarded for the first round of combat. The adjustment would only be small and probably insignificant until the pirate player has levelled up in reputation. This I think would make boarding actions against lightly crewed merchants over faster and give the pirates a good but not certain chance against bigger ships than theirs with more crew, but until they gain the top levels of reputation against a fully crewed man of war with marines it would not really affect the outcome.
Remember if a pirate is getting too big for his boots in an area using his reputation as an advantage you can place a bounty on his head or get some friends together to go hunt him down and strip him of it.

And u could put the rod onto a slider/s. Combining them could be an option.
And the gun ports u can atatch strings so that they open up and close auto when cannons are turned out
