I think rank 7 also has a Surprise with a Renomme. I agree, two connies are way too hard. It is possible though. I have managed to do it if only a couple of times (in a Constitution) after many attempts. I usually end up turning tail and running. But in my opinion, at this level, a single connie would be too easy. Maybe two trincos could be an alternative? Although that wouldn't be a walk in the park either.

Yup. Great guide! Clear, concise and simple - which isn't an easy thing to do. I'll definitely be giving this link in chat for those new to the game. A suggestion, maybe make a mention that using manual sails isn't effective in non-square rigged ships. I've seen a few comments in chat about when a cutter should switch to manual sails. Nice job.
