  1. I would like more open world sandbox interaction. I want to be able to transfer stuff betwene ships at sea. I want me and my clan to be able to hide treasures on beaches of remote islands and so on, and so on.
  2. I want micro transactions for things like custom flags and ship skins. Pleeeeaaaase take my money!!! All I want in life is to customize my ships.
  3. I think the two circels is a great thing. The smal circel prohibits the cheezy gamey defensive countertagging by being so small that ships that are irrelevant are not able to be tagged. The big circle includes ships that are within sight of the battle when it happned are included but can chose to leave if they wish. You need to remember that the timescales are very different betwene the timeaccelerated ow and the battle instances. Allso there were no cell phones or radios back in the day. Taken together, that means a battle is something that should only include ships that are within sight of the battle when it starts. Unfortunately that would mean that the chance of pvp would be drastically reduced. Fewer players would have warships available in in fewer parts of the map. NOT GOOD!!!
  4. Did you know that in spring of 1801, Great Britain invaded and ockupied the swedish port town of Gustavia with only a dozen marines? Sweden was enraged and immediately sent a frigate with several dozen soldiers, all the way from european Sweden to retake it. It arrived in july the same year and quickly retook controll of the island. Great Brittain agreed to pay a large sum of money in compensation for their naughty behaviour. (Quite different from the portbattles in Naval Action, dont you think?) Did you know that during "The War Of 1812", 20% of the entire US export was transfered through the little swedish port of Gustavia? Did you know that in 1877, Sweden decided it no longer wanted the expensive toy colony and decided to hold referendum on the island. 351 inhabitants voted for "sell the island back to France", an one inhabitant voted for independence.
  5. We allso have had a sudden occurence of a fleetship refusing to retreat. It sailed bravely for half an hour with 20 crew to trade broadsides with an enemy Ingermanland instead of retreating. A workaround that works for caprured ships is to not give them enough crew to sail. Then it will just sit out its two minutes and then escape.
  6. 1. Rename the "3'rd rate" ...lets say HMS Dragon or something. 2. Rename the "Frigate" Cherubim. Whats keeping you?!? It cant be that hard of task programming. I dont mind the cutter, the brig or the "Snow". Its not that important. But now that there are other frigates and 3'rd rates it's very confusing in the heat of battle.
  7. I agree to the fact that we have an OBVIOUS problem in the that we have two big alliance blocks that will probably never change with current politics mechanics. How to go about solving that problem - I dont know whats best but something clearly needs to change. Opening up the possibilities in voting, making it less restricted by the current state of war and alliances or restrict the number of allies a nation can have to only one. The last one would make for a VERY interesting game i think.
  8. This 1.5 BR rule simply got to go. One of the worst game mechanics introduced so far. Naval Action feels yet a little more like arcade now. If I want only evenly matched, staged fights I go for World of warships or Warthunder or whatever. Is this really what Naval Action wants?!? Now people are sailing in circles across the edge of the battle cicle waiting for the join button to light up. Once an enemy joins, then I can join. And thensnother ship from each side, and then anorher. This makes for very "gamey" behavour and totally ruins strategy and open world tactics as well as any historical or realistic feel for the game.
  9. 1. Have the circle be there from the start. 2. Make the circle allmost as small as the circle of towers. 3. Ships outside the circle don't take damage. 4. Ships outside the circle dont't count towards the battle rating. 5. For a win - attacker must destroy all towers and have more than 1-1 battlerating.
  10. Let me clarify. I'm not complaining or blaiming our loss on anything being unfair. Misshaps will occur from time to time. Sweden might still be more skilled in tactics but the dutch are superior in industrial capacity and can afford to attack again and again, waiting for the swedish fleet to have these freak occurances happen all of a sudden. And then - BAM! Swedish fleet needs to be on top our game EVEY battle to stand chance and that wont happen. As yesterdays battle showed.
  11. Thats correct. Not by accident. Some of our biggest, badest ships with the most skilled captains and the port battle commander got dragged in though. We had to make a split second decision. 1. Leaving them in the external battle to fend for themselves (getting sunk) and have the rest of the reduced port battle fleet join the port battle imideatly as planned under ad hoc leadeship. 2. Sending everyone still not in the port battle, or the external battle, into the external battle to help finish it off quickly and then join the port battle late, together, everyone. The decision had to be made quickly. You only have 2 min's to join the external battle and it takes 90sec for the cool downs after you leave the port. That gives you 30 sec's to make up your mind. Just getting to grip with the situation and communicating it over teamspeak took over 20 of those 30 seconds. The commanding officer of the day was fortunately an extremely cool Finish guy with big enough balls and calm nerves to make that decision without hesitating. He chose no.2. Resulting in some people having allready joined the port battle and the rest joining the external battle. We hoped we would get the big boys out of the accidental external battle and into the port battle in time to win the port battle. We didn't. Noone blames the commanding officer for making the decision he made. We are all fully confident in his capabilities. It might have gone another way had he made another decision. We will never know. It was an accident and we did the best we could. Not even the guy in the cutter is getting any hate. He made a misstake. You live, you learn. We have now evaluated the situation and improved our communication and organisation further and we are now an even more effective fighting force than before.
  12. They set their timer to 04-06 and then complain that we attack early in the morning. This must be the funniest post on the forum so far.
  13. I'm inocent. I sunk some Frigates and set fire to a Constitution. No Victorys.
