Actually, I found the same site Westvriesland (nowadays province north Holland) was an admirality these days, and a ship name. Only three-decker model preserved from those days (around 15 Dutch three-deckers were built) Might be the unie or the Vrijheid though! Gonna try to search for plans!

Perhaps anyone can help me identify this Dutch threedecker model ? So we can search for her plans ? might be Westvriesland or De Unie or De Vrijheid ?

Okay, didn't know that ! Most of the ships I saw in youtube etc are from 1750 - younger, but this is great news for me ,since the Dutch built beautiful ships in the time before that ! Anyways, passed 1700 the Dutch built also great ships, but most of those ships are forgotten ... I also are looking for paintings/drawings from the Middelburg 1699 (one of the largest dutch ships (180ft) in that era, that never left the harbor due to insufficient fund to equip it ! ) And I am unable to find paintings/drawings from the Eendragt 100/106 (1703) Wich is classified as 1th Rate ship of the Line (wich is rare for Dutch standards due to shallow home waters) The Admiraal Evertsen also is a beauty !

De Ruyter definatly was one of The greatest, also entitled Bestevaer, meaning hé was beloved by his crew. This title was also carried by Piet Heijn. The only one ever to return with a Spanish Silver Train, the biggest treasure ever! (The Dutch were thanks to that able to finance the war vs Spain!) In my opinion Piet Heijn also belongs in top ranks as Admiral!

I know quite a lot about The Dutch ship development inbetween 1600-1799! Perhaps for example, De Middelburg, one of The largests three-deckers never left the harbor,too expensive to equip!
