A few sml suggestions

1. How about being able to identify ports by double-clicking on them (like hailing a ship). It should not be necessary to sail so close to a port to identify it - this would also mean that the huge floating labels above the ports could go

 

2. I'm noticed the function keys used to lock gun decks is in the opposite direction to the gun deck numbers in the interface. ie. deck 1 is locked with F2 and deck 2 is locked with F1 - this is counter-intuitive

 

3. How about adding the time (perhaps as a popup box) to chat messages - to avoid responding to messages that were sent a long time ago 

 

4. How about having NPC shipping agents in outposts who are authorised to sell captured ships without the player having to visit that port? They could charge 20% or something
