I was experimenting with different designs dating back to 1907 right in the transition from the pre-dread to dreadnought era when I realized how unrealistic the ACs of that era are in the game.

When we take for example the last armored cruisers launched like the Edgar Quinet class or the Duke of Edinburght class, they have a much larger armament than what we can have in the game (14 cannon of 194 mm for the Edgar Quinet by example). It would therefore be wise to have a smoother transition between first generation armored cruisers and the battle cruisers that appear later as well as a better distinction between protected cruiser and armored cruiser because even cruisers like those of the Cressy class have a weaponry much heavier than what can be obtained in the game.

For that it would be necessary to review the maximum armament of the casemates of the CA which is limited to 127mm (5in) and to have more hull available to allow simple wing turrets of medium/hight caliber.

What do you think of this do you have any suggestions ?

Ps: Sorry for my english it's mainly google trad

This just once again shows that we need a rework of how hulls work and editor in general, yep.
You have this problem, because you don't have a generic "cruiser" to arm and equip as you need, but you have a (crude) copy of some certain ship, already configured to have what that prototype ship had, and all you can do is recreate that particular ship (which is in most cases impossible due to crude model).
