Edge
The most advanced hull design for the Montana-class US battleships was even more streamlined than the preceding Iowa-class. Scheme 8 of the Montana's was 1,050 feet long and had a beam of 120 feet, both at the waterline. That makes for a length-to-beam ratio of 8.75:1 and the designers believed it could keep pace with the Iowa's at 33 knots. For reference, the Iowa's were 7.96, the Yamato's were 6.56, the Bismarck's were 6.72, and the Vanguard was 7.54. Does the US super battleship follow this long and narrow design? If not, are there any plans to add it in the future as a hull option?
akd
If you increase the displacement of US Modern Battleship II (I assume this is based on Iowa) above 76,000t, you add length without changing anything else, so pretty similar to Montana.
