Tagging an AI Trader, to avoid being tagged, by other players

Recommended Posts

Just wondering...

When a pirate, who is close to being attacked by enemy players, tags an AI trader, to escape the battle with the players.

We joined the battle, on the traders side, but the pirate ofc, had a head start, so he could stay out of range, and stay there by just keep sailing away, and then uses the known "excuse" .. "I have to go eat" and just stay inside the battle and battle screen afterwards, to keep avoiding a fight.

We see this pattern many times, more or less each day, from different pirate clans, this time, it was a member of SORRY, and if this, is not an exploit of game mechanics, then what is?

the end BS thing is over talked about and the tag is just someone being smart enough to out smart someone and get out of a gank. The tag before you get tagged has been around for a long time and is nothing new. If you really want a exploit wait till you get tagged jump into port then come back out before the timer ends from the tag you jumped into port to avoid and still get pulled into battle. Then you can scream bloody murder about and exploit

This is not a tribunal issue.  Tagging another OW fleet in order to avoid a heavier fleet is a valid tactic under current rules of engagement.  If that is an issue, a thread can be opened in the Suggestions (if you have an idea of how to fix it) or General Discussions section (if you want to debate the merits or demerits of this mechanic).

As this is not a tribunal issue, and as this is not the appropriate place for such a discussion, this thread is locked.
