Yesterday's Piritu port battle.

25 Dutchies: 1 74, 1 Consti, frigates

25 Frenchies: 3 74, 2 Consti, 6 Trinco, frigates

1.3 BR difference for the frogs at start, 1 after the towers are down (5 french vessels taken out of combat). The 2 fleets start a downwind line-fight, which the Ducth try to break on 2 occasions, attempting rear charges which are answered by the frogs in snake moves, repositioning the fleets.

When the first 3 Dutch vessels are sunk or leave the battle heavily damaged, the French fleet turns towards the enemy line for a full charge in shoulder formation. The Dutch line winds round the leeward French vessels, but the rear is cut and takes heavy fire, forcing 3 more gouda-carriers out of the fight. The frogs then tack away from the Dutch, reform a line, and the final charge order is given. The retreat signal is sent on the Ducth side, and after chasing the last dispersed vessels, the French fleet claims victory on the port of Piritu.

GF guys !
