    First off thanks NnC for the kind words.

    I am torn with NA, I want to come back, more coz sailing with Armed was fun, drop, paladin, wacko etc etc, top blokes, pretty much the whole clan. And of course the broader community, many friends made.

    But 8pm shutdown...leaves no time between coming home from work or after restart to do anything particularly solid.

    I tried being a weekend warrior...but always felt a bit of a tag-a-long.

    I tell myself I will be back. But its a game that needs a good block of time to get the most out of...and it simply doesn't fit right now.

    So I am waiting for a fuller release, I mean shutdown every day shouldn't even be a thing....economy/port turnovers should just happen realtime..then one shutdown per week or somesuch.

    Anyhow...I do miss my NA and those I played with...but can't fit into life....needs a lotto win.

    Having returned home from my Global journeys the King was a bit of a royal grumpy monkey that I have stopped producing L2tK. He has sentenced me to eat and drink my own body weight in Christmas Fare, top surgeons have estimated this will take 2-3 weeks. Then I will be dispatched back to the Caribbean with quill in hand and all the well balanced reporting a one eyed man can do !

    You opened ALL dock expansions on Caribbean (spending 9 mln more). So yes you are 9 mln short because you spend them on more things than you had on global :) 

     

    Eeeep well thanks for checking....I had 19 ships to redeem, I suspect I forgot about the 2 aggies and assumed I was just upgrading to the same level.

    All good my bad and may Santa be kind to the Dev's.

    Right then...looks like I need to go earn some money.

    If you are starting this thread the error was mine : I had 19 ships to redeem, so I just expanded my docks till I could....and that was a 5/5 expansion blowing an extra NINE MILLION (little finger in side of mouth) spondoolays than I had spent over on Global...may she rest in piece.

    o7 lovely Dev peeps.

    Started the 'great' redeem and very excited to play on the one server to rule them all.

    I had about 4.7 million before the merge, had a max dock space, almost maxed my storage out and had ALL port permits bought and all 5 buldings level 5.

    After opening one port, making enough space for my ships and building 5 level one buildings I have less than 2 million left.

    So I am about 6 million by my reckoning short. As well as the mats to recreate shipyards, workshops etc.  What you do with my money !!

    And...Merry Christmas.

    @Sir Texas Sir that duel was against the right honourable Olav Deng.

    Ping effects 3 things, Raking, Mast Sniping and Boarding. However in general this is one of the most forgiving games for ping.

    Boarding using a cooldown on skills would be the only alternative (well maybe not the only...you could force both players to the same ping !!)

    I look forward to any new system, not so much because of my ping, its the cost of living in the most beautiful country in the world....but because the system seems to 'jar' with the rest of the game, both in style and look

    Our 'try to find times' where most of us can die gloriously will also apply to AIB if they want it, I am sure at the weekend AIB can come with as many allies as they want and meet us in mucho biffo (I think thats Portuguese). I too hope they don't 'give up'. Find someone who can chat to them.

    VSCO Challenges GA to a 5v5

    For those in the Brit nation who may not be overly informed.

    GA actively support and send timber in the hands of skilled captains to their Brit allies. They (along with other Brit Clans) not only help in the pre/battle/post battle but they also assist captains who have lost their ships to get replacements, to 'go again'.

    Earlier this week an Armed port (Jeremie) was attacked at 'noon' Aussie time on a Tuesday (the sacred day of work here in Australia) by Pirate Clan AIB. This is fine its Global...it does open the door for reprisals (that is all done and dusted) but I need to do a MAJOR tip of the hat to GA (and CKA) who turned up along with a couple of ARMED lads and valiantly defended (wrecking the enemy fleet) the Port.

    I also tip my hat to the Blood/Black lads who didn't pile in on this as Armed and Blood/Black love to bash each other (witness the Carnage at Carta) but try to do so in times that mean the maximum number of us can die a glorious death.

    So there can be as much a feud between VCSO (shame) and GA as there is. I whole heartily support such a feud and wish both sides much violence, mayhem and PvP.

    However any accusation GA don't assist their Brit comrades, based purely on my own eyeball witness (and listening to some of them as they jump on TS at 5AM) is scurrilous #FakeNews.

    Yesterday was great fun, great 'map' for a battle Carteghena as there as so many different options for different winds.

    Well played rats. For me that was Global at its best. We had Aussies, Brits, Euro's, Yanks and many more ALL bashing on each other. Great fun...and in my case, well worth the ship.

    So many if/buts and maybes...but in the end, the Pirates did their job well. Generally well natured chit chat back and fro....

    Cya next time.

    The rewards for raising hostility easily cover the cost of death.

    VCO Takes the Black!

    They can't be that bad, we have a player in our clan, who pre-patch would make easily a million a day, trading, with no alts and no silly amount of life destroying hours in the game....he just learned the best routes, when to run them...and when not to !
