  1. Torpedo Avoidance is kinda buggy anyway, I've noticed my ships sometimes sail off to who knows where after evading torpedoes instead of returning to formation.
  2. I did know what I was doing when I clicked the beta thing, and as long as the game gives me plenty of small scale-engagements, I'm gonna stick with it since the other added things are a fun time and very useful. Tried deselecting ships in a small engagement, seems to work. What a weird issue. Why is the UI real-time now, anyway? Wouldn't it be sufficient to update things like hit chance only every second or so?
  3. Is everyone seriously getting this? I've been told that it's known, but it's honestly a bit ridiculous. I get SPF, not FPS. The enemy fleet isn't even that big! 1 BB, 2 CA, 7 CL, 9 DD, 8 TB I believe. In the stable version, I would get a smooth 60 FPS throughout even at 5x speed. This is also not an isolated instance, every battle that includes more than 10 or so armed ships gets like this. Edit: It appears related to distance, as as soon as the closing DD was sunk, the framerate increased to 10 to 20-ish with short lag spikes.
  4. Two more things I've noticed: -When you have a division following another, you cannot change the speed of the division being followed. -Torpedo Evasion is super broken and ships often get stuck evading, leading them to sail ridiculously far away until you disable the function.
  5. Pretty much. In lieu of accurate guns, I've started to just target whatever is behind the ship I wanna shoot at. It's cheese but sadly the only way to really do any damage a lot of the time. It also tends to be how my screen ships die, as they seemingly enjoy cuddling a lot more than they enjoy actually staying alive for more than 30 seconds.
  6. Ouch, no wonder it gets real, real bad when I encounter fleets with 40+ TBs. Hopefully this gets fixed soon, it's honestly borderline unplayable sometimes.
  7. I'm kinda curious, does anyone else have massive frame rate drops in battles? Especially when ships are retargeting.
  8. I just had a very strange occurance, and am wondering if anyone has had similar occurrances? Situation as follows: I am Germany, I am at war with France. However, I am allied to Austria-Hungary and Britain. Britain is allied to France. Austria-Hungary declares war on Britain. I am at war with France alongside Austria-Hungary - yet my alliance with Britain brings me into a war against Austria-Hungary alongside France. I can no longer fight French ships, yet they still show as red on the map. I can however fight Austro-Hungarian ships, which show as white on the map and in the battle results are on my allies' side. We seem to now have 2 wars ongoing which conflict with each other: Germany, Austria-Hungary VS. France /// Germany, France, Britain VS. Austria-Hungary I was just forced to sign a peace treaty with France. This ended the first war and took me and France out of the second, but didn't end the war between Austria-Hungary and Britain. All I can imagine is that the alliance system got confused when it attempted to put me into both sides of the war, leading to the victory points of the second war to be counted for the first.
  9. I just tried to design a few ships with this hull, and honestly it's basically impossible to get the pitching under control. The best I got was like 35% pitch, because the hull already starts with between 20% and 30% pitch without any components. Auto-design was even worse, I got >80% pitch and roll on some attempts.
  10. I've done a bit more testing in regards to the vertically offset hitboxes: I haven't had it happen in custom battles yet. (Needs more testing) It seems unaffected by weather, I've have had it happen around all times of day and weathers. (May need more testing) It is reproducible with varying degrees of offset when repeatedly restarting an already generated campaign mission. It happens to both manual and autogenerated designs. It seems unrelated to old campaign save files. I've deleted my entire AppData/LocalLow/Game Labs folder and created a new campaign, but the bug reappeared. It seems to affect predominantly small hulls for me, TBs, DDs, CLs, TRs. TBs and DDs seem affected most often though. (May vary for others) It can affect ships of the same class in the same battle differently. Some will be fine, some offset to varying degrees up or down. As for how it manifests: The clickable box is offset from the visual model, it also often cannot be selected via click-drag box. When sufficiently offset, the affected ship is immune to torpedoes. Torpedoes fired by the affected ship can hit non-offset ships just fine. Should the offset be enough, the ship cannot ram or be rammed by any ship that isn't similarly offset. All elements tied to the hitbox are offset, such as smoke, visual shellfire directed at the affected ship, and seemingly certain UI elements like structure/float bars, designation, name, and range indicators.
  11. I've now looked at roughly where the clickable hitboxes seem to be for my destroyers, here they are. Evidently, quite a bit below the surface. As one can see here, the torpedo simpy passed through the destroyer, as it never hit the submerged hitbox.
  12. I noticed that ships seem to be inconsistently positioned vertically. This light cruiser of mine has its name and health/float bars sunk into the ship itself, and I can only click-select it directly if I click a significant distance below it. The affected ships are also completely immune to torpedoes and unrammable, as the hitboxes simply never intersect due to their height difference. This has so far only happened to my (German) destroyers and light cruisers, and some enemy (French and British) destroyers. My ships' hulls: Light cruiser III with 4% beam 12.4% draught / Large Torpedo Boat with 4% beam 8% draught
  13. Oddly enough, for some reason my game sometimes just gets stuck in the campaign when trying to process a turn. I basically always start at 1900, as Germany, on normal difficulty, and with random personalities. The issue happens most often when I've knocked the UK out of the war and manifests as the game getting stuck on 'Updating Relationships'. I've also had it get stuck on 'Updating Ships' before, but that happened when the French decided it'd be a good idea to have like 50 heavy cruisers and not much else.
