  1. Any ideas on why I have transport losses even though I am not at war and a GDP that has stayed negative even a year after war has ended? Seem to recall these going away after a long period of peace.
  2. I'd like to thank the devs for fixing the battles, now the AI tries to fight properly. I'd also, once again, like to bring up the issue of submarines being a huge detriment to this game. They aren't adding anything other than frustration. I understand they were implemented so that we had to build our ships taking their threat into account, but when you escort a BB with 4 CL and 6 DD with the most modern ASW available, with ships having ASW ratings over 1500 each, and they STILL can't detect submarines from 1920, and get sunk, something is off. I can't even send a TF to attack an enemy without saving 100 times beforehand and hoping that my one or 2 capitol ships don't get sunk and hand the war to the enemy in VP. Please, give us the option to turn subs off, or figure out a way to weigh our escorts to counter them better than it is.
  3. So, any reason submarines aren't either removed or optional yet? They break the game when they randomly sink one of your BB's and give the enemy 60,000VP, even though said BB had heavy ASW escorts and maxed torpedo protection. A few patches ago subs were a nuisance, now they are OP again. No one wants to click a bunch of random screens with our fingers crossed. Multiple people have asked for this for a long time, please listen to us. Subs add nothing but frustration and aggravation to the game. It is not Ultimate Admiral Submarines.
  4. I've also noticed the AI keeps very small fleet sizes. There's almost no fleets to fight, I've hardly sunk anything. Reading the log, it seems the AI scraps almost every capital ship before it is completed, or shortly thereafter. Playing as the US in a 1920 campaign, and it's now 1938, Russia has a total tonnage of 18,000, Japan 5500, Italy 65,000, China at 100,000, Austria is at 150,000. Britain is almost at a million tons, and Germany is right at 450,000. Britain is my eternal ally, and Germany only has one capital ship. PS Make Subs and Mines individually optional.
  5. Confirmed the armor quality is a UI issue, as Cryadis said, you have to mess around with pointer position and click around for a while. Also noticed the same issue while deploying ships or subs, clicking directly on the name doesn't work, but moving to the left or right does.
  6. Oh, if true that sucks. Perhaps instead of penalizing the player, the AI should be tweaked to use the best armor availible? I hope it gets reverted in the next patch.
  7. I already submitted a bug report in-game, but wanted to mention it here as well. Doing a 1920 German campaign, and I'm unable to focus research on Armor Quality. Every other area seems to work as intended.
  8. Is it just me or has the game become totally ignorant of task forces? No matter what size force I assemble, they never can find battle, unless, of course, it's being attacked by a submarine that isn't even on the map? I've been chasing down an enemy for 4 or 5 turns only to have them show up outside my port, then get the ships in port thrown into a battle completely ignoring my TF. The only way to get any task force a battle is if you send out your subs, then they generate an encounter every single turn.
  9. If an enemy is reduced to only having submarines, how is one supposed to score meaningful VP against them? Shouldn't they be blockaded immediately or invaded? In my campaign, 1945 China has no surface ships, but 52 Submarines.
  10. A few things on the most recent patch Submarines are still broken, they are way to strong for the AI. They sink full ASW DD's like nothing, yet my subs are completely useless, despite being more advanced. Results are still much to drastic, I lost 2 BCs being escorted by 6 DD's and 6000VP to an enemy who has no ships, and no realistic way for me to regain VP. Please, just remove submarines already, they literally add nothing to the game. Clicking "Auto-Resolve" is about as much fun as watching paint dry, and even more infuriating when properly escorted ships are sunk. Peace Treaties. If I'm winning a war, and the enemy advocates for peace, why on earth should I pay reparations? Land Invasions After pushing back a land invasion, the same invasion starts again on the next turn.
  11. So... I've been at war with France as Germany, and only France, for a long time, at least 5 years. My Army was invading Northern France, and had advanced 93%, I had them blockaded and about 63,000VP to their 600, and had constantly been denying their requests for peace. Suddenly, I'm not at war with them any longer. No reparations, no cash, no new territory. I could understand it if they were simply an ally of my enemy, but this is a little odd.
  12. Is a failed naval invasion supposed to give the enemy 14,000 VP? Just had one fail against Russia, and now they have 14000 VP to my 1000, and of course, my whiny little government wants to negotiate peace, meanwhile, having 62,000VP against Britain's 3000 and even after agreeing to negotiate, they fight on.
  13. Playing as the US in 1920, haven't been at war yet or had a single battle, yet my Army invaded and conquered Western Mexico by 1921. I mean, I'm not complaining, I'll take the extra oil 😄
  14. Seems almost pointless to build BB's anymore, their entire viability is being able to outrange other ships with their main guns. Even with maxed out crews, rangefinders, radar and MKV guns, they struggle to hit anything 1km away. For some reason, they continually forget their firing solutions on targets who are not maneuvering while staying at a steady cruise speed themselves. Once "aimed", they should stay that way unless something drastic occurs, and even then, advanced radar should negate that. I literally debated ramming a CA in 1935 after failing to hit it from 20km out for over 100 salvos. Gonna have to skip testing for now until another patch comes out.
