  1. It appears the Campaign has no save feature. I've lost two campaigns so far, once when I had a power failure to my neighborhood, and once when Microsoft forced a restart of my computer after a forced upgrade.
  2. So, the question remains: Where is the save feature in the Campaign? I have a feeling, there is no save feature in the campaign. If that is so, a save feature needs to be added, like every time you hit the "End Month" button as a minimum. A save at any time during a battle would also be nice to have. Many of us, do not play this game 12 hours every day. Myself, I'm lucky if I get an hour or a hour and a half every evening to play. With out this save feature, no one will be willing to seriously play the campaign, as you can not shutdown or restart your computer without losing everything. Right now I have a Microsoft Windows 10 Update that is demanding a restart, and I have to manually reset the restart too late the next day to prevent losing the 1900 campaign I'm now playing. If I forget to reset the restart time, and the computer automatically reboots, I'll lose 7 months of my current 1900 campaign.
  3. No, it was the computer shutting down suddenly on the 10th, that lost the inprogress campaign. I started a new campaign on the 12th, and I'm currently in April 1890. If the save feature still is working, I can not find how to access the save while in a compaige. Please list the steps and where to look for the save feature in the campaign. Save does not work as it did in the custom battles.
  4. Surprised there has been no response from anyone. Thus I must be correct, there is no save feature on the campaign. If so, that needs to be corrected ASAP with a patch. Expecting people to invest many, many hours in a compain, that can be lost with a power failure shutting down your computer, is asking a lot of us players by the game developers.
  5. Was playing the stock 1890 campaign game, made it to November 1890 doing well as the Germans, having lost only 1 CL and 2 TB so far. Was in the early stages of a "Naval Battle" and had the game on pause, and the screen collapsed overnight. While I was sleeping, we has a total power failure to my housing development, when a DUI hit a power pole at the back entrance to the subdivision. The power was out for about three hours according to our local power company. The UPS worked, but the battery died after 40 minutes or so. Next morning I fired up the computer, and when I got back to the Campaign Game that evening, the in progress Campaign Game was totally gone. When starting Admirals back up, it did down load a number of patches. So, it appears there is no "auto save" for the Campaign Game, and I could find no way to manually save the game. So, I'm now out of almost two weeks of playing the game. How do I prevent losing the game again? I only lost 10 months this time, but I would really be upset if I had just lost many years.
  6. I repeatedly assign targets to ships in my formations, and they almost always shift fire onto "easy" targets. Example, last evening I was fooling around with a custom scenario, Japanese vs Russians in 1905, each side had three battleships and three armored cruisers (heavy cruisers). I was playing the Japanese side, and my battleships kept repeatedly switching fire to the cruisers, away from the designated targets, the battleships. I had a line of battle, the three battleships followed by the three cruisers. The Russians had two formations, the three battleships in a line; with one cruiser on the engaged side and two on the unengaged side. Both sides were well outside torpedo range on more or less parallel tracks, and at first all my ships kept switching fire to the near cruiser until it was smothered in hits and sunk by structural damage; once it sank all six of my ships kept switching fire to the trailing cruiser on the unengaged side, sank it and then moved to the surviving cruiser. Once the cruisers were gone, all six of my ships started on the trailing Russian Battleship, and worked their way up the line. I was repeatedly reassigning fire of my ships to the targets I wanted them to be firing upon, and they kept switching fire to other targets. While this was all going on, my lead battleship was beat into near wreckage, and I had to detach it and have it retreat in order to save it. Then the surviving Russian ships started concentrating on my new lead battleship. I eventually finished off the two remaining Russian battleships by getting into torpedo range and hitting the two survivors with multiple torpedos. Just why are the ships not staying locked on and and firing on, the enemy ships I designate them to fire upon?
  7. You might be experiencing a similar problem, that I was having with Microsoft's "Plays". When I stared Admirals, it would start up normally for about 10 t0 15 seconds, then it would switch me to a user verification screen, that was totally locked up. Since I do not use Plays, I disabled it, and have not had any startup problems since. Check to see if you have any games loaded on your computer that have startup icons hidden on the lowest icon bar at the bottom of your screen, look on the bottom left for what looks like an "up arrow", hover over it and is should say "show hidden icons". Left click to show all hidden icons. Close any hidden game start icons you find there that have anything to do with Steam.
  8. Finally was able to get the screen save image. It is definitely Microsoft's "Plays" that is causing the problem. If the plays icon shows in the hidden icons tab at the lower left corner of the screen, you will likely get this screen. Thus, make sure the "Plays" icon is disabled before to attempt to start the game. Gregg
  9. I found the issue, it is Microsoft's "Plays". Plays must think Admirals is a game in their system. I disabled Plays, and Admirals is once again working.
  10. After getting the game to work for a few weeks, it has gone right back to going to a page that says: One more step Please complete the security check to access medal.tv Exactly what is "medal.tv". Again, why do I have to complete a CAPTCHA? Besides, the scree with the above stuff is locked up, there in effect is no CAPTCHA to complete. The screen shot I get is of the custom game start up I was working on before it switched to the CAPTCHA screen, I'm unable to get an image of the CAPTCHA screen. Finally, there is no hidden Admirals Icon, in the bottom left corner of the screen.
  11. I like this game so far. But there is one tremendous draw back for me, that is the lack of a save feature for a game in progress. I seldom have the time to select a scenario, build the ship, launch the game and then complete the game. I'm frequently forced to quit the game, and abandon everything, and this is becoming very annoying. Additionally, the game when running, ties up the entire computer; forcing me to have to quite the game in progress, to do some other more important task with the computer. Having a "Save Game in Progress" feature would be very nice to have.
  12. Yes, I found a hidden icon in the "show hidden icons" located at the bottom right corner of the screen. I closed it, and I was able to get into the game. Any idea why that crazy reCAPTCHA pops up every so often?
  13. Just starting this evening, when I click on the Ultimate Admiral shortcut on my desktop, I get this "Error: Another instance of Launcher Client already exists!" What can I do to get past this error message? As of right now, I'm locked out of the game. Also, why do I often get a reCAPTCHA when launching the game from the shortcut? The reCAPTCHA page is always frozen, and totally inactive. I can get off the page by hitting Control-Alt-Delete, but after getting back to the game start page, the reCAPTCHA will often come back, in a frozen state.
