  1. Admittedly, playing as the monitor was incredible fun. But there was an issue when playing as the Virginia-esque ship (No chance of actually killing the monitors due to their magic anti-flooding measures)
  2. I fully agree with the sentiment above, especially when it comes to the new CLs. Good luck getting torpedoes on the broadside if you want anything like a continuous superstructure. Hell, some hulls can't even fit the second tower model. Another thing I'd like to add is: Since CLs and CAs are distributed slightly differently (And the identification of CL vs. CA is not in accordance to the London treaties anyways), I'd suggest adding 8" guns to CL hulls, along with improving the potential armor to 6" maximum (Otherwise even DD-caliber guns can easily penetrate the main belt). This could go along with letting DDs mount twin 6" guns (Kriegsmarine and Marine Nationale had 6" and 5.5" weapons respectively) Anyways, great work on the models, but my other thought is that there should be a full flush deck variant of many of the ships in the game to help with building (Along with the additions of mounts for the bridge farther back on many models, especially the modern IJN ones. Plus, the fact US modern BCs can not mount 5" guns due to scaled-down bridges is quite saddening. But that is for me ranting about the improvements I'd like to see, keep up the great work. I've been having a lot of fun in the game so far.
  3. Well, I just got the chase problem again. I was chasing a BB with my speed being around about 3kts faster than the enemy... Who started running at 70% Hull HP. Despite me trying everything-even HE to crack open his can, I couldn't damage him until I closed to around 3km (After a good hour of chasing). Even then the ship stubbornly refused to budge even a little, rendering my AP shells useless. Could there be some wear-and-tear mechanic as large shells hit certain areas? I finished a 3h mission only 5 minutes before a timer ran out due to a slower, less powerfuls ship I had as an objective simply refusing to slow down even when 14" HE and AP was raining on her stern.
  4. Most of what should be added has been said, but here are some of my points from the less obscure side: Newer CL and DD hulls. Currently we don't have anything past 1900's for CLs and 1920's for DDs (The displacement allows to go large, but you won't be able to get a Fletcher or Le Fantasque going with how they are built) DDs able to mount up to twin 6" guns maybe? (I am thinking of French and German DDs from WWII) Turret sizes varying based on number of guns in a turret and caliber (I should be able to place a twin 16" where I can place a triple 14". Currently my most used calibre is the 14" because it still fits on the medium-sized barbette). To add to that, maybe let us customize sizes of barbettes fully? (Plus let us PLEASE place barbettes wherever we want, I'd love to create superfiring secondaries) Turret arc calculations taking barrels and ghost parts of superstructures into account. This is especially annoying on larger ships where it is obvious you should be able to get better angles Hull building similar to what is shown on Steam? I would love to be able to have the deck higher section extend farther on some BBs. This is a customization option which could even affect seaworthiness. Shell travel times-Shells are far too slow in most cases (Taking a minute to reach a target 30km away is bordering on insanity when muzzle speeds are taken into account). Let us define barrel lenghts for them too. Torpedoes: Manually firing, or selecting the number of fired torpedoes should be a thing. I can't count the number of times my DD dumped 15 torps at a BB when only 5 would have sufficed. with the reload, saving them would be an incredibly good idea. And last but not least: Stick side-mounted and centerline main guns into ONE GROUP per caliber. This one is hard to ignore on ships where you have very few centerline, or side-mounted guns (As in that case the lesser number makes locking on targets take a very long time)
  5. Ram, sorry for me not following the entire conversation. The radar getting knocked out and North Cape was a crucial part of the battle though, because afterwards Scharnhorst couldn't see the trap laid out for her. That's what I was following as the logic. Another part I have to mention about the current patch is how some shell impacts can have remarkably strecched textures after impacts. A minor thing, but the impacts are applied as planar seemingly, which causes this.
  6. Norfolk getting Scharnhorst's radar. One instance. It impairs the accuracy heavily and blinds ships in adverse weather
  7. Request for free placing for bridges and barbetter. It is extremely difficult to get use of some hulls, as well as making some unconventional designs. just try making an Amagi-style BC with the JP modern battlecruiser hull....
  8. One thing I desperately miss is turret barbettes having sizes to fit certain turret wells. Problem is, you need huge barbettes for even twin 15" guns, severely limiting you. So a procedural size increase for barbettes, with types having a range of sizes for different calibres. As forplacements... PLEASE remove the limited points. Instead, mark areas where you can place the parts.
  9. Feedback for the modern battleship mission: If using the maximum hull length, the superstructure placement may become an issue due to how it allows you to place the turrets. Plus the huge superimposed barbette has some interesting interactions with the main tower. So far I absolutely love the game!
  10. Question: I have recently purchased the game and from what I am seeing I am very happy with it. But will we ever get 4-gun turrets? Examples are to be found in French design, King George V, Project 17 (US Navy), planned Edinburgh-subclass refits. Additionally, maybe differentiate turret sizes based on how many guns are in one turret? I have been tempted by adding a single 11 inch gun to one of my ships until I realised I could get a twin in practically the same space. Anyways, cheers! I am very satisfied with the game
