While the wipe saddens me there seems little one can do against it. I believe that an XP wipe will not have the desired effect of giving everyone a level playing field. Veteran players who know what they are doing will rise through the first ranks quickly enough and will be in an advantageous position above new players anyway. All this will do is clutter the capital/newbie areas with griefing veterans who will farm new players to get that next rank a little bit quicker. However, what I really want to critizise at this point is the lack of information. I understand that with release being this close, the development team will be in a frantic state of grooming and fixing but please, at the very least keep the first forum post updated. To get any kind of current information from an official side I had to read my way through the 32 pages of this topic and I really don't want to do that again. Is there a official release date or a planned timeframe? What will be wiped? What will be kept? If our xp will be reset, will we be able to change our nation? Will the wipe only include the pvp server? If so, will players get a chance to move their skilled characters to the pve server? The first post states that we retain our seaworthy assets. Is this still true? Will I log in after release to find that while my rank ist gone, all my ships are still present? While I am aware that many of the above questions have already been answered I would ask for a more definite post by the product owners to get us out of this state of guessing and waiting. Thank you.
