    Hunters also made revenge fleets for other hunters, it's not about capitals or major ports. Everyone has friends that he can call for help to "camp" the battle. 

    Wonder why? Just look at the changes that a certain tiny crowd keeps demanding.

    Since noobs learned to pick determined defender I guess that one may be removed again soon. But for the socalled self proclaimed hardcore PvPers a fight with 1-2 with a couple of AIs on their side vs a PvE fitted player is what they think is the perfect game. No wonder why the server is bleeding players like crazy.

    Something like 1/3rd of the entire server population are alts at this time that either fish for bottles or do AFK trading if they are out of port at all.

    Being able to singlehanded run away from 10+ other players or even defeat them in battle is more unrealistic.

    I find it funny how your friends quit due to that, have you ever thought about how many on the "other side" have quit due to people like you want a Hello Kitty ultra Carebear deluxe experience?

    So you ask for a free get out of jail card. In short, easy mode.

    You selected to kill someone in their reinforcement zone or close to it. Easy target, yet you don't want the trouble that follows.

  4. The problem is much deeper than just 1st rates. Its the entire fleet composition.

    Even if we got the inflation hit 1st rates stopped, it would just move down. 25 bucs etc instead of 25 oceans.

    Maybe the battles themselves should be limited in slot types, PBs also reworked. Say a battle could only contain 2 first rates from each side, maybe 3 or 4 2nd rates and so on. 3rd 1st rate trying to join the battle gets left outside.

    Now is it? We can see the demast/turn and board group isn't doing so well. If boarding wasn't so stupid and overpowered we could maybe talk about it.

    We have captured countless 1st rates via boarding from smaller ship and it´s not much of a skill effort.

    Do you think it's ok to be forced into fighting others for 4-6 hours until death?  Fair question. You win a battle or get away and you're forced to next and next and next. No chance to get home quit game, log out, whatever. Most of the players would just give up or surrender at that point...

    That's what the surrender option is there for. Get home fast. If you want Hello Kitty mode on then we can start to backtrack on all the changes. Or you can play on the PvE server. I get you like the changes in your favour but not when it goes the other way. That´s just asking for an easy mode game.

    Hardcore players? The game seems to be more hello kitty than ever for the so called "hardcore" players. One easy mode patch after the other.

    "We get killed to chain, limit it"

    "We cant gank and outnumber people enough in safe zones, limit it!"


    Don't try and tell me this is hardcore when you advocate for carebears online in your favour. The reinforcement zone is a problem for the defender, not any kind of help.

    Gotta love when a small group dictate the game and you wonder why players flee.

    How about some content for once. or fix some of the countless bugs in the game. Like AI doesn't shoot if you are close, AI sails through the land etc.

    Sometimes I think people see problems that aren’t truly there.

    Why would you need to spend hours doing that?

    AI fleets only spawn if there is players. If you jump to a random remote outpost there will be nothing until they start spawn.

    You say limited chain will increase online drop.
    There are two states of the game

    • One with limited chain
    • Another with unlimited chain

    Something must be preferred by players and one is definitely better than another.
    You post online numbers and say they are falling. But chain shot is not limited currently.
    Inferring from your argument (using 1st year logic) this means Unlimited chain shot is the reason of online fall?
    Using your logic further - limited chain will cause online to go up? Because it falls currently with unlimited chain

     

    Lesson of all this. Online will fluctuate. I want more tactical depth in chain use and will add it to the game despite if you want brainless clicker heroes chaining
    Online is falling because there is no advertising and random players who stumble to forums see hating posts from you and decide to wait. 
     

    Let me ask you this then, who asked for this change? What demographic? How large a population?

    But  In fact online numbers are completely irrelevant for me during early access. 
    They are going to continue going up and down between 200-700 during early access every patch

     

    The game is dead post early access unless something big happening. And that isn´t to cater to 25-50 people when they whine about being chained when they wanted easy kills.

    And we all know from history how these kind of changes affects the game. then you can backtrack on the changes later while losing about part of the ever diminishing population and more complaints about not being able to find a battle.

    I get that you got the stuff you need. And the less the plebs have the better your chance is to kill them. I mean you can only win certain ways and if the game go that way its fine. But then the amount of players left will be very small.
