Account has been returned, thank you gentlemen for your assistance in this matter.

    Kindest regards,

Try making a brand new email not linked to anything and never use it for anything besides steam. You use one email for multiple websites/etc and passwords/emails get leaked and sold by the thousands. Good to hear you got your account back though ^_^

In for a penny, in for a pound.

How about making it so that you can enter missions straight from port to spare the waste of time sailing there?

How about instead of heading straight into a mission from port you instantly kill all AI and instantly loot everything.

Well I'd like to see the pirate faction remade into something a lot more realistic and along the lines of the hardcore gameplay that the "black" should be about.

     - No RvR. Pirates never conquered a port and there has never been anything called a "pirate nation". And no - the so-called "pirate republic" out of Nassau was not a republic, and it was most certainly not a state. Let the pirate nation die. No ports, no hideouts, nothing.

     - the ability to hoist any nations flag (but not tag that nation for a limited time after hoisting that nations colours and it can't be done for a limited time after capturing/sinking one of that nations ships) and go into any nations port with a warship.

     - No SoL. In fact no ships above 5th rate. Pirates never sailed ship of the lines, even if they had been able to drum up the manpower required they'd simply lack the infrastructure to outfit, maintain and restock a SoL - same goes for large frigates. Pirates sailed small ships (unrated vessels, ingame 6th-7th rates) and very rarely 5th rates (normally privateers turned pirates, like William Kidd) so let's see them revert to that state.

     - Bring back the outlaw battles - only hardcore players should be playing pirates.

     - raids, but not limited to pirates, since raiding was a common practice by warfarring nations both at land and sea. So generally... Get the raid mechanic done.

     - more flag options for the pirates.

     - A carribean wide bountyboard, to be payed upon the delivery of the infamous pirates head to an official stateclerk in each factions capital (except the cartoon nations that doesn't belong in the carribean historically).

Not able to sail SoL = less content

First of all I would like to see the pirate mechanic entirely remade.

In my opinion pirates should operate from the hidden island(s). They should not be able to conquer ports. But they could do port battles. But their port battles should not be about conquering. Their port battles should be about raiding the harbour.

Say each harbour have a treasury which the pirates then would take if they win the port battle.

It should work for non-capturable. But only for pirates.

This would also make use of the hidden taxes that the AI just buy liquor from.

So. Pirates operate from the secret harbours (which are uncapturable). They cannot conquer ports but they can instead raid them to steal all the money in the  treasury. Along with random loot which grade is based upon the size of the treasury. For example Cartagena de indias would be a quite interesting target for pirates. Not to mention capitals.

Pirates  can still operate from free and/or neutral ports.

Ofc that along with the suggested changes from the OP would in my world make pirates really interesting.

Not that same problem we've had since day one with pirates being just another nation. But something that allow pirates to be more like pirates.

Most of this is a good idea as me being pirate I don't like the idea of capturing ports. There should be a port battle type system where you can raid for gold/resources/etc. For where starting location is and how ports work I am not entirely sure how this should be since new players will join no matter what and figure out "this is too hard" and just quit the game. It should be moderately simple.

Man i really wish there was any reason to have ever sailed Wapen in PvP at all. Inb4 someone telling me how it is / used to be viable...

The people who say it is don't even sail the damn ship in PvP. NOBODY sails the Wapen for PvP.

I would have gone with two like woods, fir-fir vs fir-fir.   While Teak and Fir have the same turn modifiers they have different acceleration numbers.  Which may have an impact on the turn rate number.

teak/teak and fir/fir both have the same turn acceleration being 4.75% as I said the wood type does not matter at all.

Certainly a vet vs. noob is going to be an imbalanced fight based purely on experience of player, that's in some ways my point. It is already going to be one sided, adding mods + perks + wood types on top of pure player experience only tips the scales that much further. Does this make for good gameplay for the noob? Or even for the vet?

Let me ask you, what does refits/books/slots bring to the table? What do they add gameplay wise beyond speed meta and many other issues? You say you do both PvE and PvP in your ship - what is your ship and what is the breakdown of your build? Would a simplified system and build not be also PvE and PvP capable?

Do you want all ships but the Basic Cutter to be removed so we can have fair fights for new players?

  7. Who gets decides what a PvE ship and a PvP is on Naval Action? I actually PvE in my ship that I also use to PvP and I am not making this up. The choice is up for you to decide how you want to PvP. This is not a problem with refits/books/slots this is a problem with it being a veteran player vs a new player because veteran wins no matter what ship he is using. (Yes being a player who spends a lot of time playing is going to win a fight against a noob and thats how the world works).

  8. For what reason did you have to buff the constitutions turn rate so high it almost matches the now useless Wapen? Can you PLEASE buff the wapen or change the constitution back to its previous state as it was a balanced ship... These pictures are without turning refits/books but different woods that have the same turning benefits. Out of all the ships that need to be fixed you fix the ones that don't need anything done to them. Fix the Wasa already and stop making it harder for players to want to sail other ships, I am tired of seeing people sail the same 5 ships because they out perform other ships in all aspects. FIX OTHER SHIPS BEFORE YOU RUIN MORE

PvP has been pretty great on PvP EU since PvP marks were added. Combat news has been pretty crazy.

I know many of you are US based, but so am I. It means port battles times are typically bad, but the OW combat is still good for a US based player.

Also sounds like admin is looking for a way to combine the servers, so there's hope on the horizon :)

Yes if I could move all my stuff to EU and the server had better ping I would but sadly I spent months getting all the books/refits/etc. Something I do not plan on doing again if a reset ever occurs for a server merge.

  10. Please do not limit repairs! This makes no sense as most players use 3-5 repairs already and limiting repairs because of people who use fast ships? Lowering the amount of repairs that can be used will only make them faster... It's a simple theory, fast = squishy/slow = tanky. A fir/fir ship that can possibly carry more repairs then a ship that is incredibly slow because it's live oak/white oak build means the tank ship will not have to repair as much due to the HP/Thickness. There is absolutely nothing wrong with players being able to repair as much as they want because more repairs = slower ship.
