Patch notes look great can't wait. i have a suggestion on the PVP areas if they don't turn out as intended for whatever reason. PvP servers that can be joined in capital. Joining based on BR after a certain point. Maybe AI ships used to even battles out. But not utilized after 3v3 or 300 BR. Server list shows on going matches and pending matches waiting on more players. On going matches not closed to side with lower br. Player can join at anytime as long as br is lower than difference. Maybe battles are based on class of ship. Classes 1-2 in this one. Big team battles allow 1-4 classes. Up to devs. But if you want more PVP in the game that's fair fights and bigger battles. Make it more accessible. Sailing to areas that attract players for leaderboards like proposed system might do that. But instant access to these battles will definitely boost participation.
