    the systems create the issue.   there should be a fame system so you can only access things as your fame increases.  win fight gain rep gain access.....lose fights lose points .....if enemy has more points than you,you get multipliers on wins.....this way farming alts= diminishing returns... but then again why would that make more sense the100th time it is said.

  3. We don't know where our clan warehouse ended up on the server merge....anyway i can find out who has it and if possible get it moved to me please.

  5. So yet again skully has been banned for making what I would consider a dry, humorous and completely right comment.

    The economic design of the game is 100% exploitable by Alt accounts and that the stance of the admins on it encourages people to buy alt accounts because there will be no adjustments to make it different.  

    The comment was fair and did not do anything that is not consistently discussed in forums or in-game and also has numerous resources available from both steam and forums as a how to do such things.

    Free skully from your bad moderation skills as he is clearly a force for good on the forums.    Admin/Mods have consistently been bad a Poasting and Bad at moderation and these kinds of events drive players from the game.   Admin needs to grow up and accept criticism and try to find a better way not just delete and ban like a spoilt child.

    100 million gold is already there as redeem.  there will be XP also ....not sure knowledge will be unlocked initially unless its for testing some actual numbers on them since it will llikely skew baseline feels.

    But yeah, boarding game is a mind game. "Will he last-sec attack? Or is he faking? Should I counter fake? Or is he going to tripple fake?"... Sometimes its just luck, really. Need to understand the boarding basics though

    record i Had was 11 out or 13 ships in the fleet with 1.5 million admiralty......it was stupid easy ...i didnt even fire shots in the end.

    You have to encourage people to go out and PvP not force them to do it. Making people that want to PvE go out so they are targets for PvP'ers is not the way the game should be going. Make the rewards better for PvP or give some other encouragement for people to risk PvP.

    I personally think all the capital regions should be non-PvP zones where new players can learn the game and do missions in peace for the first 3 or 4 ranks. Missions higher than that should not give XP or rewards, so people can use them for practice but not be able to farm them.

    because it is a pvp server which means joining this server you are required to be food as much as everyone else

    because a lot of us left the game waiting for a wipe.  Remember you turned off most of the pirate options driving away a good deal of players.  And the alliances broke some stuff too......numbers are not directly related to that 1 change

    you are implying that a newb has any hope without a clan....you cant talk about newbs pvping when you can't even make it so they can get past a basic cutter with out quitting..

     

    there is no solo...you already made that change

    You do know that we don't actually overlap by more than an hour unless you count the hours after midnight on weekends yeah?     I can't actually write anything that can't be taken as productive comment other than that i guess.  I did try.

  12. OK so the game is still broken and population is dropping and people trying to make content are getting frustrated so let us have a discussion about a preservation idea.

    We all know it lets try to make some quick band-aid fixes to save the game.

     

    Core Idea:

    Give each nation 10 ports to use for Econn near their home ports (Beleize , Mortimer Christiansted Willm  etc.) with all the materials required to build ships.  Rebalance production so each of these 10 ports has a use. Coal,iron,oak,hemp,lignum,fir, and the other stuff so each port needs to be sailed to create a ship.     This way all crafting can continue as normal.Give everyone some gold compensation for their buildings and move all their ships to the new home automatically so they can rebuild and distribute quickly and fairly.)

    Make Islamorada -  Cayo romano -Ayes -La Navasse - Mortimer the Tow To ports for each nation or something similalrly distanced to the bahamas.  This is possible as it was tow to capital and you just change the capitals for now.

    Allow empty ships to be teleported up there. Again known function

    Turn off all Port Taking. Known Function.

    Cap groups at 5 and all instances 5 v 5 no basic cutter access.

    Turn slingshotting back on so your captures can go to the capital for sale.

    Reasons -

    Population drop is becoming critical.  No one can fill battles and people are feeling hunted because of timezone imbalances and population imbalances. 

    No one can get combat fast enough and open world sailing is an option but not required through TP to capital.  TP allowed between your home freeport and your home capital in econn area.

    OW combat is possible but only really in the centre of the map or small raiding groups into nation a areas.  

    People can build ships and move them easily rather than losing all their play time doing garbage activities.  Trading for Ship Building is limited by Building manufacturer.  Combat is accessible but not forced.

    At least this way you can have some happy players in the center fighting and the less combat minded feeding them ships at the capitals.

    Allows RvR redesign without losing more players due to population imbalances and design issues.  There is no scaling so really the ports are being uncontested again. 

    Alternative methods for creating PBs can be created and tested using one of the many freeports.

     

    Discuss,  lets find something that is doable and get the devs to do it rather than the game dying......and it will die if things are not fixed in some way to create easy action. All the population in global is facing issues.

    France are Nightflipped and one ported
    GB cant field PB teams
    US cant field PB teams
    Danes are mostly timeslotted(yes we know why etc thats not the issue)
    Spain is 1 ported
    Pirates have no opposition

    The player base is not self correcting so there needs to be develoment forced changes and this seems like a viable option to me.

    If you don't do something together re a plan then the decay continues and probably increases as no one wants to play with no population.

     

    Please discuss the shortterm solution not the causes unless you think something is missing

    well the concept is pretty easy to implement now they have all the perks/knoledges in place

     

  14. Seatrials and the first 2 months. but there was an issue with PBsin that there was no way to win or lose over time but it was far more fun.

    Flags and disposable 3rd rates were a headache for progress but a hell of a lot more fun than empty PBs.

    Personally if i had my way I would bring back capping all ships put them as 1 duro, shrink the map turn up OW speed and make it less about econn/crafting and grinding and more about getting cheap ships to throw away.

    way things have gone has simply turned the game into a gank fest

  15. I have no real idea of what all this means yet but any changes are better than the current.  you still have timezone issues tho and since you decimated the population so badly its worse than ever.

    merge all servers.

    also your leaving the game issue is as much about OW speed than anything else.  bump open worls speed up again.

  16. cool, hopefully, the devs can take a note on how the pirates should work based on your playstyle.

    I personally have done the Freeport thing and think it is better than the RvR game. Happy enough to just create activity and hopefully content.  let's face it, with 150 players were really not able to play the rvr game anyways.

    somewhat but when the game is so affected by time zone issues people are forced to do things they don't really want to do.  the 3 days warning doesn't change the situation we all know the port battles are going to be time zone affected so it's really about what fun we can create.  lets be more about getting to the fighting and less about the name calling and issues with contracts.

    see that's the thing,  you bash everything and don't even notice the collateral damage.  The council never worked. it was always about what the bigger clans were doing and everyone following their leads.  Too many voices in a room just make noise.  If you want to look at PVP1 results there's a couple of things to remember...EU server now has a locked PB time....the pirates were unable to do port battles for a long time.   we changed the game and highlighted some issues.   Yeah, we stop turning up because it stops being fun.  that's the point of games.  I play the game because of my clannies.  I came back before the wipe because I was asked to by someone...I did they left I stopped.  the same thing will happen again most likely but it is because the people i want to play with swap also.

    Don't think for a minute that this game is fun as a game, it isn't its a screensaver with a tiny bit of combat which feeds the forums.  It's all about the people you play with.
