That's because we worked hard on our map reading skills : after 30 seconds it became clear that we had the overall cohesion of the Gaul tribes, whereas ye redcoats looked as flexible as a freight train in the plains of Canada.
So much for loading our bus with tourists. Although personally, I came here for sipping daiquiris too.

Thank you for the free Victory
Thank you for the free ports

It's always our pleasure to indulge in your literature.

Sir, I am probably misunderstanding your post, are you saying that there never was a British empire?
Yes you do. I say there was a British empire before 1778.

Our hulls are made of baguettes,
Our sails tinted of fine wine
Our cannons smoke cigarettes
Let loose our cheeses-of-the-line!

Of course we have to argue! This is how we keep ourselves entertained while sailing the long way to Panama.

"in return"???
This said without the slightest ounce of irony from me, if there is any quality I sincerely admire in the British, it is their remarkable talent to tell the most fascinating tales. Dracula, Frankenstein, Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, etc... Britain has graced the world with the most inventive, elegant and entertaining fiction ever written.
Now, would you please entertain us with yours, of a timeline so evidently inverted it could only have happened in a parallel universe? How do we gain access to it? I bet it is through a portal in the Greenwich observatory.

La pasión de la destrucción!

Precisely. This one was so elaborate and expensive you had to pay thirteen colonies just to admire it.

I regret to inform you that we French, despite our recent setbacks, have not renounced our claim on the monopoly of Arrogance.
However, our own brand of Arrogance™ doesn't merely consist in constantly belittling others in a drunken rage, like
the rosbifsour desperate neighbours from across the Channel do, but to set the global standard of culture, elaborate fashion, good taste and enlightenment, leaving onlookers in awe.*strikes a pose*

Pirates.
Oh please. I would like to hear this from American lips.

I'll consider it a job well done when you go home with no extra ports having wasted 4 days sailing across the map.
I foresee a huge game of whack-a-mole across the entire Caribbean

It was a pleasure to receive kind words from you guys on our way West. If I may suggest, just let PFK and their likes have their sandbox brawl with DRUNK, while we grown-ups take on the big red troll sitting on the middle of the map.

The US and Britain are not hand in hand at all. We are among the most bitter rivals in this game. We are simply not taking each other's ports right now as both parties have more pressing concerns elsewhere.
I honestly fail to see where said pressing concerns actually lie.

I think spain wasnt at war against britain during the dar denmark/nether-france/swed.That is true, Spain wasn't at war anymore with Britain after being evicted from Panama. This is where it all began.

We only wish it had always been the case.

I believe the sheer size of the British playerbase effectively prevents it from handling a single, coherent foreign policy. Therefore it is tempting to see every other faction turning against them as the game regulating itself, so to speak.

It is funny to see how most of French-Dutch-Swede comments on wars and battles can be basically summed up in "GG, keep them coming", but when Brits are involved it is always insults flying around...
That's not how I recall our exchanges with PFK

Remember Trafalgar the last time you picked the wrong side.
Honor dictates that there be no place at the side of someone who taught his men to "hate the French like the devil", even at the cost of defeat.
Although it makes me smile that his own conduct of marital affairs qualifies him as more French than he would admit.

You might want to specify the server in the thread's title, next time.

It couldn't hurt to have a static view of a 3d port with clickable buildings, though

Erm... you may have missed the time when they actually went for Perdernales, yesterday evening.
Anyway, we are not miserable as to seize this gross violation of the cease-fire terms as a petty excuse to inva....er, to retake what is ours. We leave it to them and their lack of will, of honor I dare say, to meet the obligations of their word and confront Sweden as they so fiercely pretented they would. Lest the weight of shame upon their shoulders sink their entire nation into the depths of the ocean. And there will be no amount of polder engineering that will prevent this.

Looking at the thread's title I, for a moment, thought this was about a war between Danes and Norwegians.
Allow me to express my most sincere disappointment.
