  1. Frogs at your backside and Danes in the north?

I, for one, am happy to reenact 1066.

    However:

Strangely enough i am not responsible for everything other british players say and on the first day when you ran away from a fair fight that you started and had boasted so much about yes, we were very dissapointed in the french attitude and rightly thought the fighitng would be too easy. it was the logical conclusion was it not?

However fortunately that was the first and only time that happened and every battle since then has been well fought. So what if some of us were confident after that and wrong? both sides are always confident and one is always wrong. your side was also confident and you have been the number 1 gloater on every thread there is. can you imagine the scale of the hypocrisy if you had turned out to be the one who was wrong! you are part of a nation that was taken down in a single day so perhaps you should have a bit more of a moderate attitude towards gloating at someone else who loses a few ports. you cant pretend that you arent fighting on behalf of the danes, the facts are indisputable on that one. you were fighting them, they beat you horribly, you surrendered, you are now attacking your former ally to help your conquerer with the excuse that 'we didnt help you enough'.

    srsly?

As for the gloating part, the constant swaggering we read about empire this empire that in every thread makes the pot calling the kettle black. Now since you and you ilk enjoy so much crowing about white flags, we'll soon have the pleasure of teaching you how to wave one properly.

  2. The main difference between the French and swedes is port timers, on the wars against the French both timers were set the same prime time for both, so it became almost trench warfare with good solid battles pretty even.

I can only imagine the Swedish nation is made up of children or the unemployed to fight those hours, don't get me wrong it's tactically clever.

There is no such thing as a beautiful war.

However, ours came as close as it could.

  3. The Spanish will fight on (credit to them - are you watching France)

How many times will you let yourself hoist on your own petard?

We have been watching, highly entertained, the British deploy fanatical efforts on this thread to extricate themselves from the "third front", going after the mosquito while being trampled by an elephant. France, whilst suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, did not initiate peace talks with the Dane. You, on the other side, already scream like a pig after having lost a fraction of your possessions.

The amazing regularity at which your own words come bite you in the rear end, my dear captain, should only compel the most honorable among your countrymen to ask you to change your repertoire, for it is but a stain on England's reputation. Alas it seems, you are enjoying too much playing King of the Hill to notice you are doing it on a pile of rubble.

We wish you good fortune on your endeavour, nonetheless, and to save your breath for when your crew will eventually have you keelhauled under an english hull.

    Sincerely,

    Louis-Antoine de Bougainville

  4. I get a kick out of Spain talking big still...   Not because of anything THEY did, but because they are being allowed to nibble at heels.  And that's only because they got their asses bailed out.

Each one his own. I, for one, get a kick at Britain frantically trying to have an agreement with the nation it was happy to be stomping all over.
