I agree with Thrudd when it comes to lack of fleets on the sea (like I noticed other evening when we where grouped, 1 enemy fleet in approx 40 mins is sadly limited) but I also think this goes bit deeper than just lack of fleet. I suggested a few things to the devs in this thread and maybe some of it can be considered as a combined solution, to increase ingame activity and create a more dynamic and fun gameworld for us players.   2. Devs, This applies to PvE server, I dunno about PvP servers. Recently changes where done to mission system, so random players cant directly join another players mission as before. While theres good reasons behind the change, the consequence of the change is a dry out of "action" for players in PvE. Combination of that change, and at times a very low amount of random enemy fleets makes it harder to earn XP by attacking fleets, and it also makes the game feel very "empty" which again makes it less fun to play. As example : Sailing the route Saint-Nicolas - Tiburon - Sale Trou - Bani - La Mona - Guayama - Mangot - Plymouth is a pretty long trip, and seeing just few cutters/snows, 3-4 enemy fleets in the time it takes to travel that distance, is "sparse amount of activity". Few changes I suggest : 1) Increase number of random action/missions that anyone (with or without group) can join, see step 3 below. 2) Replace "crossing sword icon", with a ship similar to BR/tier of the "event" and put a flag at top mast, with a clear sign its a mission. A ship is realistic, immersive, while hovering icons, not so much. 3) Add variation to "missions" : 3a) intercept tradeship (single ship) 3b) intercept tradeship (ship with escort) 3c) save tradeship (guard it against incoming enemy x1) 3d) save tradeship (guard it against incoming multiple enemies) 3e) destroy enemy ship 3f) destroy enemy ships (fleet) 3g) search & rescue for sailers in sea 3h) recover goods from lost tradeship, bring to named port. 3i) escort "vip ship" from A to B , against single enemy , or multiple enemies. 3j) deliver goods A to B - With lower chance of getting attacked by enemies. 3k) deliver prisoners of war from A to B - With higher chance of getting attacked by enemies. Each mission should reward player with gold / XP. Each successful mission should have random chance of extra bonus XP, loot or gold, related to complexity/difficulty of mission. Missions should be possible to obtain in any port, and some of them should also be possible to find in open waters. Missions found in open waters, should be identifiable by ship & ship-flag, with flag revealing type - difficulty of mission. Missions should be shareable from a player to another player, by simply teaming up in a group. This way, players and especially new players would easier find new things todo which against boost morale and fun. 4) Increase number of random fleets sailing around. At times its possible to sail 20-60 minutes without seeing anything even in places where it would be logical, how come? 5) Give us spyglass access in open waters, to easier scout for ships and missions etc. Thanks,
